The viral video is of a roadside golgappa (pani puri) cart in the Holy city of Amritsar. The video left social media users in complete shock and many were divided between disbelief, outrage and disgust.

The caption, which accompanied the video “Rat in pani puri”. The social media vlogger remarked he made a request to the golgappa cart vendor to immediately discard the contaminated mix that was then thrown away.

The now-viral video has generated lakhs of views on social media with a significant majority of social media users talking about the unhygienic conditions under which roadside food is served in India.

A social media user commented, “The way he casually cleans after it”. 8th Pay Commission: The Union Government is all likely to take the final decision on the announcement of Dearness Allowance (DA) for pensioners and central government employees. It is believed that the announcement is likely to come before the Holi festival on March 4, 2026.

Dearness Allowance is revised twice every year and it is primarily calculated by the Union Government for a period of six months. The revision that covers the months from January to June is traditionally announced in the month of March while the second revision covering the months from July to December is traditionally declared around Dussehra or Diwali.

Last year, the Union Government approved a DA hike of 3 percent, taking the total dearness allowance to 58 percent.

The 8th Pay Commission constitutes wage revisions for pensioners and central government employees. But, the 8th CPC recommendations are likely to take at least 2 years before they get implemented. Till that time, the 7th CPC provisions would continue.

Beware Of Online Scams

The Union Government has issued a stern warning against a series of 8th CPC online scams related to salary calculators. Earlier too, the Union Government had warned central government employees and pensioners against any form of engagement with those types of misleading and fraudulent links.

The government advisory came in the wake of media reports that cybercriminals are trying to exploit public interest in the 8th Pay Commission to gain access to critical information via fake websites and phishing campaigns.

Notably, the film has also surpassed Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon (Rs 39.80 crore lifetime). The next target is Kaminey, which earned about Rs 41 crore net in India. At the current pace, O Romeo is expected to cross that mark soon.

Kapoor and Bhardwaj share a successful creative partnership. They previously worked together on Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. Among these, Haider remains critically acclaimed, while Kaminey enjoys cult status.

About The Film

O Romeo is inspired by true events from S. Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The story follows Afsha (Triptii Dimri), a widow seeking revenge for her husband’s murder. She joins forces with Ustara (Shahid Kapoor), an eccentric yet deadly hitman.

The ensemble cast includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary and Farida Jalal. Special appearances by Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani add to the film’s appeal. Salim Khan Health Update: Concern spread quickly across Bollywood after news broke about Salman Khan‘s father Salim Khan’s hospitalisation. The veteran screenwriter (aged 90) was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning after his health reportedly worsened. Doctors later confirmed that he underwent surgery following a haemorrhage.

According to reports, Salim Khan is currently on ventilator support. However, medical sources said his condition remains stable despite being critical. The news prompted an outpouring of support from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across the industry.

Salim Khan Health Update: Surgery And Current Condition

Doctors treating Salim Khan shared an official update. Dr Jalil Parkar addressed the media and said, “He has undergone surgery and is now kept on a ventilator. His condition is stable now. At 11 am on Wednesday, we will issue a press bulletin with the consent of the family and relatives.”

He further clarified, “He is stable but under close observation with regard to his clinical status.”

Naturally, the word “critical” raised concern. Still, the emphasis on stability offered some reassurance. Hospital authorities are expected to release a detailed medical bulletin after consulting with the family.

Soon after the news emerged, Salim Khan’s family reached the Bandra-based hospital. Salman Khan was spotted leaving the facility after visiting his father. He appeared visibly worried. Praying for his strength and recovery.”
