In a deeply emotional moment, a Haryana resident's unwavering faith in PM Modi touched the nation. Rampal Kashyap, a devoted follower of the Prime Minister, fulfilled his 14-year-long vow by meeting Modi and finally wearing shoes—gifted by none other than the PM himself.
Rampal Kashyap, a resident of Kaithal, Haryana, had been walking barefoot since 2009. He made a vow that he would only wear shoes after PM Modi became the Prime Minister and he personally met him.
Through sweltering summers and harsh winters, Kashyap stayed true to his promise. His journey was not just about walking barefoot—it was a symbol of deep trust in PM Modi’s leadership and a belief that he would transform India.
The long wait ended when Kashyap received an invitation to attend PM Modi’s public meeting in Yamunanagar, Haryana. In a heartfelt moment, PM Modi bent down and placed shoes on Kashyap’s feet with his own hands.

The Prime Minister was visibly moved and humbly requested people not to take such extreme vows again. “This is not just for me. This shows the strength of people’s belief in change,” he said.
Later, PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter), reflecting on the meeting. “I met Shri Rampal Kashyap Ji, who walked barefoot for 14 years. His love humbles me. But I urge such followers to direct their devotion towards social work and building the nation,” he wrote.
Kashyap, with tears in his eyes, expressed his heartfelt thanks. The shoes, a simple item, became a symbol of faith, sacrifice, and connection between a common man and his chosen leader.
