Harish Rana: The story of Harish Rana, who remained in a coma for 13 years, brought this issue into the public eye. It forced people to question an important truth: Is life only about survival, or does dignity matter equally?

The 13-Year Coma Story of Harish Rana

Harish Rana fell into a coma due to a serious medical condition and remained unconscious for 13 years, fully dependent on life support. His family faced years of emotional and financial struggle with no signs of recovery.

The Case That First Changed India’s Perspective

Before this, India had already witnessed a landmark case involving Aruna Shanbaug. Her case reached the Supreme Court of India, which made a historic decision to allow passive euthanasia under strict guidelines. This judgment marked a turning point in India’s legal and social approach to end-of-life care.

What is Euthanasia?

Euthanasia refers to ending a person’s life to relieve them from extreme suffering, especially when recovery is not possible.

It is generally considered in situations where:

  • A person is in a permanent coma
  • The illness is terminal
  • Life is sustained only through machines

Active Euthanasia

Active euthanasia involves taking direct action to end a person’s life. Because it directly causes death, it raises serious ethical and legal concerns.

Passive Euthanasia

Passive euthanasia means allowing a person to die naturally by withdrawing or withholding medical treatment.

Difference Between Active and Passive Euthanasia

  • Active euthanasia directly causes death, while passive euthanasia allows death to occur naturally.
  • Active euthanasia is illegal in India, whereas passive euthanasia is legally permitted under specific guidelines.

How Harish Rana’s Case Changed Perspectives?

Harish Rana’s prolonged coma made people reflect on the meaning of life and dignity. It highlighted the emotional and financial burden faced by families. It also showed the limitations of medical science.

The success of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge has become one of the biggest talking points in Bollywood right now. The film is doing record business at the box office, and many celebrities are praising director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh for the grand spy thriller. However, actress Ameesha Patel’s strong reaction to the film has started a new debate on social media, with fans divided over her comments.

In the last few days, several stars like Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu have spoken about the film and praised its scale and storytelling. The sequel was released on March 19 and is already racing towards the Rs 600 crore mark even before finishing its first week. Amid all the praise, Ameesha Patel’s post about the film and the industry grabbed the most attention online.

What Ameesha Said About Dhurandhar 2

Ameesha Patel shared her reaction on Tuesday evening on her X account and called Dhurandhar 2 an eye-opening moment for the Hindi film industry. She said the film deserves the appreciation it is getting and added that the makers focused on creating a proper film instead of treating it like a marketing project.

She also said that director Aditya Dhar chose actors for their talent and suitability for the role rather than picking social media stars who stay in the news because of parties and trends. According to her, the industry should learn from this and focus more on real filmmaking, strong performances, and honest storytelling.

Ameesha wrote, “Eye opener. Industry Praising DHURANDHAR is wow and the brand deserves all the accolades. Industry needs to realise that ADITYA made a film and not a project, casted actors and not Instagrammers who trend at parties. Stop making projects and start making films.”

Many users agreed with Ameesha and said she spoke the truth about the industry. Some fans felt that good casting and strong direction are the real reasons behind the success of Dhurandhar 2. One user wrote, “Brutal and best post till date I have seen on this movie…Very true..some big producers think we cast paparazzi actors with huge following zero acting skills can guarantee the success.”

Another commented, “She is not wrong.”

At the same time, several people also trolled the actress for her blunt words. One user joked, “Ananya Panday ne tumhara kya bigada.”

Another wrote, “Are you fine? Or do you need burnol too?”

A different user quipped, “Agli film me nhi lenge apko Aditya Dhar ji.”

About The Film And Its Casting

Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is a high-budget spy thriller that continues the story of undercover agent Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh. In the film, Hamza enters the criminal world of Karachi to break terror networks and faces dangerous enemies, including Major Iqbal played by Arjun Rampal and the mysterious Bade Sahab.

The film has a long runtime of 229 minutes and features a big cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Akshaye Khanna. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra focused on choosing actors who fit the roles perfectly instead of only looking at star power. Reports say many actors were tested for each role, and more than 1300 auditions were taken for the female lead.

