Iran Protest: Rescue or Regime Change 2.0? Donald Trump’s Open Threat Sparks Fears of Another Iraq Scenario

Iran Protest: United States President Donald Trump has warned Iran that USA would intervene if the country’s security forces shoot and kill peaceful protestors.

Trump said on his Truth social platform that the United States would not shy to come to the rescue of peaceful protestors if they are shot or killed.

The threat of Trump came after the deaths of many people as the biggest protests in Iran turned violent across multiple cities and provinces.

According to media reports, at least 6 civilians have been killed while a volunteer member of Iran’s security forces lost life during protests.

What is Causing Iran Protest?

The violence between security forces and protestors mark a considerable escalation that has spread across the country. Protestors are agitated over the Iranian government’s handling of rapidly rising prices and a sharp currency slide. Inflation has climbed to 42.5 percent in December as per official figures. At present, one United States dollar is equal to 42,125 Iranian Rial.

For years, the economy of Iran has come under fire due to massive sanctions by USA and other Western countries.

In 2022, Iran saw nationwide protests after the death of Mahsa Amini, who was arrested for allegedly violating the strict dress code of Iran for women.

Many now believe that the showdown between Iran and the United States could very well go down the lines as the Iraq and USA conflict a decade ago.

USA and Iraq

United States and Iraq entered into an armed conflict during the regime of Saddam Hussein. The then US President George W Bush claimed that the war was against terrorist activities and atrocities against Kuwait. Interestingly, many believe that the US invaded Iraq to gain hold of its oil reserves.

Battle Of Galwan: ‘Wounded’ Salman Khan Moves Through Snow, Fights Chinese Troops In Viral Video – Is It Real Or AI? Check

Battle of Galwan Salman Khan leaked viral video

Salman Khan is busy shooting for his much-awaited film Battle of Galwan. The film has already created strong buzz due to its sensitive subject and patriotic theme. Amid this excitement, a video showing Salman injured and fighting Chinese troops on a snowy mountain has gone viral on social media. Many fans believe it is leaked footage from the film. However, the truth is very different.

Here is a clear fact check.

Battle Of Galwan Footage Leaked?

The viral video shows Salman Khan in an army uniform. He appears badly wounded, with blood visible on his face. He is seen moving through a snow-covered mountain terrain. Moments later, he gets up and attacks Chinese troops using a baseball bat. The visuals look intense and dramatic.

The clip was shared on X by a user who claimed it was leaked footage from the Apoorva Lakhia directorial. The caption read, “LEAKED FOOTAGE from #BattleOfGalwan. Few scenes from #SalmanKhan’s #BattleOfGalwan are being shared across the internet.”

Soon after the clip surfaced, it spread rapidly across platforms. Fans began discussing Salman’s action scenes and praised his commitment to the role. Some even called it one of his most powerful performances yet. However, several viewers also raised doubts about the authenticity of the video.

Viral Video Of Salman Khan Is AI-generated

The viral clip is not real. It is an AI-generated video and has no connection to the actual film. Many social media users were quick to point out factual errors in the visuals.

One user commented, “But there was no snow over there when this incident took place. Looks like AI generated (sic).” Another wrote, “Please fool people with this AI-generated shite on Instagram. Yahan par padhe likhe log hain (sic).”

The real Galwan Valley clash took place in June 2020, during summer conditions. The presence of heavy snow in the video immediately raised red flags. Experts and fans alike believe the clip was created using artificial intelligence to look realistic and mislead viewers.

This incident once again highlights how AI-generated content can spread misinformation, especially around high-profile films and national events.

About Salman Khan Starrer Battle Of Galwan

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The incident was one of the most serious border confrontations in decades. What made it unique was the absence of firearms. Soldiers fought using sticks, stones, and sheer physical strength.

The film aims to capture the emotional and physical toll of the clash. It also highlights the harsh terrain and extreme conditions faced by Indian soldiers at high altitude.

Recently, the makers released the film’s teaser. It showed Salman Khan in a rugged and weathered avatar. The visuals were raw and intense. The teaser focused on grit, sacrifice, and survival rather than glamour. Many fans called it one of Salman’s most serious roles in recent years.

Battle of Galwan is produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films. The film is scheduled to release in theatres in April 2026.

The teaser was launched on December 27, 2025, coinciding with Salman Khan’s birthday. While Indian audiences praised its patriotic tone, it sparked controversy across the border. Chinese state-run media outlet Global Times accused the film of “distorting facts” and pushing a one-sided narrative. Chinese social media users also dismissed the teaser as exaggerated.

