Israel Advisory: An advisory has been issued to all Indian nationals in Tel Aviv by the Indian Embassy.

Nationals are advised to stay vigilant and adhere strictly to all safety guidelines that are issued by the Israeli Home Front Command and Authorities.

The Indian Embassy also urged Indian nationals to avoid all forms of non-essential travel to the Middle East country.

Israel Advisory-Important Contact Numbers

The Indian Embassy in Israel noted that Indian nationals in the Middle East country can reach out to its 24/7 helpline at Telephone: +972-54-7520711; +972-54-3278392, E-mail: cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in

Why Was The Advisory Issued?

The Indian Embassy’s advisory was issued as nationwide protests continue to escalate against Ayatollah Khamenei’s regime in Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has threatened Israel and the United States against any kind of misadventure. In Iran, more than 12,000 people are believed to be brutally killed by the regime’s armed forces.

On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi had a word with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The two discussed the prevailing situation in and around the Middle East country.

Earlier, India had issued urgent advisory urging citizens of India to avoid any form of travel to Iran until further notice. It also urged those already in Iran to exit the country using available commercial flights on an immediate basis.

In another development, the Indian Embassy in Tehran had advised nationals of India to leave the country at the possible earliest opportunity. It was reiterated by the advisory that all citizens of India and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) should observe a high sense of care and diligence. It also said that they should avoid areas of demonstrations or protests, monitor local media for any new developments and stay in constant touch with the Indian Embassy in Iran.

The long-settled divorce between actor Karisma Kapoor and late industrialist Sunjay Kapur is back in the spotlight. Priya Kapur, Sunjay’s third wife, has approached the Supreme Court seeking certified copies of all documents related to the 2016 proceedings.

A bench of Justice AS Chandurkar will review Priya’s request in a chamber hearing. She has asked for the divorce petition, all court documents, Supreme Court orders, and the settlement agreement detailing financial and child custody arrangements made by her late husband.

The move comes amid an ongoing legal battle over Sunjay Kapur’s estate, reportedly worth Rs 30,000 crore. His untimely death in June last year at the age of 53 triggered high-profile litigation, with disputes surfacing over his controversial will.

Karisma Kapoor Divorce Documents In Supreme Court Focus

Priya Kapur’s application brings Karisma Kapoor’s divorce documents back into public attention. The Supreme Court will decide whether these confidential papers should be released.

Legal experts say access to certified copies could help clarify the settlement agreement and any financial obligations stipulated during the divorce. The case could also affect the ongoing scrutiny of Sunjay Kapur’s will and estate.

Family Feud Over Sunjay Kapur’s Estate

Sunjay Kapur’s children, Samaira and Kiaan Kapur, have challenged the will in the Delhi High Court, claiming it is “forged and fabricated.” They allege that Priya Kapur, along with attesting witnesses, falsified documents to exclude them from the estate.

The siblings have requested to inspect the original will, which was submitted in a sealed cover last September. They have also sought an interim order to prevent Priya from selling or transferring assets until the legal disputes are resolved.

As the case unfolds, the battle over Sunjay Kapur’s wealth is likely to remain in the headlines, drawing attention from both Bollywood and business circles. The Supreme Court’s decision on Priya Kapur’s plea could shape the next chapter of this high-profile legal dispute.

Donald Trump’s Tariff A Self-Goal? Indian Exports Register Staggering Numbers, Dead Economy Jibe Stares US President Hard

Indian Exports

Indian Exports: The merchandise exports of India surged 1.9 percent from $37.8 billion a year earlier to $38.51 billion in December 2025 despite hefty tariffs by USA and defying global headwinds.

The surge in exports was chiefly driven by double-digit export growth in key markets like China and the UAE.

Indian Exports-Growing Numbers

Commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal said the merchandise exports in December grew by 1.86 percent despite global turmoil from $37.8 billion to $38.51 billion.

Interestingly, shipments to the United States rose approximately 10 percent year-on-year to $65.88 billion in April-December 2025 from $60.03 billion in the corresponding year a year before. Agrawal noted that exports to the United States grew on-year in the first 9 months of the fiscal year. Agrawal added that India would cross $850 billion of exports in the present financial year.

