CM Dhami reacts on remarks made by Swami Prasad Maurya on Badrinath Temple

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has retaliated on the statement of SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya. He said that the statement of a Samajwadi Party leader involved in the ‘Mahatagbandhan’ reflects the anti-national and anti-religious thinking of the Congress and its allies. He described Swami Prasad Maurya’s comment on Badrinath Dham as unfortunate. The Chief Minister said that Badrinath Dham is the center of faith of crores of devotees. In such a situation, the idea of Swami Prasad Maurya also reveals the supremacy of the ideology of SIMI and Popular Front of India (PFI) in the opposition parties.

Adi Shankaracharya made Badrinath Dham a Hindu temple. He said that my intention is not to uproot the dead. Hindu Muslim Sikh Christian are all brothers. He said that we do not believe in dividing the society but in uniting it. Swami Prasad Maurya advocated accepting the status quo till 15 August 1947 to maintain mutual harmony.
