Mardaani 3: ‘800+ Missing’ Scare Was Paid PR Push For Rani Mukerji Starrer As Per BJP Leader, Police Warn Of Strict Action – WATCH

Mardaani 3 Paid PR: Rani Mukerji’s cop thriller Mardaani 3 became the centre of a controversy after reports claimed that over 800 people (mostly women and children) had gone missing from Delhi. The story quickly went viral on social media, with influencers and digital media platforms sharing posts citing PTI as the source.

However, BJP leader Amit Malviya (National In-Charge of the party’s Information & Technology Department) alleged that the reports were not genuine. He claimed it was a paid campaign aimed at promoting Mardaani 3, creating unnecessary panic among citizens.

Malviya reshared a video by influencer Archit Vats, who said the campaign was part of the film’s promotion. In the clip, Vats noted, “Sabka source ek hi tha, PTI… ab PTI me articles kaise chapta hai, I won’t comment on that, jinko pata hai pata hai (sic).”

According to the BJP leader, a similar campaign had first appeared in Mumbai, where local authorities took action against those spreading unverified news. Following resistance there, the campaign allegedly shifted to Delhi, targeting audiences through paid social media posts.

Mardaani 3 Paid PR Claim: Delhi Police Response

Delhi Police quickly stepped in to clarify the situation. Officials confirmed that the numbers being circulated were based on historical data and that there was no significant surge in missing cases in January 2026 compared to the previous year.

The police also warned against spreading misinformation for monetary gain. In a post dated February 6, 2026, they wrote, “After following a few leads, we discovered that the hype around the surge in missing girls in Delhi is being pushed through paid promotion (sic).” Authorities added that strict action would be taken against those creating panic or promoting false narratives.

The controversy gained extra attention because Mardaani 3 focuses on missing children, mirroring the theme of the alleged paid PR stunt. Several influencers reportedly promoted the story without verifying facts, and Yash Raj Films has not yet responded to the claims.

Plot Details Of Rani Mukerji Starrer

Produced by Aditya Chopra‘s YRF, Mardaani 3 sees Rani Mukerji reprise her role as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy, now part of the National Investigation Agency in Delhi. The story begins with the abduction of two girls from Bulandshahr — one the daughter of a diplomat and the other from a marginalised family.

As Shivani investigates, she uncovers a large human trafficking network that has caused dozens of children to go missing. The plot follows her efforts to bring the criminals to justice while battling a corrupt system that exploits vulnerable children.

Honey Myths: How Heat And Bad Mixes Can Turn Nectar Into Toxin? Dietician Shares Her Expert Opinion

Honey Myths

Honey Myths: For centuries across the world, honey (also known as nectar or shahad) has been considered a powerhouse of antibacterial properties, enzymes and antioxidants.

Charaka Samhita, the main text of Ayurveda, suggests that there is nothing as harmful as the ama (indigestible substance) that can be a result of the improper intake of honey. According to dieticians, the properties of raw honey change when it is heated. When used properly, raw honey can significantly reduce kapha and congestion while balancing vata.

The Science Behind Heated Honey

When honey is cooked or heated, the fructose and sugar in it start changing their chemical composition because of the Maillard Reaction (a browning effect. Heating honey results in a surge in the production of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), a toxic substance.

In humans, HMF can lead to many side effects such as cytotoxicity in the skin, mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. It can also result in chromosomal aberrations, mutagenicity and carcinogenicity in animals and humans. Also, HMF can weaken and damage the body’s epithelial protective layers in the intestinal tract and the lungs.

Honey Myths-What Not To Pair With Honey?

Ideally, honey should never be paired with certain foods such as ghee, fish, milk and oil as it can transform the elixir into a digestive nightmare.