Because of this detailed work, the film has connected strongly with the audience. After the success of the first part, the sequel has become even bigger and is already close to the Rs 600 crore mark, making Dhurandhar 2 one of the biggest hits of the year.

Chaitra Navratri 2026 Day 7: Feeling Constant Stress Or Fear At Home? Astrologer Tells How To Seek Protection From Maa Kalaratri

Chaitra Navratri 2026 Day 7: Navratri is a time of devotion, spiritual cleansing, and invoking the divine energy of Goddess Durga. By the seventh day of Chaitra Navratri 2026, many devotees may feel the need for extra protection at home, especially if stress, fear, or unexplained obstacles seem to appear repeatedly. This is the day dedicated to Maa Kalaratri, a fierce yet protective form of the goddess, whose worship can remove negativity and bring peace to your household.

Chaitra Navratri 2026 Day 7: Worshipping Maa Kalaratri

Maa Kalaratri is the seventh form of Goddess Durga, worshipped for her unparalleled strength and protective powers. Her name comes from Kala (time or death) and Ratri (night), symbolising her role as the destroyer of darkness. Despite her terrifying appearance with a dark complexion, dishevelled hair and three blazing eyes, she is also called Shubhankari (the one who grants auspicious results and shields devotees from evil forces).

The legend of Maa Kalaratri tells of her battle against the demon Raktabeej, who had a fearsome boon: each drop of his blood that touched the ground created a new demon. To stop this, Goddess Parvati took the fierce form of Kalaratri. She captured Raktabeej’s blood in a vessel and drank it, preventing the birth of new demons and restoring peace and dharma to the world.

How To Seek Protection From Maa Kalaratri

In a video shared on YouTube channel of Jyotish Ratan Kendra, an astrologer says that if negativity persists at home, stress arises without reason, tasks keep getting stuck or children suddenly feel fear, it may indicate the presence of the evil eye or negative energies. Worshipping Maa Kalaratri on the seventh day can help protect your family and home. Here’s how devotees can perform the ritual:

  1. Light a mustard oil lamp in front of Maa Kalaratri’s idol or image.
  2. Chant the mantra “Om Devi Kalaratray Namah” at least once using a mala (rosary).
  3. Place a small lamp at the main entrance of the house with black sesame seeds and cloves.
  4. Recite the Durga Chalisa at night if possible.
  5. Burn camphor afterwards to remove the evil eye and negative energies from the entire family.

By following these steps, devotees can invite positive energy, eliminate fear and obstacles and create a protective shield for their home. Maa Kalaratri’s blessings not only guard against evil spirits but also restore harmony, courage and spiritual strength during Chaitra Navratri 2026.

Malvinder Kang’s remarks on Finance Bill 2026: Many Hollow Claims, But Ground Reality Tells a Different Story

Malvinder Kang

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang launched a scathing attack on the Union Government while speaking on the Finance Bill 2026, stating that the government’s claims of economic strength and reforms over the last decade stand completely disconnected from the ground reality.

Kang said that while the Finance Minister has made tall claims about economic progress, the real picture of the country’s economy is deeply concerning. “If we look at the last ten years, inflation is at one of the highest levels in the country’s history, and the Indian Rupee has weakened drastically, crossing alarming level of 90 against the US Dollar. The same people who once promised petrol at ₹60 have now pushed prices beyond ₹100, with diesel also becoming increasingly expensive,” he said.

Highlighting the plight of farmers, Kang said that the promise of doubling farmers’ income has completely failed. “In the last decade, instead of income doubling, input costs have doubled or even tripled. From pesticides to fertilizers, everything has become costlier, pushing farmers into deeper distress,” he added.

He further pointed out the stark contrast between macroeconomic claims and individual prosperity. “We are told India is among the top five economies in the world, but our per capita income ranking has slipped to 142. Poverty is increasing, and inequality is widening,” Kang said.