Indian fans strongly defended the film online. Even Indian government sources reportedly criticised the Chinese media’s reaction.

The recent Indore water tragedy has sparked sharp political responses across the country, with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi explosively criticizing the BJP-led government. Calling the situation intimidating, Rahul Gandhi said that citizens are being supplied with “no water, just pain,” pressing what he described as serious governance failures.

What Is the Indore Water Tragedy?

The controversy arose after reports of polluted water being supplied to several areas in Indore. Residents reported foul-smelling, unsafe water, raising concerns about public health and executive negligence. The issue snappily escalated as illustrations and testimonials from affected families spread across social and traditional media.

Rahul Gandhi’s Sharp Attack on the Government

Rahul Gandhi indicted the BJP government of systemic misgovernance. He stated that access to clean drinking water is an inalienable right. Yet, people in Indore are allegedly being exposed to poisonous water due to poor planning and a lack of responsibility.

 Allegations of Executive Failure

Rahul Gandhi claimed that the incident wasn’t an accident but the result of long-term neglect. He questioned the monitoring systems, water treatment processes, and exigency response mechanisms of the original administration.

Political responses and Public wrathfulness

The water emergency has touched off strong responses from opposition parties, civil society groups, and residents. Numerous locals have demanded immediate action, compensation, and strict accountability for the officers involved in the lapse. Political leaders have also called for independent examinations to ensure transparency.

 BJP’s Stand on the Issue

While the BJP government has assured corrective measures and examinations, opposition leaders remain undecided. They argue that damage-control statements cannot replace long-term results and accountability for public-safety failures.

Usman Khawaja

Usman Khawaja: Pakistan-born Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has announced his retirement from test cricket.

Khawaja made his debut in test cricket during the 2010-11 Ashes series against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Till date, he has scored 16 centuries and made 6,206 runs at a noteworthy average of 43.39 in 87 matches.

The Australian opener and now a lower-order batsman said the fifth Ashes test would be his last.

Usman Khawaja And Controversies

Khawaja was dropped from the Brisbane test in the ongoing Ashes series after suffering an injury while playing golf on the match eve. He went on to say that people just assume that Pakistani, coloured and West Indian players are too selfish and don’t care for the team or don’t train hard enough.

Khawaja pointed that many players have been injured in the past playing golf or some other sport but he was “selectively” picked up for negative comments. He also said that people start assuming that Usman Khawaja is playing the race card again even if he has some genuine issues on hand.

Khawaja went on to remark that hypocrisy, racism and Islamophobia are very much prevalent in Australian Cricket. He added that the next Usman Khawaja must not face all these challenges.

In an emotional 50-minute address to the press, Khawaja added he has been selectively targeted because of his honest and unbiased views on the Palestinian issue and right-wing politics. The cricketer also said he always felt being treated “differently” from others throughout his illustrious career.

Khawaja went on to add that his wife was extremely angry when she read about things said and written against him. He said it’s like facing the racial stereotypes that he has grown up with all his life. Khawaja also said he was told to “stay in his lane” as an athlete many times to his public support against Islamophobia and anti-immigration rhetoric in Australian politics.

Chairing a high-level review meeting, the chief minister directed officials to ensure that UP Diwas 2026 is celebrated on a grand scale, not only across all districts of Uttar Pradesh but also in other states and countries where a significant population from Uttar Pradesh resides. He specifically mentioned Delhi and Maharashtra as key locations for large-scale celebrations.

Main State-Level Celebrations to Be Held at Rashtra Prerna Sthal, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasised that all Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products of the state, along with One District One Product (ODOP) items, must be prominently showcased during the UP Diwas events. Calling ODOP a key identity of Uttar Pradesh, he said that this year there should be a special focus on “One District, One Cuisine” to highlight the state’s rich culinary heritage.

The chief minister also directed that cultural and theatrical programmes linked to national icons such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Birsa Munda, and literary works like Vande Mataram and Anand Math should be included to strengthen the cultural narrative of the celebrations.

Highlighting the importance of a series of national observances, CM Yogi said that National Youth Day (January 12), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti (January 23), Uttar Pradesh Day (January 24), National Tourism Day and Voters’ Awareness Day (January 25), and Republic Day (January 26) should all be organised with grandeur and coordinated planning.

He further directed that reputed cultural institutions such as Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Sangeet Natak Akademi, and Lalit Kala Akademi be actively associated with UP Diwas 2026 to enhance the scale, artistic quality, and appeal of the celebrations.

