Continuous Complaints Lead to Action

Residents of Indirapuram have long raised concerns about illegal encroachments, which have made roads congested and public spaces unusable. After receiving multiple complaints, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation decided to take strict action. Bulldozers have been deployed to remove unauthorised constructions that block roads and hinder movement.

Focus Areas of the Campaign

According to officials, the drive will specifically target roadside encroachments, occupied green belts, and illegally occupied public spaces. This marks the first major campaign by the Municipal Corporation since Indirapuram was officially brought under its jurisdiction. The aim is to free up vital spaces and restore order in the area.

Municipal Corporation Warns of Strict Punishment

Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Kumar Yadav emphasised that this is just the beginning. "We are removing all encroachments across Indirapuram, ensuring that public spaces are accessible again," he said. He also warned that if illegal structures reappear, the corporation will take strict action against those responsible.

The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is also considering creating a separate zone for Indirapuram, given its large population and increasing urban challenges. Officials believe that a dedicated zone will help in better management and long-term solutions to illegal encroachments.
