Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 39: Even in its sixth week at the box office, Ranveer Singh’s high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar continues to impress. Despite entering its final phase, the film has managed to draw strong footfalls, with Day 39 collections coming in at around Rs 2.25 cr India net.

Reports from Sacnilk show that the film’s Monday (Day 39) numbers were lower than its sixth Friday collection of Rs 2.25 cr. However, the weekend showed a steady pick-up, with Dhurandhar earning Rs 5.75 cr on Saturday and Rs 6.15 cr on Sunday, bringing the sixth-week total to an estimated Rs 17.65 cr. Even as collections dip in its final week, the performance remains remarkable, especially compared to newly released films like The Raja Saab, which earned Rs 5.4 cr on just its fourth day.

Since its release on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar has been a box office phenomenon. The film’s India net collection crossed Rs 800 cr over the recent weekend, strengthening its position as one of Bollywood’s highest-grossing films of all time. The Hindi net collection currently stands at Rs 807.90 cr, while the gross total collections have reached an impressive Rs 969.25 cr, with overseas earnings estimated at Rs 289.35 cr.

About The Film And Its OTT Release

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows a ruthless Indian RAW operative, codenamed “The Wrath of God,” as he infiltrates Pakistan’s criminal underworld in Karachi to dismantle a terror network. The story draws inspiration from real-life events, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2008 Mumbai attacks, centering on the mission to capture the notorious gangster Rehman Dakait.

The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, with Akshaye Khanna playing the primary antagonist. The ensemble also includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, delivering performances that were widely praised. Audiences have particularly lauded Khanna’s menacing portrayal and the film’s immersive, gritty take on espionage. Despite a runtime nearing four hours, the narrative maintains tension and engagement throughout.

With a budget reportedly between Rs 250–300 cr (covering both Part 1 and the upcoming Part 2), Dhurandhar has emerged as an all-time blockbuster. Its digital rights were acquired by Netflix for an estimated Rs 130–285 cr as part of a deal covering both parts. The film is scheduled for its OTT release on January 30, 2026, ahead of the sequel, Dhurandhar Part 2: The Revenge, slated for March 19, 2026.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 4: Prabhas Can’t Save This Royal Disaster, Film Crashes On Monday, Earns 75% Less Than Dhurandhar

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 4: The Raja Saab Box Office run has taken a worrying turn just days after release. Prabhas’ big-budget Tollywood film opened well, but the initial buzz faded quickly. By Monday, the drop was sharp and hard to ignore. Early trends now show that the film has earned 80% less than Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, highlighting the impact of poor word of mouth.

The film began its journey with a strong Day 1 collection of Rs 53.75 crore across India. However, the momentum did not last. On Saturday, collections fell to Rs 26 crore, followed by another dip on Sunday with Rs 19.1 crore. These numbers had already raised concern, and Monday confirmed the downward trend.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 4

As reported by Sacnilk, The Raja Saab earned only Rs 6.6 crore on Day 4. This is the lowest single-day collection so far. It also marks around 75% fall compared to Rs 27 cr earned by Dhurandhar on the 4th day, making the situation even more alarming. After five days, the film’s total collection stands at Rs 113.4 crore, which is far below expectations for a film made on such a grand scale.

Theatre occupancy figures tell a similar story. On its first Monday, the Telugu version saw just 16% occupancy in morning shows. Afternoon and evening shows showed a slight improvement at 26%, while night shows reached 30%. The Hindi version performed poorly throughout the day, with less than 10% occupancy. The Tamil version also struggled, recording an average occupancy of 13%.

Because of weak footfalls across regions, the film reportedly earned only Rs 5–6 crore on Day 4. When compared to its opening day, this reflects a massive drop of nearly 89-91%. Such a steep fall signals strong audience rejection, leaving little hope for a recovery in the coming days.

About The Film And What Disappointed In This Prabhas Starrer

Released on January 9 and directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features Prabhas in dual roles as Raju and his grandfather Kanakaraju. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Zarina Wahab, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. Comedians Satya and VTV Ganesh add humour to the film.

The story follows Raju as he visits a haunted mansion in the Narasapur forest to find his missing grandfather for his ailing grandmother. While the idea promised a mix of horror, fantasy, and royal drama, audiences felt the execution was weak and confusing.

