Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed strong concern about the deletion of 54 lakh voter names from the electoral rolls. She said at Nabanna, “Even killers get a hearing, yet these voters were removed unilaterally.” This remark indicates her displeasure with the lack of transparency and the pro-voter ruling.

Who Are the Affected Voters?

The voters mentioned are said to be part of the Election Commission’s absentee-shifted-dead (ASD) list. Mamata Banerjee mentioned that the names of many suppressed voters, among whom were

  • Married women whose surnames changed after marriage
  • People who have moved within the state

Allegations Against the Election Commission

Mamata Banerjee accused the Election Commission (EC) of arbitrarily deleting records, allegedly using AI systems and in the presence of BJP officials. She claimed that:

  • Certain groups, especially married women, were disproportionately affected
  • Some voters were labeled “anti-national” despite providing valid documents like Aadhaar, PAN, birth certificates, and domicile proofs
  • Micro-observers were appointed exclusively in West Bengal, a practice not used in other states.

Voter Manipulation Concerns

Mamata Banerjee cautioned about the risk of voter manipulation ahead of the elections. She accused the BJP of:

  • Transporting voters from the surrounding states of Odisha, Bihar, and Jharkhand
  • Removing legitimate voters from the West Bengal voters list,

Call for Transparency and Accountability

The Chief Minister stressed the need for full transparency in the deletion process. She highlighted that citizens have the right to:

  • Know if their names were deleted
  • Rectify errors using Form 6 or Form 8

Impact on Democracy

Mamata Banerjee: The accusations leveled by Mamata Banerjee underscore the importance of voting rights and electoral legitimacy. It is essential that the authorities allow eligible citizens to verify their names on the voter list as one of the ways to do so. The situation necessitates immediate measures by the Election Commission to clarify issues, take responsibility for actions, and correct errors to protect democratic rights.

Upendra Dwivedi: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi remarked that Pakistan has been told clearly to rein in its drone activities after multiple aerial intrusions were noticed by India.

Dwivedi added that India is looking at the creation of a rocket-cum-missile force to boost the efficiency of its combat capabilities with state-of-the-art weapons that can hit targets at different ranges.

Briefing ahead of the 78th Army Day on January 15, Dwivedi remarked the faster India organizes complementing rockets and missiles, the better it will be for the efficiency of our combat capabilities.

Upendra Dwivedi-New Force

The Army Chief said the new force may be built around a series of weapons including long-range Pinaka rockets with a range of 120 kilometres, some rockets with ranges of 150-400 kilometres, BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, Pralay missiles and other weapon systems.

On Tuesday, the Indian director general of military operations had a word with his Pakistani counterpart in the context of unacceptable drone intrusions. Hours after his comments, a few drones were noticed in Jammu that triggered fire by Indian Army. On Monday night, a suspected drone from Pakistan was also noticed in Jaisalmer.

Dwivedi remarked that Pakistan generally fears that the army of India may take some action between January 15 (Army Day) and January 26 (Republic Day).

New Army Structures

The Army Chief also remarked that the Indian Army has created and re-oriented new structures. It now has Bhairav battalions for agility and disruptive effect, Rudra brigades for high-tempo multi-domain ops and Shaktibaan regiments and Divyastra batteries of artillery will leverage UAS/C-UAS (unmanned aerial systems/counter-UAS) for real-time targeting and extended reach. Dwivedi also remarked that Ashni platoons and other organizations on the design board will enhance surveillance, precision and strike options at the tactical level.

Dwivedi added 31 government sanction letters were approved in the last 15 months by the Union Government to bring a series of organizational changes in the Indian Army, including the raising of aviation brigades and integrated battle groups.

A confrontation between Donald Trump & a heckler during a public event leads to renewed scrutiny over Trump’s decorum and behaviour towards hecklers, and serves as an example of Trump’s aggressive confrontational style of campaigning as a candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Video Goes Viral on Social Media

A video posted to social media shows what appears to be Trump raising his middle finger towards a heckler during his address. While addressing his supporters at a campaign-style event, Trump became visibly agitated due to the heckler’s accusations of him being a “pedophile protector.” Many people who have viewed this footage interpreted Trump’s actions as an inappropriate display of aggression towards the heckler, leading to mixed responses to the video from all sides of the political spectrum.

