Bhagwant Mann: The Punjab Police on Day 348 of its anti-drug campaign Yudh Nashian Virudh announced a major statewide enforcement action, reporting the arrest of 171 drug smugglers and multiple narcotics seizures in coordinated raids.

The operation was carried out with support from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Punjab, which has been leading targeted intelligence-based actions against supply chains and distribution channels. Officials said coordinated field operations and surveillance have strengthened enforcement efficiency.

Police also stated that 46 individuals were counselled and motivated for de-addiction and rehabilitation, underlining that the campaign combines enforcement with preventive and recovery measures aimed at reducing drug dependency.

Under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, the CM Yogi Adityanath government would increase the amount from Rs. 51,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. The state government has allocated Rs. 750 crore for the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana.

Ghaziabad Viral Video: The closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of a statue site has revealed a broad daylight robbery in Ghaziabad’s Shalimar Garden area, just a few days after the inauguration.

The CCTV revealed a daredevil thief stealing the main steel gate of the statue site at Prerna Sthal.

In the video footage, a young man can be seen strolling near the Shalimar Garden’s statue site. A few seconds later, he could be seen breaking the primary gate made of steel by hanging on it. He later hides it behind the statues to avoid suspicion. After a while, the man makes a return with a sack before loading the gate into it and walking away calmly.

Locals found the steel gate at the statue site missing and immediately informed the police. After this, a team of police arrived at the statue site and questioned people from the surrounding area before seizing the CCTV footage.

Police Reaction

Sahibabad ACP Shweta Yadav remarked that the accused would be arrested soon based on the CCTV footage.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak had recently unveiled statues of prominent figures at the Prerna Sthal and highlighted their great contributions. Pathak also inspected several development works and public welfare schemes in different areas of the city. He then visited the MMG Hospital and then proceeded to inspecting the new 100-bed hospital that is under construction.

Reaction Of Education Department

The Education Department of Uttar Pradesh swung into quick action after the matter was escalated. Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Rahul Mishra remarked that a show-cause notice has been served to the headmistress Monica Soni who has been asked to give a reply within 2 days. Mishra said strict action would be taken against her if the investigation finds her guilty.

In the viral video, the principal of the school can be seen casually calling the school’s students to consume the milk. In another clip from the same school, the headmistress could be seen sleeping during school’s working hours that fuelled outrage among locals and parents.

In another development, a primary school in Sichaura village, which falls under the Mahoba district’s Kabrai block was found to serve fewer vegetables than the standard procedure. It also substitutes tea for milk and Jitendra Kumar Dixit, the school’s principal, has been accused of misappropriating the mid-day meal budget.

Lucknow Viral Video: A six-year-old boy lost his life and five others were severely injured after a class 12 student rammed his Swift Dzire car into pedestrians in Lucknow’s Banthara area on Kanpur Road around 6 pm.

The Class 12th student studying at the Avadh College was returning from a school farewell to his home along with his girlfriend.

Gaurav Singh’s speeding car struck an auto-rickshaw and pedestrians near the Hanuman Temple. The accused dropped off his girlfriend after the incident.

In the accident, 60-year-old Meena Devi, 35-year-old Sadhna Verma, 42-year-old Awadh Bihari and 12-year-old Armaan were injured while the 6-year-old Dikshant Patel lost his life. Dikshant was the son of Sadhna Vermaand the grandson of Meena Devi.

The young boy suffered severe head injury and succumbed during medical treatment. CCTV footage of the hit-and-run surfaced and the driver has been detained now by the police while the vehicle has been seized.

Police Reaction

Rajnish Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Lucknow, remarked that a case has been registered under different sections associated with negligent and rash driving among several other charges. The ACP added that it was claimed by the driver that the accident happened after one of the vehicle’s tyres burst.

The accused had borrowed the car of a friend to attend the school’s farewell function. After the function, Gaurav dropped 3 of his four friends before his vehicle rammed into auto-rickshaw and pedestrians. It was remarked by the police that the girl passengers immediately got out of the car and was detained after she was handed over to the police by locals. The accused tried to flee, leaving behind the vehicle but was tracked down before being taken into police custody.

The Lucknow hit-and-run case comes close on the heels of the recent Kanpur’s Lamborghini crash case, raising serious concerns over young people driving vehicles.

A new WhatsApp voice note allegedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang has caused fresh tension in Bollywood. The audio clip, which is now going viral, contains direct threats aimed at Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty. The message also warns that their managers and staff could be targeted.

This comes shortly after the firing incident outside Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai home. Although no one was hurt, the event raised serious concerns about celebrity safety. Now, the latest voice note has added to the anxiety.

The viral audio features a man identifying himself as Hari Boxer. He says he is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the recording, he issues strong warnings to both Singh and Shetty.

