UP Viral Video: Shocking news from the Amroha district of UP is coming out. A group of police men were found to be brutally beating a local tea vendor and his two sons over minor disputes.
Allegations are high as the policemen were alleged to be intoxicated and without uniform at that moment. This leads to mass-scale suspensions and widespread debates.
Tea Vendor Beaten in Amroha by Intoxicated Police
Journalist Sachin Gupta shares the viral clip of that heated moment on his official X handle. The video shows that the local men around the tea stall were grabbing the police men after they beat the tea vendor Shamshuddin and his son Shakib, and Shahadat.
The initial report, as shared by him in the caption of this post, reveals that the police men were intoxicated at that moment. None of them was wearing their police uniform. Disputes between these off-duty police men and the local tea vendor arose allegedly over taking goods.
The man filming can be heard saying, “Ye dekho, battamizi kar rahe hain yaha pe, without uniform hain, faltu mein badmaashi kar rahe hain ye log.” The video clearly captures the faces of the policemen involved in the incident. Following the outrage, two constables have been suspended for their actions.
This swift action by the department has now shifted attention to the ongoing inquiry, where further accountability is being examined.
Two Constables Suspended After Beating
As the viral video gets the attention of the UP police, they have decided to take action. Two constables, Rahul Bhati and Vijay, were found directly guilty and have already been suspended for the deed. Whereas the sub-inspector Akash Kumar, and constables Deepak Tomar, and Rahul Rana are sent to the police lines.
The policemen were posted at the Rajabpur police station, and the Circle Officer of that area is investigating the entire issue. There will be a detailed departmental inquiry on this.
Viral Video Sparks Public Outrage Online
People are showing clear anger against this deed by saying “aise police wale yahi kr he skte hai..”. Netizens are shaming the police for this act of the police, saying “kya besharm log ho tum” and “Rakshak hi bhakshak ho gaye hain“.
One reflects on the fact that, “Pahle log gundo se darte thay ab police wale se darte he jab ki police ka kaam hota he logo ki hefazat karna“. People are demanding greater actions than mere suspensions by saying “Abhiyog panjikrit kiya jana tha. Khule-aam maar rahe hain, gaali de rahe hain“.
Following this widespread public backlash, the respected police department will take the matter seriously. However, such repeated cases of unlawful behaviour of police often made us question the role of our protectors.