Many pointed to the poor screenplay, artificial VFX and uneven performances. The long 189-minute runtime and loud background score by Thaman S also tested viewers’ patience. As a result, several viewers labelled the film a “ROYAL DISASTER,” especially considering its reported Rs 400 crore budget.

Although the Sankranti festive season may bring slight stability, experts remain doubtful. Upcoming releases like Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu could further affect collections. Adding to the troubles, the film was leaked online soon after its release, prompting cybercrime police action.

At this point, The Raja Saab Box Office numbers suggest that even Prabhas’ star power may not be enough to reverse the film’s declining run.

Lohri 2026: What Made Homemade Pinni, Til Gud Laddoos, Sarson Da Saag And Makki Di Roti An Integral Part Of The Festival?

Lohri 2026: As the bone-chilling cold waves of January 2026 grips Punjab and North India, Lohri bonfires crackle to life on January 13, ushering in the harvest bounty.

The festival is more than just dancing around agave flames and singing folk tunes. In fact, Lohri is a complete feast for the soul that is anchored by timeless Punjabi delights: homemade pinni, til gud laddoos, sarson da saag and makki di roti.

Lohri 2026 Delicacies

Homemade pinni, til gud laddoos, sarson da saag and makki di roti are more than just meal options or snacks. They are the heartbeat of Lohri that blend nostalgia, nutrition and ritual in every bite.

Let us find out what makes the festival of Lohri and these delicacies an integral part of the festival.

Starting with homemade pinni, these nutty and golden balls of wheat flour (atta), ghee, jaggery (gur) and roasted nuts like almonds and peanuts are a delight for your taste buds. They symbolize warmth and prosperity. In the harsh winter post-harvest season, their dense energy that is packed with carbs, healthy fats, and iron fuel farmers through long nights.

The til gud laddoos – sesame (til) and jaggery spheres are no second. Harvested around Lohri, sesame seeds ward off evil spirits per folkfore while the natural sugars of jaggery boost immunity against winter ills.

Lohri-The Festival of Joy & Happiness

No Lohri platter in Punjab and North India is complete without the iconic sarson da saag and makki di roti – the dynamic duo of mustard greens stewed slowly with spices and cornflatbreads slathered in white butter.

Saag is simmered for hours with spinach, ginger and fenugreek that deliver vitamins A and C to combat winter deficiencies. Coarse and hearty, Makki di roti pairs perfectly with sarso da saag.

Will you fire up your kitchen for authentic pinni this Lohri, or hunt street-side stalls?

Environmental protection alongside development is the govt’s top priority: Chief Minister

CM Yogi

The Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of ongoing and proposed National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) road projects in the state on Monday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that while infrastructure development is a critical requirement for Uttar Pradesh, it must not come at the cost of environmental protection.

He informed that the state has set a target of planting 35 crore saplings this year and reiterated the government’s policy that trees should be felled only when absolutely unavoidable. In such cases, compensatory plantation must exceed the number of trees cut, ensuring a balanced approach between development and environmental conservation.

During the district-wise review conducted via video conferencing, he directed that strong, continuous, and effective coordination be maintained between
NHAI officials and the district administration are to ensure smooth implementation.

He instructed District Magistrates to conduct weekly reviews of NHAI projects in their respective districts. Any unresolved issue at any level must be mandatorily placed before the Chief Secretary during the Monday review meeting for prompt resolution.

To further accelerate progress, the Chief Minister also directed the Chief Secretary to personally conduct fortnightly reviews of these projects to avoid unnecessary delays and enable swift decision-making.

On land acquisition matters, the Chief Minister issued clear directions that direct communication must be maintained with farmers. He emphasized that no middlemen should be allowed to intervene under any circumstances, ensuring transparency and safeguarding farmers’ interests.

Highlighting the importance of road infrastructure, the Chief Minister said that such projects are directly linked to the state’s economic growth, industrial development, and public convenience. He stressed that all works must be completed with high quality, transparency, and within stipulated timelines, so that strengthened connectivity can provide fresh momentum to Uttar Pradesh’s development.

