Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 11: Ahaan Panday Starrer Sees Biggest Drop, Yet Beats THIS Hrithik Roshan Movie Amid ‘Copy’ Controversy

Saiyaara, the romantic drama featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is now in its second week and still going strong. Even though the film saw its biggest drop on Day 11, it has managed to beat Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 in India’s lifetime box office figures. That has only added more buzz around the film’s box office journey.

Directed by Mohit Suri and backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has impressed audiences with its emotional storyline and soulful music.

The film earned a solid Rs 26.5 crore on its second Saturday and Rs 30 crore on Sunday. On Monday (Day 11), it collected Rs 9.50 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. With this, the total India net now stands at Rs 256.75 crore.

The film’s performance isn’t limited to India alone. Saiyaara has also done extremely well overseas. It has collected Rs 77 crore from international markets, taking the total worldwide figure to a massive Rs 373.7 crore. Out of that, Rs 247.25 crore comes from India alone.

What’s even more impressive is that Saiyaara has now crossed the lifetime India net of Krrish 3, which had made Rs 244 crore. This is a huge moment for both Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, marking a strong debut for the fresh pair.

On Day 11, despite the drop, the film managed decent occupancy in major cities. Chennai topped the charts with 32.50% occupancy, followed by Jaipur (27.50%), Bengaluru (22%), NCR, and Hyderabad (18.50%).

Here’s a look at the Day 11 occupancy:

Morning: 11.22%

Afternoon: 19.34%

Evening: 18.24%

Night: 20.81%

Song Controversy Surrounding Saiyaara

Even as the film collects big numbers, it hasn’t escaped controversy. The title track of Saiyaara, which now holds the No. 4 spot on Spotify’s Top Global chart, is being called out for sounding similar to One Direction’s “Night Changes” and Jubin Nautiyal’s “Humnava Mere.”

Music composer Tanishk Bagchi addressed the allegations during an interview with India Today. He said, “Whatever I do, people will have something to say because they don’t have [anything better to do]… But ultimately, the song will go wherever it’s destined to, and that’s what’s happening with Saiyaara too.”

He added, “Even if you can do that, it’s really difficult to make it a hit… We didn’t steal anything. The similarities are fine… Idhar se utha ke udhar nahi kiya (We didn’t pick something from there and add it here). We worked on the emotion of the song, and that worked.”

What Is Saiyaara About?

Saiyaara tells the emotional journey of Krish Kapoor, played by Ahaan Panday, a young musician chasing his dreams, and Vaani Batra, played by Aneet Padda, an aspiring author. Their story is set in a world filled with music, love, and ambition.

With the current numbers, Saiyaara is turning out to be one of the biggest successes of the year. If the momentum continues, the film could soon enter the Rs 400 crore club.
