Design
When you’re fully immersed in the VR or AR experience, the Meta Quest Pro comes with ergonomic controls for interaction. But you will also have the choice to use your hands to explore augmented or virtual reality environments instead of using controllers. In contrast to the Apple Vision Pro, which has a glass front, the Meta Quest 3 is designed with an LCD instead.
The Apple Vision Pro is special in that it doesn’t require controllers to move around in the VR or AR world. Apple’s VR headset is instead controlled by your hands, mouth, and eyes. Additionally, it has two micro OLED displays that allow people to see your eyes when you are in an augmented reality environment. If you switch to virtual reality, however, your eyes won’t be visible to others.
The fact that the battery of the Meta Quest 3 is integrated into the headset, as opposed to the Apple Vision Pro, which has an external corded battery that you may place in your pocket, is another significant difference between the two devices’ designs.
Price
Compared to the Apple Vision Pro, the Meta Quest 3 is significantly less expensive, coming in at just $499 for the base model with 128GB of storage. A different model with 512GB of storage costs $649.
Even the most expensive version of Quest 3 is less expensive than Apple’s Vision Pro, which will sell for $3499.