AI is the ‘Next Big Thing’: Siddharth Bhatia

CM Yogi

The double-engine government’s commitment to building a developed India and a developed Uttar Pradesh is now clearly visible on the ground. Future-oriented technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) are being rapidly adopted across various sectors in Uttar Pradesh. AI is being seen as the “next big thing” — the next major transformation. This was stated by Puch AI Co-founder and CEO Siddharth Bhatia, who met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday. The meeting focused on AI-related initiatives in the state and ways to make the technology more accessible to the public.

Praising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Siddharth Bhatia said that when the vision, objectives, and ambitions of the leadership are clear, positive outcomes naturally follow. He noted that the way AI policies are being formulated and implemented in Uttar Pradesh will lead to major achievements in the coming years, including significant employment generation. He emphasized that widespread and inclusive access to AI will be a key driver in transforming both the state and the country.

The Puch AI Co-founder and CEO said that AI usage in India has grown rapidly over the past few years. However, it is essential that India’s data remains secure within the country. This, he said, will enable more effective implementation of government schemes through AI. He added that his team is working to make AI accessible in a manner where farmers, homemakers, professionals, and students can seek solutions through a simple phone call or WhatsApp message — without the need to download any app. He stressed that the service should be free for all and so simple that users do not need to learn prompts.

Drawing a parallel, he cited UPI as an example. Initially met with apprehensions, UPI has today become a powerful digital payment tool reaching every household, including the most remote areas of the country. Similarly, AI should reach every citizen of Uttar Pradesh and India, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction.

Siddharth Bhatia further said that AI is not a tool for job losses but a powerful medium for employment generation. He noted that adopting AI is the need of the hour, and those who remain unaware of it risk being left behind. The future, he said, demands that professionals and citizens alike not only understand AI but use it effectively. While Uttar Pradesh has taken commendable steps at scale, these efforts must be taken further.

During the meeting, discussions were also held on investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. Siddharth Bhatia will also represent the AI sector at an upcoming international conference to be held in Davos, Switzerland.

Iran Uses ‘Kill Switch’ to Jam Starlink Internet Amid Intensifying Protests

Iran Protest

As nationwide protests continue to grip Iran, authorities have reportedly activated a “kill switch” to disrupt Starlink satellite internet services, aiming to curb digital communication and online coordination among protesters. The move has raised serious concerns about internet freedom and has sparked speculation over whether China or Russia assisted Iran in deploying such advanced jamming technology.

According to reports, users in multiple regions of Iran experienced sudden outages and signal disruptions in Starlink connectivity, which had emerged as a crucial tool for bypassing state-controlled internet restrictions. Starlink, operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, had previously provided limited but vital internet access during earlier shutdowns imposed by Iranian authorities.

How the Kill Switch Works

Experts believe Iran used sophisticated signal-jamming techniques to interfere with satellite communications. Unlike conventional internet shutdowns that target telecom networks, satellite jamming requires advanced electronic warfare capabilities, suggesting state-level technical support or expertise.

Iran Uses ‘Kill Switch’ to Jam Starlink Internet Amid Intensifying Protests

While there is no official confirmation, analysts are debating whether China or Russia, both known for cyber and electronic warfare capabilities, played any advisory or technical role. Iran, however, has not acknowledged foreign assistance and maintains that internet controls are necessary for “national security.”

Protests and Digital Blackouts

The latest wave of protests has intensified public reliance on alternative communication platforms. Activists say internet restrictions are being used to suppress information, prevent documentation of protests, and disrupt global awareness.

Human rights groups have strongly criticized the move, stating that cutting off internet access violates freedom of expression and access to information. International observers warn that satellite jamming could set a dangerous precedent for authoritarian regimes seeking to control digital spaces.

Global Implications

The reported Starlink disruption highlights a growing global contest between satellite-based internet freedom and state-level digital control. As satellite internet expands worldwide, governments may increasingly invest in countermeasures to regulate or block these services.

With protests ongoing and connectivity uncertain, the situation in Iran continues to draw global attention, raising urgent questions about technology, censorship, and international cooperation in cyberspace.

