Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav recently spoke to journalists in Patna, where he made remarks about Tejashwi Yadav while mentioning Lalu Yadav. Addressing the rumors of cracks in the RJD-Congress alliance, Pappu Yadav made it clear that defeating the BJP without Congress is very difficult. Taking a subtle dig at RJD, he said, "Even if a camel sits down, it will still be taller than a donkey."

When asked about forming an alliance with RJD in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Pappu Yadav stated that Congress never breaks alliances from its side. He added, "If you give respect, you will get respect in return." Though he didn’t take names directly, his words hinted towards Tejashwi Yadav.

What Did Pappu Yadav Say About the RJD-Congress Alliance in Bihar?

A journalist asked Pappu Yadav if Congress would follow Lalu Yadav’s leadership in Bihar. In a sharp response, Pappu Yadav said, "Who is saying that? Even if a camel sits down, it will still be taller than a donkey. Lalu Yadav is my elder and a respected leader. He has his own party. Congress leaders are Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Defeating BJP without Congress is difficult. If the Congress General Secretary has said something, it reflects the party’s ideology. Whatever responsibility is given to me, Kanhaiya Kumar, or anyone else, we will stand by the party’s ideology and leadership."

When asked whether Congress can contest alone in Bihar, he replied, "I don’t know about that. Right now, there is an alliance, and Congress does not break alliances on its own. Congress has been underestimated. If you give respect, you will get respect. Just like Lalu Yadav deserves respect, Congress also deserves equal respect. No party can defeat BJP by insulting Congress. I believe that Bihar’s 13 crore people will stand with Congress."

A Strong Message for Tejashwi Yadav Before Bihar Assembly Elections 2025!

Currently, RJD is led by Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu Yadav. The final decision on the RJD-Congress alliance also lies in his hands. However, before the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Pappu Yadav has made his stance clear. Without taking names, he conveyed his message to Tejashwi Yadav.

Pappu Yadav strongly stated that Congress will not compromise or accept a lower position in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. He emphasised that Congress has its own vote bank and must receive equal seat-sharing and decision-making power in the alliance.