In just a few hours, millions of people viewed a video on platforms like X and TikTok that became viral. Supporters of Trump said that the hand gesture made by Trump was either interpreted incorrectly or was warranted due to provocation.

Politics and Public Response

According to one political analyst, the event demonstrates Trump’s combative style towards criticism that he has used for a long time. Some of Trump’s Republican friends chose not to comment on the event, while some of Trump’s opponents suggested that it exemplified Trump’s temperament.

Public Opinion

While controversies have in the past created a very strong relationship between Trump and his core supporters, experts believe that repeated instances of viral events could potentially have a huge impact on whether undecided voters will support Trump. As the media covers Trump’s actions and behaviour, the coverage of these types of incidents will contribute to the overall media narrative surrounding Trump’s candidacy and behaviour.

Delhi Pollution: Temperature Dips, Air Turns Hazardous, Residents Wake Up to a Blanket of Poisonous Smog

Delhi Pollution
Google

Delhi Pollution: The air in Delhi turned hazardous as the temperature dropped, and citizens found themselves waking up to a blanket of toxic smog. The pollution levels in the city touched a new peak, and health hazards continue to surround children, senior citizens, and people suffering from respiratory diseases. The air quality in Delhi dropped to the ‘severe’ level, and citizens were advised to avoid stepping out.

Why Falling Temperatures Exacerbate Air Pollution

Delhi Pollution: According to meteorological analysts, a decrease in temperature leads to less air motion, with pollutants being entrapped near the ground. The absence of wind movements along with a high level of moisture leads to a conducive environment for the production of smog. Thus, automotive exhausts, dust from constructions, as well as stubble residues from nearby areas, become significant contributors with particulates soaring beyond safe ranges.

Present Air Quality in the Delhi Region

According to air quality measurement organisations, levels of PM2.5 and PM10 were several times higher than allowed in many areas of the city. Visibility was reduced substantially during the initial hours of the early morning, and this had an impact on rail and road transport.

Health Impact on Residents

According to medical professionals, prolonged exposure to such polluted air can lead to breathing problems, eye inflammation, headaches, and complications of asthma and cardiovascular diseases. There has also been a rise in patients at hospitals complaining of respiratory problems, pushing health departments to issue notices for the use of masks and air purifiers.

Government Actions and Advisories

In reaction to this challenge, the government has stepped up pollution control measures, such as restricting construction work and advising people about using their vehicles. Schools were advised on air quality updates, while people are requested to follow the GRAP guidelines.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5: Prabhas Starrer SHOCKS With Constant Decline, Hindi Version Earns Less Than Dhurandhar – Check Figures!

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5: Prabhas’ The Raja Saab is losing steam at the box office as it saw another sharp fall in collections on Day 5. Despite a big opening and strong pre-release hype, the film has failed to hold steady. This unexpected drop has surprised both fans and trade analysts. Adding to the concern, the Hindi version is earning even less than Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar, which is already in its sixth week.

The horror comedy, which marked Prabhas’ shift to a lighter and more experimental genre, started on a promising note. However, the early momentum did not last long. Compared to his recent blockbusters Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, The Raja Saab has struggled to connect with audiences.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5

As reported by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 9.15 crore from its premiere shows. On Day 1, it posted a strong Rs 53.75 crore, driven mainly by the Telugu version, which contributed Rs 47 crore. The Hindi version collected Rs 6 crore, while Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added marginal numbers. The drop began soon after. Day 2 collections fell to Rs 26 crore, followed by Rs 19.1 crore on Day 3.

The situation worsened during the weekdays. On Day 4, The Raja Saab managed to collect Rs 6.6 crore. Early estimates for Day 5 suggest earnings of just Rs 4.85 crore nett across all languages in India. With this, the film’s total collection stands at around Rs 119.45 crore. Given the film’s massive scale and expectations, these numbers are being seen as disappointing.

