Arvind Kejriwal, in his letter to Mohan Bhagwat, raised concerns about certain tactics reportedly being used by BJP leaders in the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections. In the letter, Kejriwal questioned whether the RSS supports the practice of distributing money for vote buying.
He also highlighted concerns regarding the alleged exclusion of Dalit and Purvanchali voters from the electoral process. According to Kejriwal, there have been attempts to remove these groups’ names from the voter list, despite their longstanding presence in Delhi. He asked if the RSS considers such actions acceptable in a democratic system.
AAP Announces Welfare Schemes for Women and Senior Citizens
In parallel with the political developments, Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP have announced several welfare schemes ahead of the elections. Kejriwal introduced a plan to provide ₹2,100 per month to women, with registrations for this scheme already open. Additionally, the AAP has pledged free healthcare for senior citizens in the city.
Delhi Election Preparations Intensify as Dates Awaited
Though the Election Commission has not yet confirmed the dates for the Delhi Assembly elections 2025, they are expected to take place in February. Political parties across the spectrum, including the AAP, are preparing their strategies and engaging with voters in anticipation of the elections.
