Guddu Muslim changing identity to a Hindu to dodge police?

Guddu Muslim, an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and the henchman of slain gangster Atiq Ahmed, is absconding from the police since 62 days. According to media reports, he has been evading the police by changing his appearance and using fake identities to live at different places. Not only this, he has also used different Hindu names in these two months to escape from the police.

The police had come to know that Guddu’s last location was in Bargarh, Odisha. He was present in Odisha from 2 to 13 April and was hiding in the state for about 12 days. He fled leaving a bag full of clothes here. From here the police also detained Guddu Muslim’s aide Raja Khan.

The one who revealed that he had grown his beard so that he did not get caught by the police. In these 62 days, he used names like Bablu, Surendra Kumar and Sandeep Kumar.

Where is Guddu Muslim?

Raja Khan told the police that after visiting places like Meerut, Ajmer, Jhansi, Nashik and Pune, he has now fled to Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, those who knew Guddu Muslim claimed that Atiq had no reason to kill Umesh Pal. Guddu had planned the entire murder. Sources said that when Atiq and his brother Ashraf were in jail, their entire business was in the hands of Guddu Muslim and during this time he secretly invested money in several businesses including coal supply.

Sarangarh police on alert mode

STF has found the last location of Guddu Muslim in Sohela area located on the border of Odisha and Chhattisgarh, which is close to Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district of Chhattisgarh. That’s why Sarangarh police has come in alert mode. Police has increased security from Sariya police station area to Dongripali police station. Checking of all vehicles is going on.