About The Film

Released on January 9, 2026, The Raja Saab tells the story of Raja (Prabhas), a caring grandson who looks after his grandmother Gangamma (Zarina Wahab), an Alzheimer’s patient searching for her missing husband, Kanakaraju (Sanjay Dutt). To fulfil her wish, Raja travels to Hyderabad and comes across a large ancestral mansion haunted by a sinister force. While the concept promised a fun mix of royal drama, horror and comedy, many felt the storytelling lacked focus and emotional depth.

The film features Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani and Brahmanandam. Viewers noted that the female leads did not get enough scope. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 400–450 crore, the film includes India’s largest indoor film set and extensive VFX work. Even so, critics felt the visuals and overall execution did not meet expectations.

Trade experts have already tagged The Raja Saab a “box office disaster”. The weak screenplay, long 183-minute runtime and inconsistent VFX have hurt the film badly. Poor word-of-mouth has further impacted footfalls.

Earlier, Prabhas had expressed strong faith in the project. He said, “The three years of stress and responsibility of Raja Saab brought tears to Maruthi garu’s eyes.” He had also shared that the film was meant to be a complete entertainer. For now, audience interest seems to be fading, and the coming days will be crucial for the film’s box office fate.

Iran Protests: United States President Donald Trump has posted on social media platform Truth that help is on its way for millions of Iranian protestors.

Iran is likely to execute hundreds of protestors. Trump remarked that the United States would take very strong action if Tehran decides to start hanging protestors.

On January 14, Iran is likely to execute Erfan Soltani, a 26-year-old protestor – the first hanging of the anti-Khamenei protesters.

Iran Protest-Tehran Hits Out at USA

Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were labelled “killers” of the Iranian people by Senior Iranian official Ali Larijani.

According to media reports, B-2 bombers and fighter jets were seen getting deployed at a US airbase in Qatar.

In another development, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian assured protestors that officials would pay heed to their legitimate concerns and demands. The Iranian President also presented an economic plan for the residents of the country to provide significant relief. Previously, Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei remarked that some “rioters” wanted to “please” Trump.

More than 2,270 people have been detained and at least 42 people have been killed, as per the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency.

International calling and internet shutdown

Iran has shut down internet and international calls that have left more than 85 million people cut from the outside world. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has reportedly offered free Starlink services in Iran by waving the subscription fee. This would allow people with receivers in Iran to access service without making a payment, as per Ahmad Ahmadian, executive director of the US group Holistic Resilience.

On December 28, the unrest started after shopkeepers in Tehran protested against the growing inflation and fall of the Iranian Rial. Presently, one United States dollar is equivalent to 10,92,500 Iranian Rial.

In another development, White House envoy Steve Witkoff had a meeting with Iran’s exiled former crown prince, Reza Pahlavi.

Pahlavi has emerged as a rallying figure in the protests shaking the Islamic Republic.

Pongal 2026: Simple Morning Rituals Said To Remove Negativity From Home, Check

Pongal 2026 Simple Morning Rituals

Pongal is one of the most vibrant and spiritually meaningful festivals celebrated in Tamil Nadu and across India. Beyond the colourful festivities and delicious dishes, the festival carries traditions that are believed to cleanse the home of negativity and invite positivity. Pongal 2026 (falling on January 14) is an ideal time for families to perform these morning rituals, creating an environment of harmony and prosperity for the year ahead.

The four-day Pongal festival started with Bhogi Pongal on January 13, a day dedicated to renewal and spiritual cleansing. These rituals are designed to remove stagnant energy, old worries and any lingering negative vibes from the household. By following these practices, families prepare their homes and minds for abundance, gratitude and positive beginnings.

Morning Cleansing Rituals

One of the key practices on Bhogi Pongal is the sacred morning bonfire, or Bhogi Mantalu. Families wake before sunrise to burn old wooden items, unused household objects and other discarded items. This ritual symbolises letting go of past burdens and negativity, making space for fresh opportunities in the new year.