Additionally, CM Yogi Adityanath instructed Civil Defence units to conduct mock drills in every district on January 23, marking the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, reinforcing preparedness and public awareness.

The directives underline the government’s focus on positioning UP Diwas 2026 as a global platform to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s culture, heritage, products, and growing identity on the national and international stage.

The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has extended the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme for recovery of outstanding dues till March 31, 2026, providing major relief to traders and industrial units across the state.

In a major relief to traders and industrial units, the Punjab government has extended the deadline for the Punjab One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme for Recovery of Outstanding Dues, 2025 till March 31, 2026. The move is aimed at easing compliance pressure on taxpayers and encouraging wider participation in the scheme.

Bhagwant Mann Government Gives Relief to Traders

The extension was formally approved by Punjab Finance, Excise and Taxation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema after representations from various trade bodies and professional associations, including the GST Practitioners Association (GSTPA), Punjab. Stakeholders had highlighted that taxpayers were under heavy statutory compliance pressure during November and December 2025, due to overlapping deadlines for GST returns, VAT-related filings and other statutory obligations.

OTS Scheme Extended Till March 31

Officials said several eligible taxpayers also faced difficulties in determining their exact dues because VAT assessment orders were still pending service, making it challenging to apply under the scheme before the earlier deadline of December 31, 2025.

According to official data, the response to the OTS Scheme has been significant so far. A total of 6,348 applications have been received, out of which 4,365 applications have already been approved. These approved cases involve tax, interest and penalty demands worth ₹311.07 crore. Under the scheme, the state has recovered ₹65.81 crore, while ₹245.26 crore has been waived, providing substantial relief to businesses.

Calling the initiative one of the most taxpayer-friendly measures, the finance minister said the OTS Scheme 2025, launched on October 1, is designed to reduce long-pending litigation and unlock blocked revenue. Depending on the demand amount, taxpayers can avail up to 100% waiver on interest and penalty, along with significant relief on the principal tax amount.

The extension is expected to further boost participation and provide much-needed financial relief to Punjab’s trading community while strengthening the state’s revenue position.

Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case: “So Cheap?” When Did A Child’s life & Well‑Being Become Less Important Than Saving Face?

Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case

Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case: The tragic death of a 19-year-old student from a Dharmshala college has triggered public debate about poor campus culture, ragging practices and mental health of young children.

What’s the Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case all about?

A student of a Government Degree College, Pallavi succumbed after being the victim of prolonged ragging, power abuse and no support from authorities.

Pallavi’s father remarked his daughter was constantly traumatized and fearful. He blamed sustained mistreatment on campus for the untimely death of his young daughter.

Himachal Pradesh Police has registered a case against three students and a college professor following a complaint by the father of the deceased girl. The FIR is filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Himachal Pradesh Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Ragging) Act, 2009.

The case has reminded people of the death of MBBS student Aman Kachroo in 2009 that resulted in strengthened anti-ragging laws in Himachal Pradesh.

According to campus safety experts, ragging laws exist but they don’t help much as enforcement often lags. This is primarily because of institutional reluctance to confront peer misconduct or internal faculty, insufficient counselling services and social pressures.

Calls for Independent Review

Student groups and parents associations in Dharmshala have demanded an urgent and independent inquiry panel. They want better campus mental health infrastructure and reporting channels for harassment. Many activists have urged that real-time monitoring of counselling cells and anti-ragging committees must be implemented by all institutions in the country instead of reactive post-incident investigations.

On social media, many users asked, “why has the lives of our young children became so cheap?”

Javed Akhtar: ‘Topi On My Head…’ Veteran Lyricist Warns Of Legal Action Against The Culprit Who Made His AI-Generated Viral Video, Check

Veteran lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has reacted strongly to a fake AI-generated video that falsely claims he has “turned to God.” The video shows a computer-made image of Akhtar wearing a skull cap and links it to a religious claim. Javed Akhtar has called the video false and misleading.

The issue has sparked fresh debate around the misuse of artificial intelligence. It comes just days after actor and MP Kangana Ranaut raised concerns over AI-edited images of her from Parliament. Once again, public figures are speaking up against AI misuse and fake content.

Javed Akhtar Calls Out Fake AI video

On Friday morning, Javed Akhtar took to X, formerly Twitter, to address the viral video. He shared a Facebook link where the fake video was being circulated. He made it clear that the visuals were not real.