SC Ralhan, the President of Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), remarked that India’s performance was encouraging given the global trade flow volatilities. Ralhan added that the surge in exports reflects the effectiveness of NDA-led government initiatives that are focused to support MSME exporters and boost exports.

The FIEO President added that the country’s exports performance assumes significance against the backdrop of ongoing supply chain realignments, geo-political tensions, rising protectionism and inflationary pressures across major economies.

‘MNS Ko Roast Kar Diya…’ Netizens React As Aamir Khan Speaks In Marathi, Says It’s Maharashtra Before Repeating In Hindi

Aamir Khan Sparks Language Debate While Voting

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan grabbed attention on Thursday during the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) civic elections in Mumbai. While he stepped out to cast his vote, a brief exchange with the media soon sparked fresh discussion around the Marathi versus Hindi language debate in Maharashtra.

After voting, Aamir spoke to photographers outside the polling booth. He encouraged people to come out and vote and praised the arrangements made for citizens.

Aamir Khan Sparks Language Row As He Steps Out For Voting

The Sitaare Zameen Par actor first shared his message in Marathi. However, when some media members asked him to repeat it in Hindi, his reaction quickly became a talking point. Aamir Khan smiled and said, “Hindi mein? yeh Maharashtra hai, bhai.” His remark immediately drew attention, especially given the long-running language debate in the state.

When the media pointed out that his message would also be broadcast in Delhi, Aamir repeated his appeal in Hindi. He said, “Yahan par Nagar Nigam ne bahut achha intezaam kiya hai. Main sabse kahunga ki aap aaiye aur apna keemti vote zaroor daaliye. BMC ne bahut achhe intezaam kiye hain. Saari cheezon ka intezaam kiya gaya hai. To aaiye, please vote kijiye.”

Soon after, the clip went viral across social media platforms. Netizens shared mixed reactions, with many reading Aamir’s initial response as a subtle dig at the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), which is known for its strong stand on Marathi identity. While some supported him, others felt the moment was unnecessary.

Read some user comments below:

“MNS ko roast kar diya ek line me hi.”

“He is such a drama queen.”

“Har koi mns ko p*l raha he.”

“So he came up with this now, bro never forget his maksad.”

“Sacrcasm to Thakre brothers.”

“Unpadh logo ko sarcasm “vyang” smjh nhi ata.”

The reaction once again shows how sensitive language issues remain in Maharashtra. Last year, the Hindi versus Marathi debate intensified after the state government proposed introducing Hindi as a third language in primary schools. The move faced strong opposition from political parties and language groups. Although the BJP-led Maharashtra government later withdrew the proposal, the debate continued on social media.

Aamir Khan’s short comment has now added new fuel to this ongoing discussion.

Aamir’s Work Front

On the professional front, Aamir Khan is awaiting the audience response to his latest production, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. Directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shashtri, the film stars Vir Das, along with Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi and Srushti Tawade. The project also features cameo appearances by Aamir Khan and Imran Khan. The film was released in theatres on January 16.

Iran Protests: Airspace Opened, 800 Executions Stalled, Has Ayatollah Khamenei Accepted Donald Trump’s Supremacy? Check Latest Updates

Iran Protests

Iran Protests: Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei regime has halted the executions of 800 protestors under White House pressure. United States President Donald Trump made this claim after pulling off from military action against the deadly crackdown of Tehran on demonstrations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has reopened its airspace after a closure of approximately five hours. According to a notice on the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration website, the Iranian airspace was closed to all except international flights to and from Iran with official permission on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. ET (2215 GMT).

According to tracking service Flightradar24, the airspace closure notice was removed before 10 p.m. ET, or 0300 GMT. Five flights from Iranian carriers Yazd Airways, Mahan Air and AVA Airlines were among the few firsts to resume flight operations over the country.

Iran Protests-Latest Updates

Nationwide protests in Iran have come to a standstill after many remarked that Donald Trump betrayed Iranian protestors. Earlier, the foreign minister of Iran remarked he had “no plan” to hang Iranian protestors. Rights Organization Hengaw said the hanging of Erfan Soltani was postponed.

