Extreme Heat Causes Railway Tracks In Lucknow To Melt, Huge Accident Averted By Pilot

A major train accident was averted at the Nigohan railway station in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. According to information, as soon as the Nilanchal Express passed through the loop line at around 5 pm on Saturday evening, the tracks of the train melted and spread in the heat. Actually, instead of the main line at Nigohan station, he was sent to the loop line.

Huge Accident Averted By Pilot

When the loco pilot felt a shock due to the spread of the track, he stopped the train. Immediately the pilot informed the control room. After this, the employees of the engineering section repaired the track.

If experts are to be believed, this might have happened due to poor maintenance track. At present, Lucknow’s DRM Suresh Sapra has set up an inquiry into the whole matter.

According to information, another train was standing in the main line of Nigohan railway station on Prayagraj-Pratapgarh route from Lucknow. Because of which Nilanchal Express passed through the loop line and during this time the train pilot slowed down the speed of the train and then stopped it by going ahead. For this reason, the express passed through the crooked railway tracks without any mishap. Otherwise a big accident could have happened like Balasore train accident.