Calling the video rubbish, Akhtar expressed his anger in a direct post. He wrote, “A fake video is in circulation showing my fake computer-generated picture with a topi on my head, claiming that ultimately I have turned to God. It is rubbish.”

He also said he may take legal action in the matter. In another post, he wrote, “I am seriously considering to report this to the cyber police and ultimately dragged the person responsible for this fake news and those few who forward it to the court for damaging my reputation and credibility.”

The timing of the fake video has raised eyebrows. Just days earlier, Javed Akhtar took part in a public debate in New Delhi titled Does God Exist? The discussion was held at the Constitution Club of India. Islamic scholar Mufti Shamail Nadwi was also part of the event. Soon after the debate, the AI-generated image began circulating online, wrongly linking the discussion to a personal belief claim.

Many social media users have backed Akhtar. They have criticised the growing trend of using AI to spread false stories and damage reputations.

Kangana Ranaut, Sreeleela And Others Also Spoke On Misuse of AI

Javed Akhtar’s reaction follows a similar stand taken by Kangana Ranaut. A few days ago, AI-edited photos of Kangana went viral. The images showed her wearing suits while exiting Parliament. Kangana clarified that the original photos showed her in saris.

Reacting to the edits, she wrote, “Originally, these are my pictures from the Parliament in saris. Stop using AI on my pictures.”

She also shared her frustration in another post. She wrote, “This is violating beyond words, every day I wake up to see myself in various Al clothes various makeups, even in edited photos, people should stop dressing up others!! Please stop with these Al edits and let me choose/decide how I want to look and what I want to wear when is entirely my prerogative.”

Last month, actors Sreeleela and Nivetha Thomas also spoke about the dangers of AI-generated content. They warned about privacy issues and misuse. Both actors called for the ethical use of AI and more awareness around its impact.

Viral Video: Empowered, Entitled Or Shameful? Woman Lies Oblivious On Road With Wailing Baby Beside After New Year Celebrations, Netizens In Shock

Bengaluru Viral Video

Viral Video: A disturbing video circulating widely on social media has left netizens shocked and divided. The clip, reportedly recorded after New Year celebrations, shows a woman lying flat on a road while an infant baby beside her cries uncontrollably. What has alarmed viewers most is the woman’s apparent obliviousness to her surroundings, including moving traffic and bystanders filming the scene instead of intervening.

Views and comments

The short video, which has garnered thousands of views and comments within hours, appears to capture the aftermath of late-night celebrations. While the exact location and circumstances remain unverified, the visuals alone have ignited intense debate online. Many users expressed concern for the baby’s safety, calling the situation “deeply unsettling” and “irresponsible.”

 Reactions Concern among netizens

Viral Video: Social media platforms were flooded with reactions questioning whether the incident reflected carelessness, entitlement, or a larger issue of public responsibility during celebrations. Several users pointed out that regardless of context, a public road is no place for a vulnerable child, especially during late-night hours when visibility and safety risks are heightened.

Others, however, urged caution against quick judgment. Some netizens suggested the woman could have been unwell, exhausted, or overwhelmed, stressing the importance of empathy before drawing conclusions. A few users also criticized those filming the incident instead of stepping in to help, raising ethical concerns about bystander behavior in the age of viral content.

‘Fukra Insaan’ Abhishek Malhan has finally reacted to the engagement rumours linking him to actor Jiya Shankar. The YouTuber spoke up after fresh speculation spread on social media. The buzz started again after Jiyaa shared photos with a mystery man.

Jiya Shankar soon clarified that she was not engaged to Abhishek. Even after this, his name kept trending online. This pushed Abhishek to respond and ask people to stop connecting him to baseless stories.

Abhishek Malhan Breaks Silence On Engagement Rumours

Abhishek addressed the issue through his Instagram Stories. His message was direct and emotional. He made it clear that he is tired of the same rumours returning every year. He wrote, “I want to make one thing very clear – please stop linking my name with anyone. I was part of a show three years ago, and that chapter ended there. My choices and stance were made very clear back then, and nothing has changed since.”

He also pointed out a pattern behind such rumours. According to him, the same narratives resurface without any reason. Expressing disappointment, he added, “What’s disappointing is that this has become a pattern. Almost every year, out of nowhere, the same narratives resurface without any reason or context. Even I can see it, and I believe the audience is smart enough to notice this pattern too.”

What grabbed attention was that Abhishek did not mention Jiya Shankar by name in his post. Fans noticed this quickly. Many believe it hints that the two are no longer on good terms after Bigg Boss OTT 2 ended.

