Mahindra eKUV100 Ev car: This e-SUV has everything to conquer the market – power, features and price, what we know so far

Mahindra eKUV100 Ev car: The Indian market will soon see the introduction of numerous new SUVs from Mahindra & Mahindra. The producer will pay close attention to electric transportation, and 8 EVs are expected to be introduced by 2027. The eXUV300, which could also be called XUV400, is expected to debut in early 2023 as the first of these forthcoming electric cars.

It is anticipated that the debut of the Mahindra eKUV100 would occur shortly after. At the 2020 Auto Expo, M&M initially debuted the eKUV100 in the Indian market and announced that its starting price would be Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry-level EV has not yet begun selling, though.

Battery and Range

The Mahindra eKUV100, which included a single electric engine on the front axle and a 15.9 kWh battery pack, was unveiled at the most recent Auto Expo (rated at 54.4 PS and 120 Nm). On a full charge, the car was said to have a range of up to 150 kilometres. The battery could be recharged in 55 minutes using a fast charger or 5 and a half hours with a conventional charger.

Rival and expected price

The Mahindra eKUV100 won’t have any direct competitors in India until it is released. However, this will alter given that Hyundai is reportedly creating an inexpensive EV for our market and Maruti Suzuki is working on an all-electric Wagon R.

The projected price range for the eKUV100 is between Rs 9 and 13 lakh. The eKUV might be the most affordable EV in India, more affordable than both the eVerito (Rs 9.12 lakh) and the Tata Tigor EV, if Mahindra prices it aggressively enough (Rs 9.58 lakh).