Deep household decluttering also plays a vital role. Homes are cleaned thoroughly, with broken or worn-out items removed. This process is believed to clear not only physical clutter but also emotional residue and “electronic smog,” effectively re-consecrating the home.

Kolams (or traditional rangolis) are drawn at entrances to invite positive energy. Hanging torans made of mango leaves and turmeric above the main door acts as a protective barrier, preventing negative vibes from entering the home. Saltwater purification is another simple yet powerful practice. Adding rock salt to cleaning water or placing bowls of salt in corners helps absorb and neutralise heavy vibrations, while ringing bells or burning incense purifies the air and uplifts the home’s energy.

Pongal 2026: Rituals That Invite Positive Energy

On the main day of Pongal, families rise early to greet the sun and offer water from a copper vessel. This act of sun worship grounds energy and symbolises the triumph of light over darkness. Cooking the traditional Pongal dish outdoors is another central ritual. The dish, made from freshly harvested rice, milk and jaggery, is allowed to boil over, representing abundance and growth. Sharing it with family, friends, and neighbours extends positive energy and strengthens communal bonds.

Finally, gratitude and intention setting form the heart of these morning rituals. By expressing thanks for the harvest and nature during the Brahma Muhurat (around 5:27 AM – 6:21 AM), households invite peace, prosperity and fresh beginnings.

Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan Inaugurates Drug Free Campus Campaign at University of Delhi

DU

The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan,  inaugurated the Drug Free Campus Campaign at the University of Delhi today, underscoring the need for sustained and collective efforts to protect the youth from substance abuse and to realise the vision of a Viksit and Aatma-nirbhar Bharat.

Emphasising that strong nations require strong leadership, the Vice-President said universities are not merely centres of academic learning but institutions where values are shaped, leadership is nurtured and the future of the nation is forged. He observed that when a premier institution like the University of Delhi takes a firm stand against substance abuse, it sends a powerful message to society at large.

The Vice-President also launched a dedicated e-pledge platform (https://pledge.du.ac.in/home) and mobile application under the Nasha Mukt Parisar Abhiyaan, and urged students from universities across the country to actively participate and take the pledge for a drug-free campus. He called upon the Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to ensure that the Drug Free Campus Campaign becomes an integral part of all Central Higher Educational Institutions.

Highlighting that India is a youthful nation, the Vice-President described substance abuse as not merely a personal problem but a serious social challenge, public health concern and a threat to the country’s demographic dividend. He noted that drug abuse adversely affects physical and mental health, academic performance, family harmony, productivity and national security, including its links with narco-terrorism.

The Vice-President said the vision of a developed and self-reliant India can be realised only when the youth remain healthy, drug-free and purpose-driven. A drug-free youth, he added, is better equipped to acquire skills, promote entrepreneurship and contribute meaningfully to economic growth and national development.

Emphasising the role of education and culture, the Vice-President said that India’s ancient traditions place great importance on self-discipline, mental balance and purity of mind and body. He noted that this ethos is reflected in the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to promote meditation and yoga. The Vice-President also highlighted initiatives such as the MY Bharat Portal and the PM Anusandhan Yojana for channelising the energy of youth towards research, innovation, volunteering and nation-building.

The Vice-President observed that the National Education Policy 2020 reflects this holistic vision by emphasising mental health, life skills and student well-being. He said initiatives such as the Drug Free Campus Campaign resonate with the spirit of the Policy by creating safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environments.

Commending the University of Delhi for integrating awareness programmes, counselling mechanisms, student-led initiatives and stakeholder collaboration, the Vice-President said that when students become ambassadors of change, the impact extends beyond campuses to families and communities. He urged students to remain vigilant, support peers in distress, speak up against substance abuse and lead by example.