‘Respect My Personal Life’ – Says Fukra Insaan

Abhishek ended his message with a clear appeal for privacy. He asked fans to respect his personal space and let him focus on his work. He wrote, “I don’t entertain or participate in such games, assumptions, or unnecessary speculation. I prefer focusing on my work and moving forward positively. I request everyone to respect that and let things rest.”

Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar grew close during their time on Bigg Boss OTT 2. Their bond became a major talking point among viewers. Since then, rumours about their relationship have surfaced many times. Both have always said they are just friends.

Recently, Jiya Shankar was also linked to Border 2 actor Ahan Shetty. Social media reports claimed the two were dating and planning to get married. These rumours gained attention after they were reportedly spotted together and after Jiya posted cryptic captions about “someone special”.

However, Ahan Shetty’s team dismissed these reports in November 2025. They called them “completely baseless” and said the actor is single and focused on his upcoming projects, including Border 2.

Cooking Oil: Healthy Fats or Hidden Toxins, Are Imported Oils Overrated When India’s Own Oils Fare Better?

Cooking Oil

Cooking Oil: Have you ever visited a shopping mall or grocery store and wondered, “Which oil for cooking is actually healthy?” You’re not alone!

Which is the right cooking oil?

Choosing the right cooking oil for your home and loved ones can be a difficult choice given the many fancy labels and health promises. But here is the truth – it’s easy to choose the best oil.

Roti & Paratha Rules

Desi ghee is pure gold for your everyday chapatis. A small amount of ghee adds richness, provides that nostalgic homemade aroma and supports digestion. The trick is simple – cook parathas dry and then brush a small amount of ghee afterward. This helps in keeping the nutrition levels intact and avoiding the absorption of excess fat.

Indian Tadka Essentials

Go traditional with peanut, sesame or mustard oil for those sizzling tadkas that bring daals and veggies to life. You can even trust the cold-pressed kachhi ghani oil. These oils help in enhancing the authentic flavours of Indian dishes. Moreover, they also come loaded with heart-healthy fats and antioxidants.

For Light Cooking and Global Dishes

If you’re sautéing veggies or tossing up a salad, olive oil can be an excellent choice for you. It’s flavourful, gentle and perfect for no-heat or low-heat cooking. If you are unable to put your hands on olive oil for any reason whatsoever, you can count on avocado or grapeseed oil. However, you should avoid using them for enjoying an Indian tadka as they may lose nutrients and flavour at high temperatures.

Balance Your Omegas

Incorporate a mix of oils to naturally balance omega‑3 and omega‑6 fatty acids. Rotate between mustard, olive oil and desi ghee to keep inflammation levels under check while boosting heart health.

Oils You Should Avoid

It is best to stay far away from refined canola, sunflower, safflower, vegetable and palm oil. These heavily-processed oil are often stripped of nutrients and may trigger inflammation when used regularly.

On Wednesday, Khurshid reached Incholi police station in an emotional state. He broke down while speaking to the police and shared his side of the story. Khurshid alleged that his wife, Iram, often leaves home without informing him. He claimed that she spends time making videos with Shadab Jakati.

On Thursday, the issue escalated further after multiple videos went viral on social media. Separate videos of both Khurshid and Iram began circulating online. A video shared by journalist account Narendra Pratap also confirmed the dispute and brought attention to the case.

However, it is important to note that these viral videos have not been officially verified. There has been no confirmation from the police regarding the authenticity of the videos. Despite this, public interest in the case has continued to grow.

According to sources, Iram has defended Shadab Jakati and denied the allegations made by her husband. She has reportedly stated that the accusations are false and that the issue has been exaggerated. Her defence of the YouTuber has further divided public opinion.

Who is Shadab Jakati?

Shadab Jakati is a well-known digital creator from Meerut. He rose to fame with his viral reel “10 rupaye wala biscuit kitne ka hai ji.” The dialogue turned him into a household name on social media. His content focuses on small-town humour and everyday situations.

In November 2025, Jakati faced legal trouble after being arrested in Meerut over an allegedly obscene video involving a minor girl. He later clarified that the girl was his daughter. He issued a public apology and stated that there was no wrong intent. He was later released on bail.

About Iram

Iram is a Meerut-based content creator who frequently appears in Shadab Jakati’s videos. She has featured in several comedy reels with him. These videos often show light-hearted banter and on-screen chemistry. While her personal details remain private, her association with Jakati has now placed her at the centre of the controversy.
