Bizarre! US man loses 26 Kg With 100-Day McDonald’s Diet, wife sheds 8 kg

In an intriguing turn of events, a man from the United States claimed that he lost 58.5 pounds (approximately 26.5 kg) by eating only McDonald’s food over three months. According to a report by Fox News, Kevin Maginnins, 57, only ate McDonald’s fries and burgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 100 days consecutively. “Three meals a day, every day, for the last 100 days, nothing but McDonald’s,” he said. This meal, per his claim, helped him go  179.5 pounds (81 kg) from 238 pounds (107.9 kg), almost losing 26 kg.

‘Never got burned out’

Maginnis further claimed that he “never got burned out” on Big Macs. Two of his major secrets were to drink water instead of soda and eat half of the food that was served.

“Half a plate to lose the weight – three-quarters of a plate to maintain the weight, any food, including McDonald’s,” Maginnis said.

Blood pressure, cholesterol improved

Not only lose weight, but this unique diet also helped Maginnis gain control over his blood pressure and cholesterol. His cholesterol had decreased by 65 points, while his blood pressure was “one of a teenager”.

He avoided snacks in between meals and only drank water. “I was pre-diabetic before – down into healthy ranges now,” Maginnis said.

Now that the 57-year-old has been visiting McDonald’s for over 100 days now, there are McDonald’s locations that know him.

His wife joins in

Maginnis is not alone in this adventure as his wife, too, has joined him. His wife, who was surprised to see these marvelous results, joined him on the 40th day. She too has managed to lose 8 pounds (8 kg), as per Fox News report.

During his weight loss journey with McDonald’s, Maginnis avoided alcohol or munching on snacks. “Because I was eating so small, I was always hungry by the time the next meal rolled around,” Mr Maginnis said, urging people to focus on portion size.

He added, “Are there better micronutrients or macronutrients for brain health? Absolutely. But when it comes to getting rid of obesity, reduce the size of the meals.”
