Congress Observer’s: CM Ashok Gehlot not blamed for Rajasthan crisis

Congress Party observers have sent their report to Congress President Sonia Gandhi regarding the ongoing political crisis after the rebellion of Congress MLAs in Rajasthan. According to sources, Ashok Gehlot has been given a clean chit for the political crisis in Rajasthan in this report. Observers have not held him technically responsible for the development. However, it has recommended disciplinary action against prominent leaders who convene a parallel meeting of MLAs.

The in-charge and observers of Rajasthan Congress have told about the entire political developments in a sequential manner in their 9-page report. According to sources, the report recommended action against ministers in the Rajasthan government and Congress MLAs Shanti Kumar Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and Congress leader Dharmendra Rathod. Apart from this, there are names of some other leaders, against whom action has been recommended.

On the other hand, sources also told that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is not out of the race for the presidential election yet. He is in a wait and watch position to contest the elections. If he gets instructions from Congress President Sonia Gandhi, then only he will file nomination for the Presidential election.

After the Rajasthan crisis, some members of the Congress Working Committee had complained to the party high command that someone else should be made a candidate in place of Gehlot. However, the high command is still being told in the mood to give Gehlot a chance.

In fact, Sonia Gandhi had asked Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken, the two observers who returned from Jaipur on Monday, to submit a written report. Kharge and Maken returned to Delhi on Monday after the legislature party meeting could not be held in Jaipur and MLAs supporting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took a rebellious stand and met Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath, the residence of the Congress president.

It is noteworthy that the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party in Rajasthan was to be held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday evening, but many MLAs loyal to Gehlot did not attend the meeting. He held a meeting at the bungalow of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal and then from there the Speaker of the Assembly, DrCP went to meet Joshi and submitted his resignation to him.