Raising the issue of corporate favoritism, Kang alleged that loans worth over ₹16 lakh crore of big corporates have been written off as NPAs, while farmers continue to struggle even for Minimum Support Price (MSP) guarantees. “This clearly shows who the government stands with,” he remarked.

Kang also strongly criticized the Agniveer scheme, calling it a blow to the youth of the country. “Young people who once prepared to serve the nation in the armed forces are now left uncertain about their future. This policy has pushed many towards frustration and gangsterism,” he said, adding that regions like Haryana are witnessing a worrying trend where unemployed youth are drifting in the wrong direction.

On international trade, Kang raised serious concerns about the India-US trade discussions and their potential impact on Indian farmers. “This deal is a direct attack on the livelihood of our farmers, especially those involved in dairy, apple farming in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, and maize producers. Instead of strengthening our agricultural backbone, the government is exposing farmers to unfair global competition,” he warned.

He also highlighted the issue of cross-border trade through Punjab. “Trade worth thousands of crores continues through Mumbai-Karachi routes benefiting big corporates, but the Amritsar-Lahore (Wagah Border) trade route remains shut. If opened, it can transform the economic condition of farmers across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana,” Kang said. “The reason it remains closed is clear, because it would empower ordinary farmers instead of big corporate houses.”

Taking on the government over social security, Kang criticized the lack of any concrete step towards restoring the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). “There is no provision to ensure post-retirement security for employees. The government has failed to provide stability to the common man’s future,” he said.

He further alleged that the weakening of welfare schemes like MGNREGA has severely impacted rural livelihoods. “MGNREGA was a lifeline for millions of labourers, but its dilution has taken away basic income security from the poorest sections,” Kang stated.

Summing up his remarks, Kang said, “Scrapping MGNREGA is an attack on labourers, the Agniveer scheme is an attack on youth and employment, and trade policies like the India-US deal are an attack on farmers’ livelihoods. The country cannot move forward on the basis of media narratives and hollow claims. Real development will only happen when the farmer who feeds the nation, youth who protects the borders, and the worker who builds the economy are secured and empowered.”

Punjab’s Youngest Beneficiary, 1-Year-Old Child Receives Life-Saving Care Under Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna

Punjab News

With a growing number of newborns and young children accessing treatment under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, the Punjab Government under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is ensuring that medical care begins without delay during critical moments.

In Sri Muktsar Sahib, a 1-year-old child, Khwaish, was admitted with pneumonia requiring urgent medical attention. In many such cases earlier, families would have had to arrange funds, complete documentation, or wait for approvals before treatment could begin. However, under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, that gap has been removed.

With the Sehat Card already in place, treatment was initiated immediately at Deep Hospital under Dr. Monika Garg, without any upfront payment. The family did not have to arrange money or go through verification steps, allowing doctors to begin treatment at a critical time. In cases involving young children, even short delays can lead to complications, but immediate access to treatment ensured that the child received timely care and recovered safely.

Similar instances are being reported from districts such as Sangrur and Mansa, where newborns requiring specialised care, including treatment for low birth weight and other critical conditions, are receiving medical attention under the scheme without financial barriers. The increasing number of such cases reflects how access to treatment is becoming faster and more seamless for families across Punjab.

Highlighting the impact of the scheme, Punjab Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Balbir Singh said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna ensures that treatment is not delayed by financial or administrative hurdles. In cases like this, where a young child required urgent care, even a short delay can have serious consequences. The scheme removes that risk entirely.”

The scheme provides cashless health coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually, enabling access to treatment across empanelled government and private hospitals. With more than 26 lakh Sehat Cards already issued, patients are accessing treatment at over 900 empanelled hospitals, supported by more than 2,300 medical packages.

The growing number of newborn and child cases being treated under the scheme reflects a shift towards faster, more accessible healthcare delivery, where treatment begins without financial hesitation. The Punjab Government continues to encourage residents to enrol for the Sehat Card at designated centres to avail cashless treatment benefits under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna.

Citing historical achievements, the Chief Minister noted, “Balbir Singh Senior and Udham Singh won three Olympic gold medals each and Ajit Pal Singh led India to its only Hockey World Cup victory in 1975.”

