Weather Update April 1 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted orange alert for the states of Hits Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab & Rajasthan.

All districts of the national capital are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall along with lightning and violent thunderstorms on April 1. Gusty winds of up to 55-60 kilometres per hour are likely to prevail over the Delhi NCR region.

The IMD said that a western disturbance over north Iran as well as the Caspian Sea region along with active cyclonic circulations over northwest Rajasthan is likely to impact weather over northern India states for the next few days.

Hisar, Sonipat, Panchkula, Hansi, Kosli, Gohana, Safidon and Ratia may experience cloudy conditions and gusty winds, especially during evening and night hours. Chandigarh, Pathankot, Abohar, Malerkotla, Batala, Phagwara, Sunam and Zira may experience moderate rainfall and gusty winds.

Several parts of Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Agra, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Mathura, Vrindavan and Bareilly may witness rainfall and thunderstorms.

Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir And Himachal Pradesh Weather Update

Shimla, Manali, Bilaspur, Kangra, Dalhousie, Solang, Kasauli and Palampur may witness moderate rain and thunderstorms. Some regions in the state may receive fresh spells of rainfall. Dehradun, Haridwar, Kotdwar, Ramnagar, Champawat, Vikasnagar, Tanakpur and Didihat may witness intermittent rains and snowfall in some regions.

Srinagar, Jammu, Baramulla, Sonamarg, Zanskar, Dras, Kargil and Kupwara may experience cold waves along with rainfall in most regions.

Weather Update March 31 2026: Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan Weather Update

Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Bhilwara, Dungarpur, Banswara, Churu and Sri Ganganagar may experience induced cyclonic circulation, resulting in rainfall and hailstorms in some regions.

Bhopal, Indore, Dewas, Khandwa, Hoshangabad, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Singrauli and Sidhi may experience cyclonic circulation, bringing 1–2 heavy rain spells.
