Bhagwant Mann: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has extended heartfelt thanks to the first 1,000 donors who have contributed towards ‘Mission Chardikla’, a state-led rehabilitation initiative aimed at rebuilding Punjab after the devastating floods.

Taking to social media in Punjabi and Hindi, Mann said these early contributions reflect the collective spirit of Punjab and mark the beginning of a long journey to restore normalcy in flood-hit regions. “I am grateful to the first thousand donors for their generosity. Their support will strengthen Punjab in standing tall once again,” he wrote.

The Chief Minister also made an emotional appeal to all Punjabis, including the diaspora across the globe, to participate actively in this noble cause. He underlined that unity and collective efforts are essential to overcome the destruction caused by the floods.

How to Contribute

Donations can be made through the official government portal: http://rangla.punjab.gov.in. According to officials, the funds collected will be transparently utilised for relief and rehabilitation, including rebuilding homes, restoring infrastructure, and supporting families who have lost their livelihood.

Rebuilding with Resilience

The Punjab government has launched Mission Chardikla not just as a relief measure but as a vision to restore communities with dignity and long-term stability. Special emphasis will be placed on repairing schools, healthcare facilities, and essential services disrupted by the floods.

Chief Minister Mann highlighted that Punjab has always shown strength in the face of adversity. “With the blessings of people and the support of Punjabis worldwide, we will turn this challenge into an opportunity to make our state stronger and more resilient,” he added.

A Call for Global Punjabi Solidarity

The government’s appeal to NRIs is particularly significant, as the Punjabi diaspora has historically played a crucial role in supporting welfare and development projects back home. Officials said the administration expects a strong response from across countries, which will not only provide financial aid but also reaffirm the global community’s bond with Punjab.

With Mission Chardikla gaining momentum, the initiative is shaping up as a people’s movement to rebuild Punjab stronger, safer, and more united after the floods.