  • Honey and Ghee together is a strict no-no as they collectively create an indigestible mass that can block “srotas” (body channels), fostering ama and metabolic chaos causing bloating and acidity. Ideally, you should use raw honey on cooled dishes and ghee for cooking.
  • Honey should not be paired with sesame oil or other oil variants that can amplify stickiness to clog digestion and produce heat, resulting in the aggravation of Pitta dosha.
  • Honey’s sattvic sweetness should not be clashed with fish’s heating, tamasic quality. A blend of both can result in skin issues, lethargy and indigestion while producing toxins and gas. If you are a seafood lover, it’s best to drizzle honey on salads, not curries.
  • Honey is also not advisable with hot milk as it can toxify honey and denature milk proteins. This can cause coughs or mucus build-up. Cold milk and honey may also not be a good choice as honey sugars and lactose may ferment, resulting in diarrhoea in sensitive stomachs.

Safe Ways To Enjoy Honey

You can consume 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey every day, unheated in warm (and not hot) water for digestion. Raw honey is best paired with non-fermenting fruits such as apples, herbs such as ginger and yogurt.

Honey should NOT be stored in metal utensils and MUST be stored in a dark and cool place. The use of honey should be made after observing a high sense of care and diligence for diabetics, during summer months and individuals with high Pitta.

He cited creative exhaustion and the need to return to basics as reasons for the decision.

Salman Khan’s name also surfaced during the discussion around Arijit’s retirement. Arijit’s final playback song “Maatrubhumi” was recorded for Salman’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan. This led many fans to revisit their past professional differences from 2014, which were publicly resolved in recent years.

Vadh 2 Review: ‘Neena Gupta Is Rock Solid, Sanjay Mishra Proves…’ Early Viewers Rave About The Film Amid Critics Labelling It Predictable Thriller

Vadh 2 Review - Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta

Vadh 2 Review: Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta are back on the big screen with Vadh 2, a slow-burning psychological thriller that has started strong conversations on its opening day. The film is released in theatres today and is already dividing opinion. While critics have pointed out its predictable narrative, early viewers are impressed by its performances and execution.

Directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 is a thematic sequel to the 2022 film Vadh. The story is new and fictional, but it stays rooted in the same moral question that defined the original. This time, the setting shifts to a high-security prison, giving the film a darker and more intense tone.

Although several reviews from major portals call the thriller predictable, audience reactions suggest that the film’s impact goes beyond twists and turns. Viewers are appreciating its layered storytelling, calm pacing and powerful climax.

Vadh 2 Review: Check What Early Viewers Said

Soon after the first shows, social media platforms were filled with detailed reactions. A viewer shared his Vadh 2 review and described it as a quiet but deeply effective film that stays with you long after it ends. He felt the slow-burn approach worked in the film’s favour, with the narrative unfolding gradually and becoming stronger with every passing scene.

He also highlighted the gripping first half, which builds tension confidently and ends on a strong pre-interval moment. The second half remains engaging and delivers a satisfying climax that feels earned rather than forced.

Sanjay Mishra has received widespread praise for his restrained and mature performance. Viewers believe he once again proves why he is among the finest actors in the industry. Neena Gupta has also been called rock-solid.

Supporting actors like Kumud Mishra, Akshay Dogra, Amit K Singh and Shilpa Shukla have been appreciated for staying true to the story. Yogita Bihani’s gentle screen presence has also caught attention. Many viewers credited director Jaspal Singh Sandhu for strong world-building, sharp character writing, and maintaining suspense till the final act.

About The Sequel

Vadh 2 focuses on the bond between a widowed prison guard, played by Sanjay Mishra, and a life-term inmate, portrayed by Neena Gupta. Their quiet routine is disrupted when a powerful and notorious prisoner goes missing. The incident pushes them into a tense moral situation where survival, justice, and conscience collide.

The film reunites Mishra and Gupta, whose chemistry remains the emotional core of the story. Manav Kaul appears as an investigating officer, while Saurabh Shukla plays a key supporting role. The film is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajeev Barnwal, who maintain the gritty realism of the original.

Made on a modest budget of around Rs 15–20 crore, Vadh 2 focuses on atmosphere and performances rather than scale. Critics from Cinema Express, India Today, India TV News and Times Now News have pointed out predictability in the plot, though some also acknowledged the film’s strong climax.

