Patna News: Today, hundreds of Bihar-based Anganwadi workers protested in front of Vidhan Bhavan in Patna, demanding to be granted the status of government workers. The Bihar Vidhan Bhavan was encircled by these Anganwadi workers.

Police’s Powerful Response

The police then used the water cannon to shoot a powerful spray of water to scatter them. There are reports that the Anganwadi personnel were subjected to lathi charges by the police. Even when an Anganwadi worker passed out during the demonstration, police kept firing water cannons to scatter the demonstrators.

Anganwadi Workers Voice Anti-Government Slogans During Vidhan Sabha Protest

As they demonstrate in front of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, Patna anganwadi workers shout anti-government slogans. Hundreds of Anganwadi workers began arriving in front of Vidhan Bhavan in Patna as soon as the morning arrived. Anganwadi personnel quickly came in large numbers there. Anganwadi employees began yelling chants to express support for their requests. They were first asked to leave the Vidhan Bhavan by the police.

Anganwadi Workers Seek Shelter from Forceful Water Jets

The Patna Police initially used a powerful water cannon jet to scatter the Anganwadi workers when they stepped up their protest. Anganwadi personnel were observed shielding themselves from the powerful water current. According to reports, the police used lathicharge when the Anganwadi workers’ gathering refused to disperse in spite of the might of the water cannon.