Mann Government’s Zero Tolerance Against Gangsters; Anyone Taking Law Into Their Hands Will Face Decisive Action: AAP

Punjab News

Aam Aadmi Party Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu on Monday asserted that Punjab is completely safe and law & order is firmly under control, and warned that anyone who takes the law into their own hands will not be spared under any circumstances.

Addressing a press conference at the party office, Pannu said that certain opposition leaders keep raising questions about law and order, but the reality on the ground clearly proves otherwise. He reiterated Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s zero-tolerance policy, stating that “any person who fires bullets or commits violence will not be dealt with softly; they will be answered in the same language.”

Referring to the sarpanch murder case, Pannu said Punjab Police tracked CCTV footage across nearly 110 kilometres, chased the accused across states, and with the help of Chhattisgarh Police arrested both shooters. The individual who provided shelter to the accused was also arrested. The shooters are being brought back to Punjab.

He further informed that in Ludhiana’s Haibowal area, two gangsters associated with the Godara gang, who opened fire on police, were arrested after an encounter. Similarly, in the Mohali firing case involving sports promoter Rana Balachoria, both shooters were arrested from Kolkata, West Bengal.

Pannu issued a stern warning to gangsters and shooters, saying that those who believe they can commit crimes in Punjab and hide in other states are living in a serious misconception. “Punjab Police will chase them to any state and arrest them,” he said.

Responding to opposition’s questions regarding the Anti-Gangster Task Force, Pannu clarified that it is precisely this task force that has carried out arrests across different states. He said Punjab Police has been strengthened under CM Mann and given a free hand, with a clear directive that no criminal will be spared.

Pannu pointed out that opposition leaders never acknowledge the fact that Punjab Police solves cases within 24 hours, traces crimes swiftly, and brings perpetrators to justice. He said Punjab Police today possesses modern vehicles, advanced surveillance systems, and the latest technology, making it fully prepared to handle any situation.

Highlighting Punjab’s sensitive position as a border state, Pannu said some forces repeatedly attempt to disturb peace, but they must understand that such attempts will fail. He warned that those trying to destabilise Punjab should abandon criminal activities or be prepared to face strict action.

Drawing a parallel with the government’s war against drugs, Pannu said the fight against gangsters is also being carried out systematically and relentlessly. Anyone attempting extortion, firing, or intimidation must be ready for a decisive response from Punjab Police.

He firmly stated that the Mann government does not patronise gangsters, does not promote them, and has no links or photographs with criminal elements, unlike earlier regimes. “No matter who the person is, which family they belong to, or what influence they claim, no one will be spared,” Pannu concluded.

Punjab News

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated the state’s first Startup Punjab Conclave at Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Kapurthala, placing innovation, hard work, and entrepreneurship at the heart of the government’s economic vision. Organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Punjab, the Startup Punjab Conclave 2026 emerged as a flagship state-level platform celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and the state’s rapidly expanding startup ecosystem.

Interacting with entrepreneurs at the startup conclave, the Chief Minister said that the government’s clear objective is to transform Punjab’s youth from job seekers into job givers and enable them to carve a distinct identity for themselves. “We want the youth of the state to be job givers instead of job seekers, so that they can carve a niche for themselves,” he said, adding that Punjabis are natural engineers and born entrepreneurs, which is why they succeed in every endeavour they undertake.

The Punjab government is making sustained and concerted efforts for the future of coming generations, calling it a moral duty of his government,” he added.

Expressing confidence in the conclave, the Chief Minister said it would serve as a vital platform to showcase Punjab’s innovative and fast-growing startup ecosystem to the world. “The event has brought entrepreneurs, investors, academic experts, and policymakers under one roof to foster collaboration. Our goal is to highlight the achievements of Punjab’s youth and inspire others,” he said, adding that it was a matter of pride and satisfaction that more than 100 startups from across the state are participating in the conclave.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that more than 15 incubators and over five support organisations based in Punjab are showcasing their initiatives at the event. He said the Punjab government is providing special incentive cheques to eight startups, with seven startups receiving ₹3 lakh each as seed grant and one startup receiving ₹1.20 lakh as lease rental assistance. “Startups are not just businesses, they are the biggest engines for creating new jobs and boosting the economic growth of the state,” he said.