United States-All Options Still on Table

Mike Waltz, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, remarked all options are still very much on the table for USA for stopping the slaughter. Waltz added that Trump unlike previous US Presidents don’t just talk but believes in strong action.

In reply, Hossein Darzi, the deputy Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, remarked the United States tries portraying itself as a true friend of the Iranian people but it only wants destabilization of the Iranian regime.

Top officials from Oman, Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia raised serious concerns with Trump that any kind of military intervention by the United States in Iran would shake the global and regional economies while destabilizing the already volatile region.

Mamta Banerjee: Is it the Beginning Of The End of WB CM’s Reign, Will SC Indictment Play Spoilsport in Assembly Election for TMC?

Mamta-Banerjee
Google

Mamta Banerjee News: Mamta Banerjee’s long political dominance in West Bengal raises the question of whether upcoming elections and renewed legal-political challenges pose the biggest threat to her leadership.

Supreme Court Scrutiny Raises Questions

The Supreme Court has taken up a case related to an ED raid linked to TMC’s election strategy, issuing notices to the Chief Minister and senior officials and calling the matter serious, putting the state government under scrutiny even as the verdict is awaited.

TMC vs Opposition: A War of Stories

The Trinamool Congress labeled the legal measures as politically driven, blaming the Centre for using law enforcement agencies to target regional parties ahead of the polls. Mamata Banerjee has taken a stance as an upholder of democracy and federalism. Conversely, the opposition has taken the court’s remarks as an indication that power is being misused, thereby linking the matter to questions about governance and the need for accountability.

Will This Impact the Assembly Elections?

The timing of the Supreme Court scrutiny is crucial, coming just months before the Assembly elections. While legal issues alone may not decide electoral outcomes, they can influence voter perception, especially among undecided voters.

Is Mamta Banerjee’s Political Hold Weakening?

Despite the controversy, Mamta Banerjee continues to command strong support across West Bengal. TMC’s organizational strength, welfare schemes, and its personal connection with voters remain key advantages. Until the legal process leads to concrete consequences, her political position remains intact.

Risks TMC Cannot Ignore

Legal battles could, over and over again, take a toll on the TMC’s reputation and give the opposition a stronger position. Moreover, the media’s attention to the legal aspects could obscure the government’s accomplishments, necessitating narrative management for the ruling party in the coming months.

Mumbai Civic Body Election Results 2026: 3 Decades of Thackeray Baadshahat to Come to an End ? Exit Polls Predict Doomsday for UBT in BMC Polls, What Next

Mumbai-Civic-Body-Election-Results-2026

Mumbai Civic Body Election Results 2026: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections of 2026 have sparked speculation about the possible decline of the Thackeray family from being the dominant force in Mumbai’s civic leadership for the last several decades. Exit poll predictions indicate that there is likely going to be a change of power towards the BJP-dominated coalition and that they will reshape the political environment within the richest civic body in India.

Large Voter Turnout Despite Controversy

Voting in Mumbai took place relatively well after nine years, with almost a 50% turnout, but there are still some problems with missing names and late booth changes, which created such problems for many people. Even though these problems caused many to criticise the process, voting did function relatively well overall.

Exit Polls Signal a Political Shift

Multiple exit polls, including those conducted by Axis and Saam TV, show that the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) has an overwhelming edge when compared to the Shiv Sena (UBT)-MNS alliance currently represented by Uddhav and Raj Thackeray. Estimates show that the current ruling party Mahayuti is projected to win between 120 and 120+ seats out of the total number of seats (227) on the municipal corporation board. The Shiv Sena (UBT)-MNS alliance, however, is expected to come in a distant third with a significantly lower number of seats, effectively removing them from dominating the BMC after nearly 3 decades of being established as its primary party.

