Filmfare 2025: The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 was a night full of glamour, emotions and big wins. Bollywood stars came together at EKA Arena, Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad. Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul hosted the grand event. It was a night that celebrated the best of Indian cinema with stunning performances and touching moments.
Among all the highlights, one moment stole everyone’s hearts. It was when Shah Rukh Khan gave Kartik Aaryan a big, warm hug. Kartik won the Best Actor (Male) award for Chandu Champion, which he shared with Abhishek Bachchan for I Want To Talk. The superstar’s sweet gesture went viral and became one of the most loved moments of the night.

Filmfare 2025 Full Winners List
Laapataa Ladies was the biggest winner of the night. It took home 13 trophies, including Best Film and Best Director for Kiran Rao. Sneha Desai and Ram Sampath also won in multiple categories such as Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Music Album, and Best Background Score.
Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for Jigra. Rajkummar Rao took the Critics’ Best Actor award for Srikanth, while Pratibha Ranta from Laapataa Ladies won Critics’ Best Actress.
Lakshya was named Best Debut Actor (Male) for Kill, and Nitanshi Goel won Best Debut Actor (Female) for Laapataa Ladies. Kunal Kemmu and Aditya Suhas Jambhale shared the Best Debut Director award for Madgaon Express and Article 370.
The audience gave a standing ovation as Zeenat Aman and the late Shyam Benegal were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Shah Rukh Khan is now busy filming his next big project, King. The action film also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, along with Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhishek Bachchan. This Siddharth Anand directorial is expected to release in 2026.
Kartik Aaryan is currently working on Tu Hi Meri Zindagi, a musical love story directed by Anurag Basu. The film stars Sreeleela opposite Kartik and is also set to release in 2026.