He added, “Legends like Prithipal Singh, Surjit Singh, Harcharan Singh and Surinder Singh Sodhi emerged from Punjab, and villages like Sansarpur, Khusropur and Mithapur have produced over 20 Olympians.” He further said, “In Tokyo Olympics 2021, India won a bronze medal after 41 years, with 9 Punjabi players led by Manpreet Singh.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “In Paris Olympics 2024, India again won bronze, with 10 Punjabi players where Harmanpreet Singh was captain and top scorer.”

Detailing the upcoming tournament, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Teams from India, Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia and China will participate in this mega event.” He added, “Punjab will showcase its culture through Bhangra and Giddha before matches and this event will inspire youth participation in hockey.”

He further stated, “In 2023 Asian Games, Punjab athletes won 20 medals, which is a historic record.” He added, “Olympic bronze medalists (Paris 2024) were awarded ₹1 crore each and Asian Games gold medalists also received ₹1 crore each.”

Calling sports a powerful social tool, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Sports is the most lethal weapon against the menace of drugs in Punjab, due to which the Punjab Government is promoting sports.”

He added, “Due to strenuous efforts of the Punjab Government, Kila Raipur Sports Festival has been revived with bullock cart races through legislation in 2025 after 14 years.” He said, “These games are known as the ‘Mini Olympics’ of rural sports but no one had bothered for their revival earlier.”

Egg Benefits: You’ve Been Eating It Wrong! Harvard-Trained Doctor Reveals Why Yolks Are More Important Than Whites

Egg Benefits Whites and Yolk

Egg Benefits: Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods you can eat. Packed with high-quality protein, they support muscle growth, keep you full for longer, and provide a range of essential nutrients. Yet, many people are confused about whether eating eggs daily is healthy, or if egg yolks should be avoided due to cholesterol concerns.

Recently, Dr Saurabh Sethi, a California-based gastroenterologist trained at AIIMS, Harvard and Stanford, explained on Instagram the surprising benefits of eating whole eggs every day and why you shouldn’t just stick to egg whites.

Egg Benefits: How Daily Eggs Improve Health

Dr Sethi highlighted several ways that including eggs in your daily diet can boost overall health:

  1. Better Brain Function
Eggs are rich in choline, a nutrient that helps produce acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter crucial for memory and focus. Eating eggs regularly can therefore support brain health.
  2. Improved Cholesterol Profile
Contrary to popular belief, eggs can actually improve your cholesterol balance. Dr Sethi noted that consuming eggs may increase HDL, the “good” cholesterol, in many people, helping maintain heart health.
  3. Stronger Eyes
Egg yolks contain lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that protect the eyes from high-energy blue light and support overall eye health. Regular egg consumption can therefore help maintain better vision.
  4. Healthier Skin, Hair And Nails
Eggs are rich in sulphur-containing amino acids, which help the body produce keratin. Keratin is essential for healthy hair, skin, and nails, making eggs a natural beauty food.

For those following a plant-based diet, Dr Sethi suggests tofu, tempeh and edamame as good protein alternatives.

Why Eating Whole Eggs Matters

Many people eat only egg whites to avoid cholesterol in yolks. However, Dr Alok Chopra, a cardiologist with over 40 years of experience, explains that egg whites alone are an inflammatory protein. Eggs are most nutritious when eaten whole.

Dr Chopra said, “The yolk contains most of the nutrients. It provides more vitamin A, vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids than the whites. Cholesterol in yolks is often misunderstood. It’s essential for cell structure, hormone production, brain function, and a healthy immune system.”

In short, ditch the fear of egg yolks. Including whole eggs in your diet can boost brain health, improve vision, strengthen hair and nails and even enhance cholesterol balance. Eating eggs the right way is simple, natural and highly beneficial.