Concerns Raised by Thackeray Leaders

Mumbai Civic Body Election Results 2026: When Uddhav and Raj Thackeray publicly questioned the way the elections were conducted, many of the claims they made were related to the procedures used to conduct the elections according to the rules and regulations regarding the indelible ink on voters’ fingers, and they expressed concerns that irregularities could affect the overall fairness of the election. Election officials have rejected all of the claims that were submitted as being unfounded.

The final results of the election are expected to be completed soon, and if the exit poll predictions accurately come to fruition, many political analysts believe a majority of BJP members may lead to a new direction in the civic governance of the city of Mumbai and a change in the way resources are prioritised for the needs of the city and its residents. Additionally, it is possible that, if the exit polls are accurate, the political landscape of Mumbai may undergo a significant transformation after almost three decades of domination by the Thackeray family.

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh landed in controversy after a remark he made at a recent Delhi concert triggered strong backlash on social media. A short clip from the event went viral, with many users calling his language vulgar and inappropriate. Soon after, the singer issued a public apology and tried to clarify his intent.

The incident happened during a concert by independent artists Nanku and Karun, where Honey Singh was present as a guest. Videos from the show surfaced on platforms such as Reddit and X and quickly spread online. Several users accused the rapper of using crude language and sending the wrong message to young audiences.

Yo Yo Honey Singh Apologises For Vulgar Remarks At Delhi Concert

As the criticism grew, Yo Yo Honey Singh addressed the issue through a video message shared on his Instagram account on Thursday. In the video, he explained the background of his remark and apologised to those who felt offended.

The rapper said that he had recently spoken to gynaecologists and sexologists, who informed him about the increasing number of young people suffering from sexually transmitted diseases. According to Honey Singh, this conversation influenced him to speak about safe sex during the concert, which had a largely Gen Z crowd.

He said, “When I went on the show, I saw the Gen Z audience and thought I’d give them a message in their language – to not have unprotected sex and use condoms. I thought I’d speak in the language they will understand better, the way they watch OTT content and movies.”

However, Honey Singh admitted that his choice of words did not go down well with many people. He accepted that the message was misunderstood and ended up hurting sentiments.

He said, “Lekin woh bhasha kaiyon ko bahut buri lagi. Main aap sab se maafi maangta hoon jinko meri who bhasha buri lagi. Mera kisiko thes pahuchane ka koi maqsad nahi tha. Insaan ek galtiyon ka putla hai.”

The rapper further assured fans that he would be more careful in the future. He added, “Main koshish karunga aaj k baad aisi galti dobara na ho. Main apni zubaan pe niyantran rakhunga jab main koi baat bolunga aur kisko bolunga, kis tarah bolunga.”

Yo Yo Honey Singh also claimed that the viral clip was edited and shared without proper context, which added to the outrage. He ended his video with another apology, saying, “Aap sabse maafi. Aapka apna Yo Yo Honey Singh, isi tarah pyaar dete rahiye.”

Sharing the clip online, he wrote, “Bhool chuk maaf. My apology.”

How Netizens Reacted

Despite the apology, reactions online remained mixed. Some users felt his message was poorly delivered, while others questioned the logic behind his explanation. Read some user comments on the video below:

“Message Dene Ka Trika Thoda Casual Tha.”

“Lekin sir wo car me karne ki baat hui thi wo bhi sex education me aata hai kya.”

“Ai hi bol dete.”

“Abb ispe hi song bna do.”

“Paaji thoda slow slow ho jata he flow flow me.”

The controversy began after a clip from the Delhi concert showed Honey Singh saying, “B*d Dilli ki thand! Isme na gaadi mein **** mein bada maza aata hai, itni thand mein. Gaadi mein sex karo, Dilli ki thand mein. Use condoms, guys, please. Play safe!”

The remarks were widely criticised online, with many users calling them “vulgar” and “cheap,” especially given the young audience present at the show.

Bhagwant Mann Reaffirms Respect for Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Says He Never Challenged Its Supremacy

CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has firmly reiterated that he has never challenged the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, emphasizing his deep respect and humility toward the highest temporal seat of Sikhism.

Bhagwant Mann Reaffirms Respect for Sri Akal Takht Sahib

In a statement shared by AAP Punjab, the Chief Minister said he neither has the stature nor the intention to challenge Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Mann underlined that he has always bowed before Sikh religious institutions with reverence and faith.

