An Ahmedabad court on Thursday granted bail to Trinamool Congress spokesperson Saket Gokhale in a case related to his alleged tweet about the Morbi bridge collapse, but he was soon arrested in another case registered by the Morbi police.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime) Jitendra Yadav said Chief Metropolitan Magistrate MV Chauhan granted bail to Gokhale. According to him, he was produced before the court after the police custody was over.

It may be noted that on December 1, Gokhale had shared a news item based on information received under the Right to Information Act, according to which Rs 30 crore had been spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Morbi after the bridge collapse. On Tuesday morning, the Press Information Bureau had tweeted and called it fake news.
Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien alleged that party spokesperson Saket Gokhale has been arrested again by the Gujarat Police after getting bail. Saket Gokhale was arrested for his tweet supporting an alleged fake news about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Morbi after the bridge collapse incident.
Derek O’Brien tweeted on Thursday that TMC’s Saket Gokhale is being harassed by the Gujarat Police even after getting bail. Arrested again on 8 December at 8.45 pm. When he was leaving the cyber police station in Ahmedabad. The police team is arresting them without notice or warrant and taking them to an undisclosed location.
TMC leader Saket Gokhale was arrested on Tuesday. He was sent to police custody till 8 December. On Thursday evening, Derek O’Brien tweeted that Trinamool’s national spokesperson Saket Gokhale has been granted bail. He said that the party is always ready to fight the battle of the people.
Hours after this tweet, Derek O’Brien alleged that Saket Gokhale has been arrested again by the Gujarat Police and is being taken to an undisclosed location.
