Sant Samaj lauds Bhagwant Govt for grand arrangements to mark 649th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji

The Sant Samaj on Friday lauded the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for making elaborate and unprecedented arrangements to commemorate the 649th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, expressing deep appreciation for celebrating the sacred occasion with reverence and dignity.

Addressing the gathering during the state-level function organised at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, Sant Nirmal Das Ji Jaure Wale said, “The Guru Ravidass Ji Sadhu Samparda Society extends its congratulations to the state government, particularly to CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, for making extensive arrangements for the Parkash Purb.

He said, “On behalf of the entire Sant Samaj, I express special thanks to the Chief Minister for outlining comprehensive events at a broad level dedicated to the Prakash Purb.” He recalled that Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji spent more than four years in devotion at Khuralgarh, sanctifying this sacred land, and said it was a matter of immense pride that the Punjab government is celebrating the 649th Prakash Purb at the same land with full reverence.

Sant Pradeep Das Ji of Dera Ballan termed the occasion historic and said that on the auspicious occasion of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji’s Prakash Purb, the Chief Minister, along with the entire Cabinet and Members of Parliament, had arrived at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib to offer their devotion and respect. “It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that the Punjab government has provided 10 acres of land near Dera Ballan to establish the Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Bani Adhyayan Kendra, for which we are grateful to the government,” he said.

He also lauded the state government for these initiatives, stating that such steps would go a long way in perpetuating the glorious legacy of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji.

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, in his address, said that under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has outlined a year-long series of events to mark the upcoming 650th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, which formally commenced on Friday. He said, “As part of these events, the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji will be propagated in every nook and corner of the state.”

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Chief Minister has constituted a Cabinet sub-committee for these programmes, headed by him, and added that he would discharge this responsibility with full dedication.

Earlier, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond welcomed the gathering and said that the state government remains committed to preserving and passing on the glorious heritage of Punjab to future generations.

Punjab Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Jai Kishan Rori thanked the Chief Minister for launching the year-long events marking the 649th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji from the sacred land of Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, which forms part of his Assembly constituency.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister and the entire Cabinet joined the Sangat to perform Ardas after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Paath Sahib. The Chief Minister and members of the Cabinet also paid obeisance at the Tap Asthan of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib.

Recently, AIIMS doctor Priyanka Sehrawat shared some crucial advice on managing uric acid levels naturally. Understanding what increases and what helps lower it can make a huge difference to your health.

High Uric Acid: Myths About Protein And Purines

Many people believe that eating a high-protein diet automatically raises uric acid. However, Dr Sehrawat clarified in her latest Instagram video that this is not true. She said, “A high-protein diet does not increase uric acid. Purines, which are found in proteins, help in metabolism and maintaining energy levels.”

While proteins and purines are essential for energy and cell function, excessive uric acid in the body can be dangerous. It can cause kidney stones, joint inflammation and gout. Swelling often occurs in the joints, especially the big toe, causing severe pain. Therefore, managing it becomes necessary once it starts forming.

Foods To Avoid And Include

According to Dr Sehrawat, certain foods can raise levels and should be avoided if you already have high uric acid. These include:

  • Red meat and processed meats
  • Alcohol, especially beer
  • Processed and packaged foods
  • Some lentils like toor dal (pigeon pea) and arhar dal

On the other hand, certain dietary choices can help control naturally. Vitamin C-rich foods are particularly helpful. Dr Sehrawat recommends including:

  • Amla (Indian gooseberry)
  • Mosambi (sweet lime)
  • Other citrus fruits

In addition to dietary changes, staying hydrated is critical. Drinking plenty of water helps flush uric acid from the body and reduces the risk of kidney stones. Of course, if you have heart or kidney conditions, consult a doctor before increasing water intake.

By avoiding the above-mentioned foods and focusing on natural remedies, you can manage your uric acid effectively and prevent complications. Awareness and small lifestyle changes go a long way in protecting your joints, kidneys and overall health.

Aviation Audit: Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol presented figures from recent aviation audit. It was disclosed that more than 7 out of 10 aircraft in the fleet of Air India experienced recurring technical defects.

Aviation Audit Data

The data revealed that 191 out of 267 Air India aircrafts were found to be struggling with repeated faults during checks conducted since January last year. The data revealed that 54 out of 101 Air India Express aircrafts and 137 out of 166 Air India planes were identified as those with repeated issues.

Since January last year, 754 aircraft from six scheduled airlines (IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, Alliance Air, Air India and Air India Express) were analyzed and 377 were flagged for repeated defects.

As of February 3, 148 out of 405 analyzed IndiGo aircraft were identified as having repetitive defects. The data also revealed that 16 out of 43 SpiceJet aircrafts that were analyzed were identified for repeated defects. In contrast, 14 out of 32 Akasa Air’s aircraft were flagged out.