“I can never challenge the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. I do not have the standing to do so,” the Chief Minister said, dismissing any claims suggesting otherwise.

“We Are People Who Bow Our Heads in Reverence”

Bhagwant Mann further stated that his faith is rooted in humility, adding that Sikhs bow their heads even before the Nishan Sahib installed at roadside gurdwaras.

“We are people who bow our heads in reverence even before the Nishan Sahib at gurdwaras by the roadside,” he said, highlighting the Sikh tradition of respect toward religious symbols and institutions.

Countering Misinformation

The statement comes amid ongoing political and social discussions surrounding the Chief Minister’s recent appearance before Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Mann’s remarks are being seen as an attempt to counter misinformation and misinterpretation circulating on social media regarding his intentions and actions.

Respect for Sikh Institutions

Observers note that Sri Akal Takht Sahib holds unparalleled significance in Sikh religious and temporal matters, and any perceived challenge to its authority often triggers strong reactions. By reiterating his position, Mann has sought to reaffirm his commitment to Sikh values, maryada, and religious institutions.

The clarification has resonated across Punjab’s political and social circles, with supporters viewing it as a reaffirmation of humility and respect, while the broader debate continues over the role of faith and politics in public life.

BJP-Shinde Sena Alliance Likely to Win BMC Elections, Civic Body Exit Polls Predict Major Shift in Mumbai Politics

Bihar Election Results 2025
Google

Mumbai Civic Body Exit Poll: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, are projected to register a decisive victory in the elections to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), according to four exit polls released after voting concluded. If the predictions hold true, the results could mark a significant political shift in Mumbai’s civic governance.

Mumbai Civic Body Exit Poll

Exit polls suggest that while the reunited Thackeray brothers—Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray—have managed to consolidate Maratha and Muslim votes, the north and south Indian voter base has reportedly voted overwhelmingly in favour of the BJP-led alliance. The surveys also indicate strong support for the BJP among women and young voters, a trend observed in several recent elections.

BJP Poised to Fill Political Vacuum

The BMC, considered Asia’s richest municipal body, has a budget comparable to that of a small Indian state and holds immense political and administrative importance. The civic body was last elected in 2017, when the then-united Shiv Sena retained control, continuing its decades-long dominance over Mumbai’s municipal administration.

However, nearly eight years later, and following the split in the Shiv Sena, exit polls point towards a possible end of the Thackeray-led dominance over the civic body. Analysts say the political division within the Sena may have created a vacuum that the BJP and the Shinde faction appear to have capitalised on.

Thackeray Reunion Under Scrutiny

The reunion of Uddhav and Raj Thackeray after nearly 20 years was widely seen as a strategic move to reclaim the legacy of the undivided Shiv Sena and the political heritage of Bal Thackeray. However, if exit poll projections are accurate, the alliance may have failed to translate symbolism into electoral success at the civic level.

Political observers note that despite emotional appeal and selective vote consolidation, the broader voter base may have favoured governance continuity and political stability offered by the BJP-led alliance.

Caution Over Exit Poll Predictions

Experts have cautioned that exit polls are not always accurate and final outcomes will only be confirmed once official results are declared. Nonetheless, the projections have already sparked intense political debate, given the high stakes involved in controlling Mumbai’s civic administration.

If confirmed, the result would represent a major realignment in Maharashtra’s urban politics, with long-term implications for both state and national political equations.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann appears before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as humble Sikh

CM Mann

Walking barefoot while reciting prayers, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday bowed before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as humble Sikh, devoting the entire day to the supreme temporal seat of the Sikhs. Appearing before the Jathedar Sahib at the Akal Takht Secretariat, the Chief Minister offered a detailed clarification on his earlier statements, reiterating that he stands as a humble Sikh with complete faith in the authority of the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, accepts every decision taken by it, and has no question whatsoever of challenging or undermining its supremacy.