Weight Loss Transformation: Dhurandhar 2 Actor’s Brutal 15kg Gain-Loss Is Surprising – Why This Extreme Body Shift Could Be ‘Dangerous’

Weight Loss Transformation of Dhurandhar 2 actor

Actors often push their physical limits for a role, but Udaybir Sandhu has set a new example with his dramatic weight loss and weight gain journey for Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge. At just 27, he played the same character, Pinda, in two very different life stages. For this, he gained and then lost 15 kilos with strict discipline and intense training.

In an Instagram post, Sandhu described the journey as a major challenge. He wrote, “Played a 20‑year‑old boy and a 40‑year‑old man in the same film… gained & lost 15 kgs to look the part. Pushed my limits, I didn’t know I had. A lot of discipline, blood, sweat, and tears went into making this.”

His effort brought both versions of the character to life on screen — from a lean, agile youth to a heavier, rugged older man.

Udaybir’s Weight Loss And Gain Journey For Dhurandhar 2

For the role of Gurbaaz (Pinda) in Dhurandhar 2, Udaybir Sandhu had to follow a tough regime to change his body shape noticeably:

1. Gaining 15kg
To portray the 40‑year‑old version of Pinda, Sandhu bulked up. He focused on gaining weight in a controlled way to achieve a rougher, heavier appearance suitable for the older character.

2. Losing 15kg
To play the 20‑year‑old Pinda, he then shed the weight to look lean, agile, and energetic. This drastic shift helped him embody a younger, active version of the same character.

Methods Used:
• Strict diet cycles
• High‑protein intake
• Intense workouts
• Strong mental discipline

Sandhu went through what he described as “blood, sweat and tears” to deliver a convincing performance. The transformation was impressive, given that the dramatic change was only needed for a limited screen time.

Why Such Extreme Body Shift Can Be Risky

While Sandhu’s transformation has impressed fans, experts warn that such drastic weight changes can be harmful to health if done carelessly. Rapid weight loss or weight gain isn’t generally recommended because it can put stress on the body.

Health specialists say losing weight too quickly can cause serious issues. Rapid change in weight can lead to:

• Muscle loss and slower metabolism
• Nutrient deficiencies and fatigue
• Hormonal imbalance
• Weak immune system and energy loss
• Gallstones and metabolic problems

According to experts, healthy weight loss should be gradual, at about 0.5–1 kg per week. Fast changes can harm the body and make it harder to keep weight off in the long term. Sudden shifts can also reduce muscle mass and disrupt normal functions like hormone balance and metabolism.

Nutritionists add that dramatic body changes for roles are unique to actors and shouldn’t be copied by the general public. These transformations are usually done with professional guidance and close monitoring to reduce risks.

For most people, focusing on a balanced diet, regular exercise, and steady progress is a safer approach to weight loss and overall health

According to official updates, police teams arrested 102 drug smugglers and seized 6.2 kg heroin, 10 kg poppy husk, and 2,162 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹17,113 in drug money during the operations.

Sustained Crackdown on Drug Network

The initiative reflects a consistent and large-scale effort to dismantle drug supply chains in Punjab. Regular raids and coordinated actions are being carried out to target both suppliers and local distribution networks.

Focus on Rehabilitation Alongside Enforcement

In addition to arrests and seizures, authorities also focused on rehabilitation, persuading 23 individuals to undergo de-addiction and treatment. This highlights a dual approach of strict enforcement and social reform.

Community-Centric Approach

The campaign is not limited to policing alone but also involves community participation and awareness. Efforts are being made to encourage individuals struggling with addiction to seek help and reintegrate into society.

Government’s Continued Push Against Drugs

The anti-drug drive aligns with the broader efforts of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to curb drug abuse and improve public health and safety.

Strengthening Law Enforcement Mechanism

The continued success of the campaign indicates improved coordination among enforcement agencies and a strengthened intelligence network, enabling timely interventions and effective action.

Overall, the sustained operations under #YudhNashianVirudh demonstrate Punjab’s ongoing commitment to tackling the drug menace through a combination of strict policing and rehabilitation initiatives.

CM Bhagwant Mann Govt Accelerates Road Development, Replaces Kutcha Roads Across Punjab

The Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has intensified efforts to upgrade rural infrastructure, focusing on converting kutcha and dilapidated roads into durable, well-constructed pucca roads across the state.