DGCA’s Stance On Safety Oversight

The government also shared details on the oversight actions of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Last year, DGCA conducted 3,890 surveillance inspections. Out of them, DGCA conducted 492 ramp inspections, 56 regulatory audits and 84 foreign aircraft (SOFA) examinations. The DGCA also performed 874 spot checks and 550 night surveillance scrutinises as part of an unplanned oversight.

The Union Government also disclosed that the count of sanctioned technical posts in DGCA has been raised to 1,063 now from 637 in 2022.

Now comes the big question – how safe is flying in India? This year, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was among many who were killed after their Learjet 45 crashed in Baramati.  On 12 June 2025, 242 people were killed after the Air India Boeing 787 carrying them crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

In the latest episode of Shark Tank India 5, Delhi entrepreneur Shivraj Sharma introduced a unique solution for chronic pain. His Ayurvedic product (based on a natural extract called CBD) promises long-term relief without the need for conventional painkillers.

Shivraj (founder of Wholeleaf) pitched his company to the Sharks, seeking Rs 50 lakh for 2.1% equity, valuing the startup at Rs 23.8 crore. The product uses cannabinoids from the Vijaya plant and is presented as a government-licensed, clinically validated solution that targets the root causes of pain rather than just masking symptoms.

In his pitch, Shivraj explained the widespread problem of chronic pain in Indian households. He said, “India ke har ghar mein ek aisa bin bulae mehmaan hai jo nikalne ka naam hi nahi leta aur uska naam hai Chronic Pain. True kabhi arthritis banke joints tod deta hai to kabhi menstrual pain banke cramp deta hai, kabhi peeth dard bankar peeth tod deta hai to kabhi headache aur migraine ke roop mein aakar aapka dimaag kharab kar deta hai. Sirf aur aise mein hum kya karte hain, ya to hum ise fight karne ki koshish karte hain, ya phir pain killers ke through ek temporary eviction notice bhej dete hain. Aur phir kuch hi time mein dard wapas aur pain killers ke side effects alag.”

He added, “Toh sharks, ab time aa gaya hai ek long-term pain solution ka. Hamara hero ingredient hai, viz plant se nikla ek natural extract jiska naam hai CBD. Globally clinically validated hai, clinically proven hai apni strong anti-inflammatory aur pain relieving properties ke liye, jo pain ko sirf naam nahi karti balki pain ke root cause par action leti hai without any risk, long term side effects ke saath.”

Shivraj shared that his personal motivation came from his aunt’s cancer treatment, where CBD helped her manage pain. He clarified that while the cannabis bud is classified as a narcotic in India, the leaves used in his product have low THC and are legally allowed for medicinal use, procured under strict government licensing.

Sharks Impressed By Evidence-Based Approach

The Sharks were intrigued by Shivraj’s clinical trials. Namita Thapar noted that 13 trials had already been conducted, with two involving 50–75 patients each, and praised the evidence-based approach. The legal and scientific clarity reassured the investors about the product’s legitimacy and safety.

After discussions, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar and Kanika Tekriwal struck a deal, investing Rs 1.5 crore for 7.5% equity, valuing Wholeleaf at Rs 20 crore. Shivraj’s natural, painkiller-free solution has now gained both validation and funding to expand its reach.

The state government said the changes are part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen land governance and protect the rights of farmers, small landholders and genuine buyers. Officials added that special attention will be given to sensitive areas, including urban expansion zones and regions prone to land disputes.

To ensure effective implementation, district magistrates have been asked to regularly review land-related cases and submit compliance reports. Delhi News: On Thursday, headlines across the state of Delhi shook the residents. It was claimed that more than 500 women were among 800 missing people in the state of Delhi in just the first 15 days of 2026.

It was claimed by social media handles that more than 807 people went missing in Delhi in the first 15 days of January 2026, averaging about 54 missing cases a day. It was also claimed that 509 of them were girls and women and 298 were men. The social media handles also claimed that 191 were minors.

The Delhi Police has now claimed that the reports of a massive surge in the missing people cases are misleading in nature. Delhi Police issued a stern warning to anyone who misleads people in the state for their paid movie promotional campaigns.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malvya has remarked now that the claim that many children are going missing from Delhi is all about promoting a Hindi film. Malviya added that Delhi Police would be investigating the case and punish the culprits.

Though Malviya didn’t name any film, the video shared by him associated the reports to the Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani 3. The movie’s story revolves around cases of mass disappearances. The movie makers have not commented on these allegations till date; they have neither acknowledged or denied any PR attempt.

Rajya Sabha member Milind Deora made a post on X saying that he had a word with the Commissioner of Mumbai Police and he vehemently denied the claims of missing children.

Deora added that FIRs have been registered against the social media handles that have been propogating the false claims. Deora asked Delhi Police to take similar actions against those who are spreading false claims just to promote their movie.