Interacting with the media after his appearance at the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said he had personally come in compliance with the directions of the Jathedar Sahib. “As per the orders of the Jathedar Sahib, I appeared here as a humble Sikh and submitted my explanation in response to the queries raised. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the supreme authority for the entire Sikh community, and it is supreme for me as well,” he said, adding that the Jathedar Sahib had recorded his statement and that further action would be taken after consultations with the Singh Sahibans.

Reaffirming his complete respect for every decision of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Chief Minister said, “I will abide by every decision of the Jathedar Sahib. My appearance here has given me immense contentment, inner peace and satisfaction.”

He categorically rejected the narrative being created by inimical forces about any alleged tussle between Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the Punjab government, calling it “totally false.” “There is no question of challenging or weakening the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, which is supreme for all the Sikhs. The domain of my government is crystal clear, to work for the progress of Punjab and the prosperity of its people,” he said.

Declaring himself as Punjab’s sewadar, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said he would leave no stone unturned for the well-being of Punjab and Punjabis. “I perform ardas daily for the chardi kala of the state. My head bows before every religious place even at a single glance. It is impossible that any action of mine can be against the state or its people,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that as an advocate of the sentiments of millions of people, he had submitted 25,000 to 30,000 pages of complaints, to the Jathedar Sahib. “These complaints reflect the emotions of people who have flagged various anomalies in the functioning of the SGPC. I have humbly requested the Jathedar Sahib to get these complaints investigated, as the feelings of millions are attached to them. Institutions are always supreme while individuals heading them can err, Such individuals deserve no leniency for their misdeeds,” he added.

The Chief Minister asserted, “Every order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is acceptable to me. It is the highest temporal body of the Sikhs, and my family and I abide by it fully,” he said, expressing gratitude to the Jathedar Sahib for presenting him with two important books related to the Sikh Rehat Maryada and the Gurdwara Act.

On the constitution of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), CM Bhagwant Singh Mann clarified that it was not a political move. “The SIT has been constituted solely to trace the missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Its mandate is strictly confined to tracing them so that they are not misused,” he said. He added that he had also sought the intervention of the Jathedar Sahib to direct the SGPC to provide the unique codes assigned to each saroop published by it, to facilitate tracing of the missing saroops.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Punjab Police and the state government would trace the saroops and inform Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the SGPC about their location, ensuring further action strictly as per Rehat Maryada. “The police have already been instructed not to enter the premises of religious places where the saroops are traced,” he said, adding that the Jathedar Sahib had informed him that prior to 1998, the printing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib had been carried out at several places.

Bhagwant Mann Govt takes decisive step to introduce Digital Electronic Ticketing Machines to modernise Punjab’s bus services

Continuing its decisive push towards modern, citizen-first governance, the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government has taken another major step to transform public transport by approving the procurement of Digital Electronic Ticketing Machines across state-run bus services. The initiative reflects the government’s clear focus on leveraging technology to make everyday public services more efficient, transparent and convenient for citizens.

The introduction of Digital Electronic Ticketing Machines marks a significant upgrade in the way passengers access bus services in Punjab. With this reform, commuters will be able to purchase tickets using multiple digital payment options, including QR code-based payments, UPI and card-enabled transactions, along with offline modes. The system has been designed to minimise waiting time, reduce dependence on cash and ensure a smoother travel experience for passengers across urban and rural routes alike.

A key feature of the new ticketing system is its focus on passenger convenience and journey planning. The machines will be GPS-enabled, allowing live tracking of buses, visibility of nearby bus stops and real-time information on available services along various routes. The facility to check seat availability and manage journeys more efficiently will further enhance the reliability of state-run bus services.

Importantly, the Bhagwant Mann Government has ensured that its flagship welfare commitments remain fully protected under the new system. Free bus travel for women will continue without interruption, in line with the government’s policy. Women passengers will be issued smart cards to avail free travel seamlessly, reinforcing the government’s emphasis on dignity, safety and ease of mobility for women. Students will also be provided smart cards, which can be recharged online through a mobile application, making daily travel more accessible and affordable for young people.

The smart card ecosystem introduced under this initiative will allow citizens and tourists to travel on Punjab Government-run buses with ease.
