Punjab News: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is making significant strides in generating employment opportunities for the youth. In a recent event, Barinder Kumar Goyal, the Minister for Land and Water Conservation, handed over appointment letters to 21 newly appointed candidates at Punjab Bhawan.
Transparent Recruitment Process Welcomed
The distribution included 19 Agricultural Sub-Inspectors, one Junior Draftsman, and one Peon. Minister Goyal congratulated the appointees, emphasising the importance of working with dedication and sincerity. He highlighted that these appointments were conducted transparently, ensuring only deserving candidates based on merit were selected.
The minister also pointed out that past governments eroded public trust with nepotism in government job allocations. However, under Bhagwant Mann's leadership, the focus has shifted to merit-based appointments, restoring people’s faith in governance.
Jobs Bringing Back Punjab’s Youth
One of the most notable aspects of the new appointments is that they have prompted some candidates to return to Punjab. Among the appointees, two individuals previously working in Canada have now returned to take up roles as Agricultural Sub-Inspectors. This shift reflects the positive impact of the government’s efforts to create local job opportunities.
Over 50,000 Youth Employed Under Current Leadership
The minister proudly announced that the current administration is the first in India to provide jobs to over 50,000 youth from ordinary families during its tenure. He expressed hope that the newly recruited Agricultural Sub-Inspectors and Draftsmen would serve as the backbone of the Land and Water Conservation Department, effectively implementing government schemes for resource management.
Encouraging Awareness and Dedication
Minister Goyal urged the new recruits to create awareness among farmers about land and water conservation programs. He directed officials to organise awareness camps statewide to ensure farmers understand and benefit from these initiatives.
Top Officials Emphasise Resource Management
Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture), Shri Anurag Verma, congratulated the new appointees and highlighted the critical importance of water conservation. Similarly, Chief Land Officer Mahinder Pal Saini welcomed the recruits and encouraged them to perform their duties with full responsibility and dedication.
This drive underlines Punjab’s focus on employment generation and resource management, showcasing the government’s commitment to empowering its youth and driving development.