Despite mixed critical reviews, early audience response suggests that Vadh 2 is a film that rewards patience and leaves a lasting impression.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 14: Sunny Deol Starrer Fails To Enter Rs 300 Cr Club As It Wraps 2nd Week, Earns 56% Less Than Dhurandhar

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 14 - Sunny Deol

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 14: Sunny Deol’s war drama Border 2 opened strongly at the box office and created high expectations in its first few days. The film benefited from nostalgia, a patriotic theme and a multi-starrer cast. Many believed it could deliver a massive run similar to recent blockbusters.

However, after completing two weeks in cinemas, Border 2 has fallen short of a major milestone. Despite a solid start, the film failed to enter the Rs 300 crore club by Day 14. This slowdown has raised concerns about its long-term box office performance.

The Republic Day holiday played a key role in boosting early numbers. The extended weekend helped collections surge as audiences turned up in large numbers. At one stage, the film looked capable of matching the pace of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. But once the holiday effect wore off, collections began to dip steadily.

From the second week onwards, Border 2 slipped into single-digit daily earnings. Even though it was not seriously affected by Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3, the film could not maintain consistent momentum. Audience interest dropped compared to the opening week, and the film missed an important box office mark by the end of its second week.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 14

The Sunny Deol-led film ended its first week with a strong Rs 224.25 crore collection. The second weekend brought some support, with Rs 17.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.5 crore on Sunday. However, weekday numbers clearly showed fatigue.

On the second Monday, Border 2 earned Rs 5.75 crore. It repeated the same figure on Tuesday. Collections dipped further on Wednesday to Rs 4.15 crore. On Thursday (Day 14), the downward trend continued, with the film earning just Rs 3.35 crore.

After 14 days, Border 2 stands at a total of Rs 294.25 crore at the Indian box office. This means the film narrowly missed entering the Rs 300 crore club as it wrapped up its second week in theatres.

The comparison with Dhurandhar highlights the gap even more. Ranveer Singh’s film collected Rs 460.5 crore in its first two weeks. In contrast, Border 2 has earned around 56% less, showing a clear difference in audience response and box office strength.

Despite these numbers, Border 2 is still a commercial success. However, trade experts feel it has underperformed when measured against expectations. The film had strong advantages, including sequel value, a patriotic storyline, and a star cast featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Yet, it has not entered the list of the top 10 highest-grossing films of all time so far.

The current week remains relatively clear for the film, with no major new releases. However, attention may shift next week as Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo hits cinemas.

About The Film

Released on January 23, Border 2 is a spiritual successor to the 1997 classic Border. Instead of focusing only on the Battle of Longewala, the sequel explores multiple fronts of the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and JP Films, the film follows Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, played by Sunny Deol. The story shows him mentoring three young officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Real-life war events, emotional family moments, and tribute cameos by Suniel Shetty and Akshaye Khanna connect the film to the legacy of the original.

T20 World Cup Boycott: U-Turn Alert! Ex-BCCI Boss Tips Pakistan To Reverse Stance

T20 World Cup Boycott: A former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selector has predicted that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would make a U-turn on its decision to boycott the ICC T20 World Cup game against arch-rivals India in Colombo on February 15, 2026.

Chetan Sharma Predicts T20 World Cup Boycott U-Turn By Pakistan

A bold prediction was made by former BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma. The ex-selector claimed that the Pakistani board would make a boycott after February 12. Sharma went on to even predict content of the PCB’s reversal statement.

The remarks of Chetan Sharma came after Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, confirmed that their country’s players would participate in the T20 World Cup but would not be playing the February 15 match against India.

PCB’s Reversal Statement Predicted

Sharma said that Pakistan’s decision is politically driven and added that the PCB reversal statement would be something like India brought politics to the game and throw out Bangladesh despite no fault of their players and board. Sharma added that the PCB statement would further say that Pakistan will play against India considering public sentiment. He went on to remark that PCB and Sharif would say that Pakistan has decided to keep cricket out of politics.

