Eastern Peripheral Expressway: The route to connect the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway has received the Green signal. After these two expressways join, the travel distance from Noida International Airport will be more easier and faster. People coming to the Airport from Haryana, Uttarakhand and a part of Western UP will benefit from the move. The land issue to connect the two expressways has been cleared now. The farmers had stopped the construction of this interchange demanding that they will be given Residential Plots near the expressway. This project was built over a cost of 80 crore Rupees. The whole project was completed in over 18 months. However the project was stuck for the last 4 years due to the Non delivery of land by the farmers.

Interchange will be built near Jaganpur Afzalpur village

This interchange will be built near Jaganpur Afzalpur village to connect the Eastern Peripheral and Yamuna Expressway. The Farmers had demanded a compensation of Rs 3500 per square meter and 64% additional compensation. This issue was resolved  later. The Yamuna Authority wanted to give residential plots to the farmers in sector -25, but the farmers wanted the plots near the expressway. Due to this reason, the construction work could not begin.

The Construction Work likely to begin soon

The authority had identified 77 hectares of land for the 350 farmers. This land is near the expressway. According to the Yamuna Authority the issues of the farmers have been resolved , and now the construction work of the interchange will begin soon.
