Hyderabad News: BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar has ignited a fresh controversy by accusing government authorities in Hyderabad of failing to protect sacred Hindu sites.

Things started at Hyderabad’s Safilguda temple where idols in a Hindu temple were allegedly vandalized, sparking protests. A few days back, a miscreant entered the Katta Maisamma Temple and committed indecent acts such as excreting. The accused was identified as a Bidar resident named Altaf. He was arrested for unlawfully entering a place of worship and insulting religious beliefs.

Puranapul, a historic temple in the Old City, suffered a similar fate. Miscreants damaged deities and smeared walls with derogatory graffiti On January 13.

Reaction of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi dismissed the rhetoric of Sanjay as “divisive religious politics.” In a Lok Sabha statement and X thread, Owaisi said that isolated incidents should not be politicized to stoke hatred.

Owaisi remarked that Hyderabad Police acted quickly and decisively by making more than 20 arrests in Safilguda case alone. The AIMIM Chief said BJP is exploiting temple desecrations for electoral gains ahead of municipal polls, warning against “Hindu-Muslim polarization.”

Hyderabad Police made a statement that the accused miscreants have been arrested.

In 2025, Telangana reported 15 temple vandalism cases that suggested an increase of 30 percent from 2024.

Rajasthan News: The rapid rollout of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM KUSUM) program is slowly but steadily transforming the rural solar landscape of the country. This is done primarily by facilitating feeder-level, decentralized solar-power projects for agricultural use via artificial intelligence (AI).

The solarization of agricultural pumps in states such as Rajasthan has resulted in a massive surge in the use of robotic module cleaning.

How Will This Rajasthan News Benefit Farmer Incomes?

As solar panels accumulate dust quickly in arid zones, developers and farmers are adopting robotic cleaning systems to maximize output.

Robotic Cleaning Surge

Rajasthan’s PM-KUSUM rollout has spurred the concept of robotic module cleaning in feeder-level projects under Components A and C. These ground-mounted arrays tend to face severe spoiling from farming activity and unpaved roads, causing 5-12 percent generation losses without intervention. This is where artificial intelligence (AI) steps in.

Robots powered by AI offer waterless, daily cleaning that is approximately 5-8 times cheaper than manual methods that tend to guzzle 7-12 tons of water per MW per cycle.

PM-KUSUM Framework

The scheme provides up to 30 percent central aid, which is presently capped at ₹10.5 million per MW, enabling farmers to install solar plants on barren land and sell power to DISCOMs. The semi-arid belts of Rajasthan amplify dust challenges. However, erratic labour and water scarcity can be challenges and this is where automation comes into the picture. According to industry experts, most projects over 1 MW will standardize robots within five years for 25-year viability.

Income Boost Potential

Robotic systems slash operational and management costs – 30-40 percent of which is cleaning – by 20 percent long-term while lifting energy yield 5 percent annually. This could easily translate to stable revenue from power sales, diversified income via solar leases and reduced diesel dependence.

The proposed industrial city will be developed over 395 hectares of land in the airport’s vicinity.

According to YEIDA officials, the project aims to create a dedicated industrial ecosystem tailored to the needs of Japanese companies, strengthening economic ties between India and Japan while boosting industrial growth in western Uttar Pradesh.

Key Meeting With Japanese Entrepreneurs on January 16

To advance the proposal, a YEIDA delegation will hold a crucial meeting with Japanese entrepreneurs in Delhi on January 16. The meeting will be organised in coordination with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a government-related body that promotes trade and investment between Japan and other countries.

During the meeting, representatives of Japanese companies will be invited to share their suggestions, expectations, and requirements for the development of the proposed Japanese Industrial City.

“The inputs received from Japanese investors will be used to shape the project and align it with their expectations,” said Shailendra Bhatia, Additional CEO, YEIDA. He added that the authority is keen to develop an ecosystem that matches global standards and supports long-term industrial operations.

Focus on Land Use and Industrial Ecosystem

Officials said the discussions will focus on land-use planning, infrastructure needs, and facilities required by Japanese firms, including logistics, utilities, and industrial support services. Japanese entrepreneurs will also be asked about their preferences regarding the size and nature of industrial plots.

YEIDA is also exploring whether the proposed Japanese City should be purely industrial or include mixed land use, combining industrial, residential, and support infrastructure.

“If companies express the need for housing and other support facilities for employees, YEIDA may consider offering mixed land-use sectors as part of the Japanese Industrial City,” an official aware of the development said, requesting anonymity.

Officials revealed that several Japanese companies have already held preliminary discussions with YEIDA, indicating strong interest in setting up operations near the Noida International Airport. The January 16 meeting is expected to be a significant step toward formalising the project and moving it closer to implementation.

“The meeting is likely to play a key role in finalising the roadmap and attracting large Japanese firms to the YEIDA region,” the official added.

The proposed Japanese Industrial City’s proximity to the Noida International Airport, Yamuna Expressway, and major logistics corridors is expected to offer significant advantages in terms of connectivity, exports, and supply chain efficiency. In a recent Instagram video, AIIMS doctor Priyanka Sherawat explained that iron and calcium tablets should never be taken together. The reason is simple but serious. Calcium blocks the absorption of iron in the body.

According to her explanation, if someone takes an iron tablet containing 100 milligrams of elemental iron along with a calcium tablet, nearly 70 to 80 percent of that iron may not get absorbed into the bloodstream. This means the supplement you are taking for your health may not work at all.