The former Indian fast bowler also commented that Pakistani players suffer the most amid the chaos surrounding the India Pakistan match. Sharma said he was surprised that Pakistan has not formally communicated its decision to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistani PM’s decision does not matter till then.

Ticket sales for the India-Pakistan match have been halted by the ICC amid uncertainty. The marquee clash has been unlisted as of now and the world governing body of cricket wants to avoid financial and logistical risks.

Sri Ganganagar News: “We Are Deeply Ashamed” Uncle Of Husband-Killer Woman Who Fell For Wedding Function Waiter Reveals BIG

Sri Ganganagar News

Sri Ganganagar News: The gruesome murder of Ashish, a 27-year-old man from Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar, by his 23-year-old wife Anjali has been condemned by members of both families.

The brutal murder reminds the country of the infamous Sonam Raghuvanshi honeymoon murder case in which the wife conspired with his boyfriend to kill her husband during their honeymoon.

Ankit, a cousin of Ashish, remarked that he and his wife along with Anjali and Ashish went for a casual walk. He said Ashish dropped him and his wife home and took the route where Sanju, the boyfriend of Anjali, along with his accomplices was waiting to murder Ashish.

Ashish was adopted by his aunt and uncle as they had no son of their own. The adoptive mother of Ashish arranged his marriage with her niece Anjali.

Reaction Of Anjali’s Uncle

An uncle of Anjali commented that their entire family is devastated and ashamed to learn about the manner in which Anjali conspired to kill her husband after just 3 months of marriage. The uncle commented that they are connected with the family of Ashish for more than 50 years. He said two of his sisters are married into the family of Ashish. The uncle added that the family had absolutely no idea about the affair of Anjali with Sanju, a waiter for caterers during weddings and other kinds of functions.

The uncle went on to say that it does not make sense why Anjali decided to murder Ashish, recalling seeing many fancy cars during their wedding. Neighbours also expressed shock and surprise as to why Anjali choose Sanju over Ashish even though Sanju was not educated and barely made ends meet.

Reaction Of Ashish’s Father

Ramrakh, the father of Ashish, said Anjali should be given the death penalty. He added that the family of Anjali also wanted the same legal treatment for their daughter.

Rohit Shetty Firing Case: ‘Prove Nahi Ho Paya Hai…’ Advocate Of Accused Men On Claims Of Link With Shubham Lonkar

Rohit Shetty House Firing Case Update

Rohit Shetty Firing Case: Mumbai’s Esplanade Court has sent all five accused in the firing incident outside Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence to police custody till February 11, 2026. The court cited the seriousness of the crime and the need to investigate a possible criminal conspiracy.

The incident took place when assailants allegedly fired four rounds outside Rohit Shetty’s house. Soon after the firing, Mumbai Police arrested four accused on February 1. A fifth accused was arrested later and produced before the court along with the others.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court granted six days of police custody. The judge noted that the case appeared to be well-planned and required a detailed investigation. The court also allowed joint interrogation, saying custodial questioning was necessary at this stage.

During the hearing, police told the court that a social media post claiming responsibility for the firing had gone viral. Investigators also said the accused used the Signal app to communicate secretly. Police added that efforts are on to recover deleted chats, especially those allegedly linked to Shubham Lonkar.

Rohit Shetty Firing Case: Defence Says No Link With Shubham Lonkar

The defence strongly opposed the police claims. Advocate Ajinkya Mirgal, who is representing the second, third and fourth accused along with Advocate Archana Mane, told Aaj Tak that the prosecution failed to prove any direct or indirect connection between the accused and Shubham Lonkar.

He said, “Adalat mein sarkari paksh koi bhi direct connection establish nahi kar paaya. Police ne bataya ki social media par ek post viral hui thi jismein Shubham Lonkar aur in logon ke naam the. Lekin us post ko lekar abhi investigation chal rahi hai. Police ka kehna hai ki in bachchon ka koi direct ya indirect connection abhi tak prove nahi ho paaya hai. Sirf yeh bataya gaya ki wo ek area mein reh chuke honge. Defence ka kehna hai ki unka kisi ke saath koi direct ya indirect connection nahi hai.”