Expressing confidence that the University of Delhi would emerge as a model drug-free campus, the Vice-President said a Nasha Mukt Bharat is essential to achieve the goal of a healthy, strong and developed nation. The event was attended by Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Education Minister of Delhi Shri Ashish Sood, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi Prof. Yogesh Singh, senior officials, faculty members and students.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann put to rest all speculation around his appearance before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, stating unequivocally that neither he nor his office has sought any change in timing and that January 15 has been kept entirely free to comply with the Sri Takht Sahib’s directions. Asserting that he will present himself with full humility, the Chief Minister underscored that no official communication seeking a rescheduling has been issued and that the entire day stands exclusively dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, whose orders, he said, are supreme and will be followed in letter and spirit.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “I will appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as a devout Sikh and there is no question whatsoever of seeking any change in the timing.” He said January 15 has been fully dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, in accordance with the orders of the Jathedar, and that he has no other programme scheduled for the day. “I have even informed the office of the President of India about my inability to attend her event on that day, as January 15 is reserved entirely for appearing before Sri Akal Takht Sahib,” he said.

The Chief Minister further stated, “No official letter or statement has been issued by me or by my office seeking any change in the time.” He added that he was ready to appear before the Takht with utmost humility on January 15, without any alteration. Zero Tolerance for Corruption: Mann Government Blueprint for Transparent Governance

Punjab News

Reaffirming the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday said strict and exemplary action was being taken against corrupt officials in the Finance Department, underlining that no one would be spared, irrespective of rank or position.

Sharing details of the ongoing crackdown, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said complaints of corruption were received in mid-2022 against four employees posted in the Treasury and Accounts Branch (Head Office) and various District Treasury Offices. “The moment complaints were received, the department acted without delay. All four officials were immediately suspended and the matter was handed over to the Vigilance Bureau for a thorough and independent investigation,” he said.

Explaining the outcome of the departmental inquiry, the Finance Minister stated that after an exhaustive probe, decisive action was taken in December 2025. “One official holding the rank of Superintendent Grade-2 was dismissed from service, while the remaining three employees were awarded major punishments as per the service rules. This itself reflects the Punjab Government’s zero tolerance towards corruption,” he said.

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema further informed that legal proceedings were also taken to their logical conclusion. “During the course of investigation, FIR No. 1/2026 was registered by the Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar Range, against the dismissed Superintendent Grade-2. The accused was arrested on January 11, 2026, and after completion of his initial custody period, he was produced before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gurdaspur, on January 12, 2026. The Court has granted one-day police remand for further interrogation,” he said.

Taking the anti-corruption drive a step further, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema revealed that scrutiny of the bank accounts of the four accused employees uncovered suspicious financial transactions involving 22 other officers and employees. “To ensure complete fairness and transparency, the investigation into these transactions was conducted by a retired judge. Based on the findings of this impartial inquiry, departmental action has now been initiated against all 22 officials strictly as per rules,” he said.

Reiterating the government’s resolve, the Finance Minister said, “The Punjab Government is committed to providing a transparent, responsible, and clean administration to the people of the state. Wherever corruption comes to light, immediate and strict action will be taken, regardless of the official’s position.”

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema asserted that these actions send out a clear message that illegal practices and misconduct would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and that the Bhagwant Mann Government’s priority remained building an honest and trustworthy administrative system for the people of Punjab.

India–China Dispute Over Shaksgam Valley: Strategic Concerns Resurface in Kashmir

The Shaksgam Valley, located in the trans-Karakoram region of Jammu and Kashmir, has once again come into focus amid renewed discussions on India–China relations and regional security. The territory, also known as the Trans-Karakoram Tract, remains a sensitive geopolitical issue involving India, China, and Pakistan.

India–China Dispute Over Shaksgam Valley

Shaksgam Valley is part of the larger Kashmir region that India considers an integral part of its territory. However, the area came under Chinese control following the 1963 China–Pakistan Boundary Agreement, under which Pakistan illegally ceded the Shaksgam Valley to China. India has consistently rejected this agreement, asserting that Pakistan had no legal authority to transfer Indian territory to a third country.

