He wrote, “On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya. Blessed to have the Darshan of both. Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. PM Modi Strengthens India-Sri Lanka Ties with Railway Inauguration During Sri Lanka Visit

While in Sri Lanka, PM Modi, along with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, jointly inaugurated key India-backed railway projects in Anuradhapura. This marked a major boost in bilateral cooperation in infrastructure between the two countries.

The leaders flagged off two major initiatives: the upgraded railway track of the Maho-Omanthai line, and a newly constructed signalling system for the Maho-Anuradhapura segment. Both projects were implemented with Indian support and executed by IRCON International Limited, a public sector unit under India’s Ministry of Railways.

These projects are expected to enhance connectivity and safety in the northern railway region of Sri Lanka. Locals enthusiastically welcomed the leaders, with large crowds gathering at the station, capturing the historic moment on their mobile phones.