Taking a swipe at previous regimes, the Chief Minister said that earlier people were scared of success as leaders used to demand a share in their ventures. “Those leaders looted the masses and their hands were soaked with the blood of Punjab and Punjabis. Now, the government of common people is in place, which is giving every individual a fair chance to succeed in life,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

Reiterating the Punjab government’s long-term vision, the Chief Minister said it is the dream of his government that Punjab’s youth become job creators instead of job seekers. “Startups addressing ground-level challenges in sectors such as agriculture, health, education, and administration are being actively encouraged,” he added.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 has been implemented to provide a transparent and robust framework for entrepreneurs.

The Chief Minister said that Startup Punjab is working tirelessly to nurture a culture of innovation in the state, with special priority being given to women-led startups and first-generation entrepreneurs. “Punjab’s strong industrial base and excellent infrastructure are highly conducive to startup growth and asserted that the foundation of the state’s progress will now move forward on the path of innovation and entrepreneurship,” he added, exhorting investors and industry leaders to trust the talent of Punjab’s youth and partner in strengthening the state’s economy.

Inviting youngsters to unite and explore bold ideas under the state government’s Business Blasters Campaign, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Punjab’s students are full of unique concepts but often lack recognition and encouragement. We live in a world full of examples,” he said, emphasising that in today’s era, success depends not just on presentation but on relentless hard work. Quoting former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the Chief Minister said, “Dreams are not those that come after sleep, true dreams demand action.”

Encouraging the youth to shun fleeting fame, the Chief Minister asked them to become “beacon lights for society.” Recalling an anecdote about a toothpaste company seeking ideas to boost sales, he said that while most suggestions were conventional, one simple and workable idea transformed the company’s fortunes. Bhagwant Singh Mann said with pride that the CEO of Mastercard is Punjabi, as are the founders of Swiggy and Zomato, adding that the state government is acting as a runway for dreams to take flight.

On the occasion, Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora, Lok Sabha MP Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal, and several other dignitaries were present.

Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand’s winter of 2026 has brought unprecedented worry among local residents as snowfall and rainfall plunge to record lows. This has crippled tourist spots in Nainital and apple orchards in Almora. Farmers in Kuman Hills, possibly staring at dry rivers and crop failures, are flocking to the revered Chitai Golu Devta Temple near Almora.

The “God of Justice”, Golu Devta is famed for granting wishes to devotees. It is widely believed by devotees that sincere prayers at the temple can turn the tide on natural calamities, sparking a viral pilgrimage trend amid climate woes.

Pappu Yadav: Pappu Yadav, an independent Member of Parliament from Purnea, has made derogatory remarks against Union Minister Giriraj Singh.

In a post on X, Yadav wrote that Singh likes to play in mud and gave him a derogatory name.

It is not clear what exactly provoked his sudden outburst against Singh. However, it seems that Yadav was furious by the recent statements by Singh against Congress and Mamata Banerjee day after day.

Recently, Giriraj Singh had remarked that there is no Mahagathbandhan. Singh had added that no one sticks around after elections after flocking around Rahul Gandhi during elections. Regarding Mamata Banerjee, Giriraj had remarked that every single person in the state of West Bengal calls Mamata Banerjee against the Constitution of India.

Singh had also commented that no Chief Minister ever has snatched documents from the Enforcement Directorate. He went on to remark that Mamata claimed that she only took secret documents of the party but what were the party’s secret documents doing at the office that was raided as it was not the party office.

Users targeting Pappu Yadav

Users on the social media platform are now targeting Pappu Yadav and blasting his choice for words for someone of a stature of Giriraj Singh.

Previous Controversies

Three months back, Yadav had called Giriraj a ‘psycho’. He had also remarked that Giriraj is good enough only to play the role of a Shikhandi (an eunuch character from the epic Mahabharata).

In the past, Islamophobic slurs like “terrorist,” “pimp,” and “circumcized” were used by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri against BSP MP Danish Ali during a Lok Sabha debate on Chandrayaan.

During zero hour in Lok Sabha, defamatory language against Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Congress was used by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. In 2019, Telugu Desam Party MLAs were called “dogs” and “prostitutes” by YSRCP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu during chaotic Andhra Pradesh Assembly scenes that were broadcast nationally.