In the voice note, he says, “Main Hari Boxer, Lawrence Bishnoi gang se. Yeh voice note Bollywood walo ke liye hai, khaaskar Ranveer Singh tere liye aur Rohit Shetty tere liye. Time rehte tum dono line pe nahi aaye na tumhara woh haal karenge ki tumhari saath pidhi… Ranveer Singh tujhe bahot zyada shauk hai salah dene ka, application dedo, report kardo aur tune bhi kardi.”

He continues with an even more disturbing claim and further says, “Ab sunn meri baat, tumhare neeche jo bhi kaam karta hai na manager, jitne bhi log kaam karte hai, inn sabki detail hai hamare paas. Unki ghar ki, kab office jaate hai, kab aate hai, parivaar kaha rehta hai, sabki detail hai hamare paas. Tumhare ko kuch nahi bolenge, inki aisi taisi karna chalu kar denge jo tumhare neeche kaam karte hai. Tab tumhare akkal thikane aayegi. Time rehti hie line pe aajao. Ranveer Singh, tu yeh jo baat bolke uske baat se tu mokar gaya na, thik hai, isliye yh voice note chhodh rahe hai tere ko. Ya toh tu teri baat pe wapas aaja ya toh bhai baat se mokarne ki saza kya hoti hai woh ham tujhe batayenge. Aaramse baithke sunna, tum dono, Rohit Shetty aur tu.”

More Details About The Incident

The fresh threat follows a shocking incident outside Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu. In the early hours of February 1, 2026, unidentified assailants reportedly fired four to five rounds near the building.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. However, one bullet allegedly hit a glass panel in the gym area. The incident quickly grabbed headlines.

Soon after, a social media post allegedly linked to a Bishnoi gang associate claimed responsibility. The post described the firing as a “trailer” and warned the director.

In response, Mumbai Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Several suspects were arrested. Security at Shetty’s residence was also tightened.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty made his first public appearance after the firing. He was seen at Mumbai airport while dropping his son, who was travelling to London for studies. The filmmaker did not speak to the media.

Actor Ranveer Singh reportedly received a threatening WhatsApp voice note on February 10, 2026. Reports suggest the message demanded an extortion amount between Rs 1 crore and Rs 10 crore.

Preliminary investigations by the Mumbai Crime Branch allegedly linked the voice to Harry Boxer, said to be associated with the Bishnoi gang. Forensic analysis is still underway.

Following the threat, security has been increased at the Worli residence Ranveer Singh shares with Deepika Padukone. Multiple armed personnel have reportedly been deployed.

So far, neither Ranveer Singh nor Rohit Shetty has issued an official statement. However, fans have expressed concern across social media.

Delhi Dehradun Expressway: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the much-awaited Delhi-Dehradun Expressway on February 28, 2026. Once operational, the expressway would cut down the distance between the national capital and Doon Valley to just 2.5 hours from the existing 7-8 hours.

The 210 kilometre expressway, also referred to as the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Economic Corridor, is designed as a six-lane highway. The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway would start from Delhi’s Akshardham and passes via Baghapat, Baraut, Meerut, Shamli, Muzzafarnagar and Saharanpur before ending at Dehradun.

UP News: Liquor Price Hike From April 1! First State To Issue Standalone Three-Year Excise Export Policy, Here’s What It Means

UP News: The new excise policy of Uttar Pradesh has been approved by the State Cabinet. Starting April 1, local liquor prices in the state would be increased by approximately Rs. 5 per bottle. On the other hand, the prices of foreign liquor would be increased by Rs. 10 to Rs. 30 per bottle. The rates for miniature and half-quarter bottles have also been increased.

UP News-Changes In Allocation, Shop Quota And License Fees

Under India’s first standalone three-year Excise Export Policy (2026-29), the state of Uttar Pradesh would reduce the quota for local liquor shops in urban areas in the state. The state would allot retail liquor shops via an e-lottery system. The state would see an increase of 7.5 percent in the context of license fee for retail foreign liquor shops. A 7.5 percent hike would also be applied to beer licenses in the state.

The state would grant separate licenses for the sale of low-alcohol beverages like wine, ready-to-drink products and beer in the context of off-premise consumption in cities like Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Agra and Prayagraj.

Under the new policy, standalone Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and beer shops would be discontinued. Moreover, no canteen would be allowed to operate in composite shops. IMFL and desi liquor would not be allowed to be sold from the same shop.

Going forward, Molasses-based country liquor would be made available in 36 percent and 25 percent strengths in 200 ml tetra packs while grain-based UMPL would be allowed at 42.8 percent (200 ml and 100 ml) and 28 percent (200 ml).

New Excise Framework

Under the new excise framework, liquor and other excise products that are manufactured in the state could now be exported to other countries. Effective April 1, the new excise policy of Uttar Pradesh has seen the introduction of several pricing and structural changes that are aimed at streamlining licensing, boosting revenue and expanding market opportunities.
