Punjab Police has taken strong action against drug smugglers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has launched a strict crackdown on the drug syndicate. As part of this campaign, Punjab Police carried out a bulldozer operation last night against drug mafia Sonu. His house was demolished overnight to send a strong message.
Punjab Police has also issued a warning, making it clear that those involved in drug trafficking should stop their illegal activities. Strict action will continue against them to make Punjab a drug-free state.
Bulldozer Action on Drug Mafia Sonu
A video of this bulldozer operation in Punjab has been shared by news agency ANI. In the video, Punjab Police can be seen demolishing the house of drug mafia Sonu. This action was taken in Talwandi village, where Sonu had built illegal constructions.
Sonu has been involved in drug smuggling for the past three years and has six FIRs registered against him. Punjab Police’s action against him serves as a strong warning to others involved in similar activities.
Punjab Police in Action Mode in Tarn Taran
Punjab Police has also taken action in Tarn Taran, where two notorious criminals were caught during an encounter. According to Ajay Raj Singh, an officer of the Tarn Taran unit, criminals Prakash Singh and Prabhjeet Singh were injured in the operation. They were involved in recent firing incidents.
Ajay Raj Singh further informed, “DGP and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann have given clear instructions to take action against criminals. When our team signaled a motorcycle to stop, the criminals fired at the police. In response, the police also fired back, injuring them in their legs.”
The police have recovered a .32 bore pistol and two live cartridges from the criminals. Further investigation is underway.