The police asked for maximum custody of the four accused arrested earlier. They also sought 10 days’ custody for the fifth accused (Asaram Fasle alias Babu), claiming he played an important role in the case.

Appearing for the first accused, his lawyer argued that his client was not present at the spot when the firing happened. The advocate said the arrest was based only on circumstantial evidence and stressed that no link with Shubham Lonkar had been established.

The defence lawyers representing the other three accused also argued that their alleged role was limited. They said police findings so far only suggested involvement in providing a vehicle. Based on this, they requested judicial custody instead of further police remand.

Weapon Supply Angle Emerges in Investigation

In a key development, the Mumbai Crime Branch’s Anti-Extortion Cell arrested another accused on Thursday. Police identified him as Asaram Fasle alias Babu and claimed he supplied the weapon used in the firing.

Police said, “The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Anti-Extortion Cell has arrested Asaram Fasle alias Babu in connection with the firing incident at Bollywood director Rohit Shetty‘s residence. He was responsible for supplying the weapon used in the firing.”

With multiple arrests, claims of secret communication and disputed links, the Rohit Shetty firing case remains under intense investigation as police continue to probe the alleged conspiracy.

Why the India–US Trade Deal Is a Wake-Up Call for Bangladesh?

India US Trade Deal: The India–US trade deal goes beyond tariffs, strengthening ties in manufacturing, technology, and supply chains. As the US favors India as a key partner, Bangladesh faces rising competition and risks losing trade leverage, especially in garment exports.

Bangladesh’s Economic Anxiety: What’s at Stake?

Bangladesh’s economy depends significantly on preferential access to the US and European markets. With India potentially gaining improved trade terms and stronger supply chain integration with the US, Dhaka worries about:

  • Reduced export competitiveness
  • Slower foreign direct investment inflows
  • Pressure on the ready-made garment industry
  • Marginalisation in future regional trade frameworks

Yunus Government’s Rush to Washington

The Yunus government’s outreach to the US is being seen as a damage-control mission. Officials are reportedly pushing for:

  • Better trade concessions

India has stepped up its global trade strategy following the conclusion of negotiations on a landmark Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union, marking one of the most ambitious trade expansions in its recent economic history. With the EU deal setting the tone, New Delhi is now advancing six other key trade agreements aimed at boosting exports, securing critical minerals, and reducing exposure to global tariff shocks.

India–EU FTA Sets a New Benchmark

The India–EU FTA, finalised at the 2026 summit, is expected to be formally signed later this year and come into force in 2027 after ratification. Once implemented, the agreement will eliminate or sharply reduce tariffs on nearly all traded goods—covering over 96% of EU exports to India and close to 99% of Indian exports to the EU. This is expected to significantly expand bilateral trade, currently valued at around $136 billion annually, while strengthening investment and supply-chain integration.

Six Trade Deals Move Into Focus

Building on the EU breakthrough, India is actively negotiating or concluding trade agreements with Oman, Peru, Chile, New Zealand, Israel, and Qatar. Each deal targets a specific strategic need—from expanding India’s footprint in the Gulf region to gaining access to critical minerals used in clean energy, electronics, and electric vehicles.

Talks with Oman have been completed, though the signing awaits procedural clearances. Negotiations with Peru and Chile focus heavily on securing mineral supply chains, while advanced discussions with New Zealand aim to diversify Indian exports. Separate agreements with Israel and Qatar are expected to broaden trade in goods, services, and technology, with Qatar targeting a sharp rise in bilateral trade by the end of the decade.

Shielding Against Global Trade Pressures

These FTAs are part of a broader effort to counter rising protectionism and tariff pressures, particularly from major economies. By diversifying markets and lowering trade barriers, India aims to reduce reliance on any single region while strengthening its negotiating position globally.