The initiative aims to eliminate long-standing issues faced by residents due to खराब road conditions, ensuring smoother and more reliable connectivity in both rural and semi-urban areas.

Bhagwant Mann: End of Kutcha Roads Era

The government claims that the era of unpaved roads is being phased out, with large-scale projects underway to strengthen road networks. These upgrades are expected to significantly reduce travel difficulties for daily commuters.

Improved Safety and Comfort

With better road quality, travel has become safer and more comfortable. The improved infrastructure is likely to reduce accidents, vehicle damage, and travel time, benefiting both residents and transport services.

Relief for Rural Population

The move is particularly beneficial for rural communities, where poor road conditions often disrupted access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. The new roads are expected to ease mobility and improve overall quality of life.

Boost to Local Economy

Enhanced road connectivity plays a crucial role in economic development by facilitating smoother transportation of goods and agricultural produce. This is expected to support farmers, traders, and small businesses.

Infrastructure Push Under Mann Government

The road development drive reflects the Mann government’s focus on strengthening basic infrastructure and addressing public grievances. By prioritizing road upgrades, the government aims to deliver visible improvements on the ground.

Towards Better Connectivity

Overall, the initiative is a step towards building a more connected and developed Punjab, where reliable infrastructure supports both growth and public convenience.

Anurag Dhanda : AAP Leaders, Including Atishi, Protest Outside Delhi Assembly Over Budget and Fire Safety Concerns

Anurag Dhanda: A political confrontation unfolded outside the Delhi Assembly as AAP leaders, led by Leader of the Opposition Atishi, staged a protest accusing the BJP government of misleading the public and failing to deliver on governance.

Adding to the criticism, AAP leader Anurag Dhanda shared a video on social media highlighting the issue and strongly criticised the government in the caption, questioning how a ₹1 lakh crore Budget could fail to ensure even basic fire safety infrastructure.

The protest follows remarks by AAP leader Anurag Dhanda, who questioned the credibility of the government’s ₹1 lakh crore Budget, alleging that it failed to address even basic emergency infrastructure needs.

Anurag Dhanda: Allegations Over Budget and Governance

Atishi criticised what she termed a “fake” ₹1 lakh crore Budget presented last year, claiming it did not translate into tangible improvements on the ground. She specifically pointed to gaps in fire safety infrastructure, alleging that even essential equipment like fire brigade ladders was not adequately provided.

Realme- 16
Google

The evolution of smartphone batteries has been substantial. The newest smartphone that will be launched is the Realme 16, and it will have a much larger battery capacity than any other smartphone available to consumers today. The Realme 16 has been rumored to have a 7000 mAh battery, which would allow it to last longer than any of the available smartphones now in the marketplace. For individuals who typically suffer from battery anxiety, this might provide relief.

What Does 7000mAh Really Mean?

A 7000mAh battery is significantly larger than the standard 4500–5000mAh batteries seen in most smartphones today. This could translate into:

  • Up to 2 days of moderate usage
  • Extended video streaming and gaming sessions
  • Less frequent charging cycles

For travelers, this means fewer interruptions and more freedom to stay connected.

A Travel Essential Without Extra Gear

Travel is typically burdened by additional accessories such as batteries and chargers for devices. If the Product lives up to expectations, then a traveler will no longer need to carry a portable charging device when traveling by train for extended periods of time or exploring remote locations. A phone battery that lasts longer than average during your travels will greatly increase the value of that device while you’re away from home.

Will It Replace Power Banks Completely?

The concept of power banks is attractive; however, they may not vanish completely. Power users, content makers, and people who travel for a long time might want a battery backup. However, the vast majority of users will likely see reduced reliance on external charging devices.

A New Era of Travel-Friendly Smartphones

The Realme 16’s 7000mAh battery signals a shift toward more reliable, travel-friendly smartphones. If real-world performance matches expectations, it could redefine how we pack for trips lighter, simpler, and more convenient.
