Vijay officially launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), in 2024. He also announced that his upcoming film Jana Nayagan would be his last cinematic project as he focuses entirely on politics.

The Puducherry incident brought back memories of the Karur rally in September 2025, where overcrowding caused a stampede, leading to 41 deaths and around 100 injuries. Victims included nine children, 18 women, and 14 men, with the youngest only two years old. The rally had between 27,000 and 50,000 attendees in a venue built for only 10,000, and a nearly seven-hour delay in Vijay’s arrival worsened the situation.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues to probe the Karur tragedy. Vijay has alleged it was part of a “joint machination” or conspiracy against his political ambitions. The Tamil Nadu government provided Rs 10 lakh to each bereaved family, and Vijay announced an additional Rs 20 lakh per family.

While she was grooving to her songs, the show turned chaotic when a male fan suddenly jumped on stage, leaving her shocked. Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion.

Sunanda Sharma Fears As Fan Jumps On Stage During Concert

Sunanda, dressed in a white T-shirt and baggy jeans, was startled as the fan tried to touch her feet while posing in front of the audience. She screamed in fear and immediately walked off the stage. Security personnel and police quickly intervened, escorting the fan out of the venue.

The Ghaziabad Police have since taken the accused into custody and started questioning him. Reports suggest that he is a student of the same college where the concert took place.

Despite repeated pleas from the audience, Sunanda’s team decided to cancel the rest of the performance, leaving fans disappointed as many walked out.

This is not the first time Sunanda Sharma made headlines during a live event. Last year, during a concert in Mohali, she invited a fan on stage and hugged him after he expressed his admiration. Sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote, “Jo pyaar karde ne, oh te gale milan de haqdaar ne. Thank you for sending me this video. This ambitious plan goes beyond Ayushman Bharat by removing eligibility barriers and doubling the coverage limit. The plan covers 2,356 medical procedures, including important ones like cardiology and oncology. It has about 900 hospitals in Punjab and Chandigarh that are part of it. So far, almost 25 lakh families have signed up, and more than 1.6 lakh beneficiaries have already been treated.

Aam Aadmi Clinics: Changing the Way We Get Primary Care

The success of Aam Aadmi Clinics is a key part of this change. These centres offer free medicines, tests, and consultations, and there are now 883 of them open, and more are being added. They have treated 1.69 crore patients and had over 5 crore OPD visits. With a 94% satisfaction rate, they are the gold standard for primary healthcare in India.

Scaling Up the Dairy Engine

Mohan Yadav: The numbers behind this strategy are quite aggressive. In a fresh partnership with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the state wants to nearly double its daily milk collection, jumping from 10.5 lakh kg to a massive 20 lakh kg. To get there, they are planning to expand dairy cooperatives to cover 18,000 villages.

To keep farmers motivated, the government has introduced a ₹5 per litre bonus on milk and boosted the daily subsidy for cattle in shelters to ₹40 per cow. With ₹100 crore earmarked specifically for the Vrindavan scheme and another ₹100 crore for dairy infrastructure, the state is putting serious money behind its goal of becoming India’s “dairy capital.”