Indian Railways: A record number of more than 1,410 special trains on the occasion of Holi have been announced by Indian Railways. The count is likely to increase to around 1,500 services during the month of March.

Last year, Indian Railways operated 1,144 special train trips nationwide.

Indian Railways-Why An Increase In The Count Of Special Trains?

Indian Railways would introduce Holi special trains to manage the anticipated increase in passenger demand. The East Central Railway (ECR) would operate the highest count of Holi special trains (285 trains) followed by Western Railway (231 trains), Central Railway (208 trains), Northern Railway (108 trains) and South Central Railways (160 trains).

The North Central Railway (66 trains), East Coast Railway and North Eastern Railway (62 trains each) and North Western Railway (71 trains) would also work to delight travellers who visit their hometowns during the festival. Furthermore, West Central Railway (43 trains), Southern Railway (39 trains) and South Western Railways (47 trains) would also be working to ensure everyone travels with a confirmed ticket.

About Holi

India would gear up for Holi 2026 on March 3-4. The festival of colours promises vibrant celebrations as it marks the triumph of good over evil. Rooted in Hindu mythology, Holi commemorates the playful antics of Lord Krishna with Radha Rani Ji and the gopis in Mathura and Vrindavan. Another legend recalls the fiery demise of Holika while killing Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, teaching that devotion prevails. The festival is marked by throwing gulal (coloured powders), splashing water, and savoring gujiya sweets.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Young prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi has entered into the record books by smashing 175 runs off just 80 balls in the ICC U-19 World Cup Final 2026 against England in Harare.

The 14-year-old Suryavanshi keep the fielders and scorekeepers occupied and running for covers by scoring 15 sixers and 15 fours in an inning that mesmerized everyone at the stadium or glued to the television.

Suryavanshi now holds the amazing record for the fastest century by a batsman in the final of a U-19 World Cup. Suryavanshi also became the first batter in the history of U-19 World Cup to score 150 or more in a summit clash.

A Telly chakkar report claims that Elvish Yadav was approached for a guest entry but declined due to prior commitments. Sources say the makers may be saving his entry for a more dramatic moment, possibly closer to the finale.

There is no official confirmation yet, and neither the show’s team nor Elvish has commented. Fans are speculating that a surprise entry could increase tension, especially given Elvish’s huge fan following and online influence.

Even without being in the house, Elvish’s name came up during a recent task. Contestant Maxtern made sharp remarks targeting him and his circle.

Maxtern said, “Mai nahi chahta… uska maalik bahar jaake 4-5 reality shows mein yeh bole ki Maxtern ke thappad maar ke followers badhaye hain. Even his closest friends do not have a million followers.”

The drama continued on the February 6 episode when Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shiv Thakre and Nikki Tamboli’s boyfriend Arbaz Patel clashed during the Alarm Clock Task. Other contestants like Mr Faisu, Prince Narula and Lovekesh Katariya were left shocked.

Shiv said, “Zubaan se khelne ka touch kiya na.” He challenged them, “Agar khelna hai to samne aao ..fans keliye khelke dikhate hain.” Nikki replied, “I want you out, and I’ll do that for sure. That’s my challenge.”

Ghooskhor Pandat: The upcoming film of Neeraj Pandey to be telecast on Netflix starring Manoj Bajpayee has sparked a massive social and political controversy after its teaser released. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Hazratganj Police Station in Lucknow against Neeraj Pandey, the director of Ghooskhor Pandat, and the team, citing social harmony concerns.

Title of the film has been sharply criticized on X and Instagram, with many calling it as “disgusting, defamatory and derogatory” towards the Brahmin community.

Ghooskhor Pandat-Legal Challenges Ahead

An FIR has been filed against Neeraj Pandey and a petition is pending before the Delhi High Court. Pandey issued a clarification and remarked that the movie team has pulled down all promotions in the wake of the controversy.

The High Court petition claimed that the word “Pandat” defames the whole Brahmin community as the word “Pandat” is linked in the movie title with bribery and corruption.

Advocate Vineet Jindal submitted that no form of creative freedom under Article 19 (1) (a) allows defamation, hate speech or content disturbing social harmony. The petition also urged the Union Government to ensure strict regulations are in place for preventing material that may harm communal peace.

A separate legal notice has been sent by Mumbai-based lawyer Ashutosh Dubey to the movie’s producers and Netflix.

Reaction Of Manoj Bajpayee

Actor Manoj Bajpayee posted a clarification on X saying the portrayal of the lead character or the film does not mean a statement about any community. Bajpayee, who plays the role of a morally compromised and corrupt police officer named Ajay Dikshit, said he has respect for public sentiment.

Earlier, a notice was issued by the Film Makers Combine that the makers had not obtained the required mandatory title approval as mandatory under industry regulations. The body warned that Pandey didn’t applied for permission to use Ghooskhor Pandat as the movie title.