Strategic Concerns Resurface in Kashmir

Strategically, the Shaksgam Valley holds immense importance due to its proximity to the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and key mountain passes linking Xinjiang with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Experts note that Chinese infrastructure development in nearby regions enhances Beijing’s strategic depth and logistical capabilities in the Himalayan belt.

The issue has gained attention again more than a year after India and China reached a disengagement understanding to ease prolonged military tensions in eastern Ladakh. While the agreement helped reduce frontline friction, unresolved boundary disputes—including areas like Shaksgam Valley—continue to cast a shadow over long-term stability.

Indian officials have repeatedly emphasized that any discussion or agreement involving Kashmir without India’s participation is null and void. New Delhi maintains that Chinese presence in Shaksgam Valley violates India’s sovereignty and undermines regional peace.

From a broader perspective, the Shaksgam Valley dispute reflects the complex triangular dynamics between India, China, and Pakistan, where territorial claims, strategic corridors, and military considerations intersect. Analysts believe that developments in this region will remain closely linked to future India–China border negotiations and South Asian security architecture.

As geopolitical competition intensifies in the Himalayas, Shaksgam Valley continues to stand as a symbol of unresolved disputes, reinforcing India’s long-standing position on territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Anurag Dhanda Praises Punjab Government Policies, Calls Them a Model for Other States

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has repeatedly expressed admiration for the policies and governance model of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, highlighting major reforms across healthcare, agriculture, rural development, education, and infrastructure.

Anurag Dhanda Praises Punjab Government Policies

From the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme to farmer empowerment initiatives, Dhanda has been seen openly appreciating the state government’s efforts to improve public welfare and strengthen grassroots development. He has described Punjab’s health insurance scheme as a “revolution in the healthcare sector,” noting that Punjab has emerged as the first state in India to provide health cover of up to ₹10 lakh to every citizen.

Dhanda has also frequently cited Aam Aadmi Clinics as a landmark achievement, calling them a major step toward accessible and affordable healthcare, especially for people in rural and semi-urban areas. According to him, these clinics have significantly eased the burden on government hospitals while ensuring timely treatment for common ailments.

Dhanda has often referred to such measures as genuine efforts

In the agriculture sector, Anurag Dhanda has praised the Punjab government for timely compensation to farmers, particularly during natural disasters. He pointed out that when flood-affected farmers were compensated within 30 days, the move set a strong example of responsive and farmer-centric governance. Dhanda has often referred to such measures as genuine efforts toward farmer empowerment.

Beyond health and agriculture, Dhanda has credited the Mann government for visible improvements in road connectivity and the changing landscape of rural Punjab. He has linked the development of infrastructure and improved village amenities to what he describes as “clear intent and effective policy execution” by the state leadership.

Calling Punjab’s governance approach a model for other states, Anurag Dhanda has urged governments across India to study and replicate Punjab’s initiatives, particularly in healthcare delivery, rural transformation, and agricultural reforms. His consistent praise reflects growing confidence within the party that Punjab’s policy framework can serve as a benchmark for people-centric governance.

The BCB officials said that their decision was a security and logistics-based verdict, reiterating that the safety of the players remains the board’s top priority. No new incidents were officially cited, but the board made it clear that its position has not changed despite the ongoing discussions.

Why This Puts Pressure on the ICC

“The ICC is the governing body of the tournament, and it is upon them to ensure smooth participation of all nations,” said the source. “If Bangladesh doesn’t want to play their matches against India, there are many other opponents willing to accept the invitation to board the ICC cricket bus,” said the source.

Effect of India’s Schedule on the T20 World Cup Plan

A prolonged deadlock may impact:

  • Scheduling matches & logistics
  • Radio and Commercial Agreements
  • Fan Travel and Ticketing Plans

However, the organisers of the tournaments are very wary of any last-minute changes that may impact the operations of the tournaments and their image globally.

India’s Response and Broader Implications

The Indian cricket administration has yet to make official comments about the issue. It is believed that this matter might also be discussed through official cricketing and diplomatic channels. It is also believed that this situation might also impact bilateral cricketing between the two nations.