Instead of helping with low haemoglobin levels, the iron passes through the body without being used. This is especially risky for people who are already iron-deficient, pregnant women, or those advised to take iron supplements by doctors.

She also advised that iron supplements work best when taken with vitamin C. Vitamin C helps improve iron absorption and allows the mineral to enter the bloodstream more effectively. Simple options include taking iron with a vitamin C tablet, lemonade, orange juice, or foods naturally rich in vitamin C.

What Research And Health Experts Say

This advice is not new to medical science. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), calcium is known to interfere with both haem and non-haem iron absorption. The World Health Organisation has also stated that iron supplements should ideally be taken separately from calcium-rich foods or supplements.

Health experts recommend maintaining a gap of at least two to three hours between iron and calcium intake. This gives your body enough time to absorb iron without interference.

For example, you can take iron supplements in the morning with citrus juice and calcium later in the day, preferably after meals. This simple change can make a big difference in improving iron levels naturally.

Jharkhand News: The Jharkhand High Court has dismissed the petition of Chief Minister Hemant Soren against an order of the MP-MLA Court.

The MP-MLA Court in Ranchi had taken cognizance of a complaint filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that Soren had failed to comply with the issued summons asking him to appear personally before the central investigative agency in the money laundering case.

Jharkhand News-Soren’s Action

CM Soren had filed a petition against order of the MP-MLA Court in the Jharkhand High Court. The order asked Soren to make a personal appearance before it on December 4 in connection with a case by ED related to disobeying as many as eight summons. The petition was rejected by the Special MP MLA Court on November 25 last year. Soren was then asked to appear on December 4 before the Court.

Soren now has to either challenge the petition dismissal in the Supreme Court or face the MP-MLA Court.

Another ED Confrontation

After West Bengal, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has entered into a fresh confrontation with the Jharkhand state police.

Amid the ongoing water supply scam investigation, a team of Ranchi police reached the office of ED with a large contingent of officers. The police are probing allegations made by a scam accused of brutal assault by ED officials.

A resident of Ranchi, Santosh Kumar alleged that ED Assistant Director (II) Prateek and his assistant Shubham assaulted him. Santosh alleged that his skull was fractured and evidence was destroyed after he was summoned to the ED office. Santosh was taken to the Sadar Hospital where six stitches were administered to his head. The scam accused that ED officials threatened him at the hospital and replaced his blood-stained T-shirt. Santosh added he was forced to sign the incident report without even reading it. He went on to claim that ED officials threatened to send his children and wife to jail if anyone was informed.

CM Yogi Adityanath Video: In an interesting video shared on social media platforms, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is seen playfully talking with a young child.

On his visit to the Gorakhnath Temple, Yogi Adityanath was seen meeting an innocent child. It was then the UP CM playfully asks the child if he needs anything to which he replies “chips.” This innocent demand made everyone in the premises start laughing.

Social media users had a good laugh on watching the video. One user commented, “Mein hota to chips ki factory maang leta”. Another commented, “maanga bhi to bas chips, hawai jahaz maang leta.”

Yogi Presents Khichdi To All

In another development, the UP CM marketing the occasion of Makar Sankranti offered khichdi in Gorakhpur at the Gorakhnath Temple.

Gorakshapitheshwar Yogi Adityanath made an entry to the sanctum sanctorum at around 4 am. Following the Nath tradition, CM Yogi Adityanath performed all special rituals and worship things in honour of the revered Guru Gorakhnath. The UP CM blew the traditional whistle that was seen hanging around his neck before bowing in reverence.

Once the rituals were completed, khichdi was offered to Guru Gorakhnath. This included the sacred offering sent by the Royal Family of Nepal.

Lakhs of devotees from all parts of the country and Nepal thronged the famous Gorakhnath Temple. By 8 am, more than 3 lakh devotees were served khichdi.

Mamata Banerjee: The Supreme Court (SC) of India has issued a notice to Mamata Banerjee, the sitting Chief Minister of West Bengal, and the Deputy General of Police (DGP), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Commissioner of Police on a complaint by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Court also stayed the FIR filed against ED officials by the West Bengal Police who had entered the premises of I-PAC, the agency that regulates the political activities and records of Trinamool Congress (TMC). The bench noted that the ED officials were acting in good faith as they were armed with an authorization letter. The Court asked the respondents to preserve CCTV cameras and other storage devices that contained the footage of the raided premises on January 8.

The bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Vipul Pancholi would now hear the matter on February 2. The bench was hearing the matter in the context of a petition filed by the ED under Constitution’s Article 32.

Mamata Banerjee-ED Tussle: The Turn Of Events

ED raided office of I-PAC, which is the election consultant of the All India Trinamool Congress last week in connection with the coal scam money laundering investigation. During the ED operation, Mamata Banerjee allegedly entered the premises along with police officials and senior party leaders. She confronted officials from the ED and took away some files in a “green cover.”

It was claimed by the ED that the presence of the sitting CM of West Bengal and the alleged removal of possible evidence compromised the ability of the agency while having an intimidating effect on ED officers, hurting ED’s ability to legally discharge its independent statutory functions. The ED went on to claim that Mamata Banerjee is a habitual offender when it comes to obstructing investigations by central government agencies.

West Bengal CM’s Argument

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee claimed that the raid of ED was political in nature. She also said that the raid was nothing but a mere attempt by ED on the directions of the ruling NDA in Centre to access confidential political information of TMC.

Many in the political circles believe that pictures of sitting CM forcibly taking away possible evidence may hurt the TMC in the upcoming state elections.
