CM Yogi Adityanath

In a strong move aimed at ensuring public safety, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered that deaths caused by Chinese manjha will now be treated as murder cases under the law. The directive comes in the wake of a tragic incident in which a motorcyclist lost his life after sustaining fatal injuries caused by the banned nylon-coated kite string.

The Chief Minister has taken serious note of the incident and instructed authorities to adopt a zero-tolerance approach against the manufacture, sale, transport, and use of Chinese manjha across the state.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Strict Legal Action Against Violators

As per the Chief Minister’s orders, any incident resulting in death due to Chinese manjha will invite stringent criminal action, including charges equivalent to murder. Officials have been directed to ensure immediate registration of cases, swift investigation, and strict punishment for those found responsible.

The state administration has also been asked to intensify enforcement drives against illegal manjha trade, particularly during festive seasons when kite flying increases.

Public Safety a Top Priority

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that public safety cannot be compromised and warned that negligence or leniency in such cases will not be tolerated. He directed district administrations and police officials to remain vigilant and take proactive steps to prevent further incidents.

Chinese manjha, known for its sharp synthetic coating, poses a serious threat not only to humans but also to birds and animals. Despite being banned, its illegal circulation has continued in some areas, leading to fatal accidents.

Awareness and Enforcement to Go Hand in Hand

Along with strict enforcement, the Chief Minister stressed the need for public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about the dangers of Chinese manjha. Authorities have been instructed to involve local bodies, schools, and community organisations in spreading awareness.

The government aims to ensure that preventive action, legal accountability, and citizen participation together eliminate the menace completely.

Strong Message from the State Government

This decision sends a clear message that reckless actions endangering lives will be dealt with firmly. By equating deaths caused by Chinese manjha with murder, the Uttar Pradesh government has underlined its commitment to law and order, accountability, and protection of human life.

Clinical Depression: How To Recover Like Deepika Padukone? Causes, Symptoms And Treatment Explained By Shark Tank India Featured Founder

Clinical Depression: The concept of Clinical Depression came into prominence in India when leading Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone openly came in public and accepted that she was a victim of it.

Deepika inspired millions to come out in open and talk about their mental health. Over the years, her success story truly suggests that healing is achievable even from the darkest lows.

Clinical Depression-Deepika Padukone’s Battle Revealed

In 2015, Deepika Padukone shared her struggle publicly for the first time revealing how she plummeted into despair at the height of her career with hits like Ram-Leela and Chennai Express.

Deepika then remarked that she felt a constant vacuum inside herself, which was marked by sleepless nights turning into uncontrollable crying spells, excessive daytime sleep and suicidal tendencies.

Understanding The Causes

Clinical depression, also known as major depressive disorder (MDD), usually happens due to a complex interplay of multiple factors instead of a single, pertinent cause.

Biologically, imbalances in neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine (alertness), serotonin (mood regulation) and dopamine (pleasure/reward) disrupt brain circuits in areas such as amygdala and the prefrontal cortex, which impairs emotional processing. Environmental triggers could include trauma, chronic stress or major life changes (even success in some cases).

Recognizing The Symptoms

The common symptoms of clinical depression include anhedonia (joylessness in relationships or hobbies), overwhelming sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, worthlessness, suicidal thoughts, unexplained aches, unfounded guilt, indecisiveness or sudden, dramatic weight shifts.

Comprehensive Treatment Options

Standard treatment options for managing clinical depression include medications such as Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (fluoxetine, sertraline) that boost serotonin safely, Serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (venlafaxine) for energy and others such as bupropion.

Mental health practitioners may recommend cognitive behavioural therapy to ward off negative thoughts, interpersonal therapy to correct relationship imbalances and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation.

Shadows fade when you face them head-on. All you need is to accept the inner problem and nurture the determination to eliminate them. Clinical Depression is no exception!

Punjab Youth Turning Towards Education as Bhagwant Mann Government’s Employment Drive Curbs Migration

The employment-focused governance model of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government is beginning to show visible social impact, with a growing number of young people choosing education and skill development over migration. The state government’s emphasis on transparent and merit-based recruitment has helped restore confidence among Punjab’s youth.

According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the government’s sustained employment initiatives have reassured young aspirants that jobs will be provided “without cash and without recommendation,” breaking long-standing perceptions around recruitment processes.

Bhagwant Mann: Decline in Migration as Youth Regain Confidence

For years, migration—both within India and abroad—was seen as the only viable option for employment by Punjab’s youth. However, recent policy measures, including regular government recruitments, simplified selection procedures, and time-bound appointments, have begun to reverse this trend.

Young people are now increasingly opting to stay back in Punjab, invest in higher education, and prepare for competitive exams, confident that merit and capability will be rewarded.

Employment Revolution Focused on Merit and Transparency

The Mann government has consistently highlighted transparency as the cornerstone of its employment policy. By eliminating middlemen, cash-based hiring, and political influence, the administration aims to create a fair ecosystem where talent is recognised purely on merit.

Officials say this approach has not only improved trust in public institutions but also encouraged students to focus on skill-building rather than searching for opportunities outside the state.

Education and Skill Development Gain Priority

With renewed faith in the system, educational institutions across Punjab are witnessing increased participation from youth who earlier planned to migrate. Coaching centres, colleges, and skill-training programs have seen higher enrolments as students prepare for government and private-sector opportunities within the state.

Experts believe this shift will have long-term benefits for Punjab’s economy by retaining human capital and strengthening the local workforce.

A Long-Term Vision for Punjab’s Youth

The state government maintains that employment generation remains a top priority, not only to provide jobs but also to ensure social stability, economic growth, and reduced brain drain. By placing youth at the centre of governance, the Mann administration aims to build a future where Punjab’s talent contributes directly to the state’s development.

The renewed optimism among young people is being viewed as a key indicator of the success of Punjab’s ongoing employment reforms.

These include track doubling, electrification, station redevelopment, new railway lines, and capacity enhancement of existing routes.

Officials said the ongoing works are expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve passenger convenience, and strengthen freight movement across the state.

Bullet Train Corridors to Transform Connectivity

Among the key highlights of the railway roadmap for Uttar Pradesh are proposed high-speed bullet train corridors, including Delhi–Varanasi and Varanasi–Siliguri routes. These corridors are expected to transform long-distance travel, enhance regional integration, and support tourism and economic activity along the routes.

Railway authorities noted that feasibility assessments and preparatory work for high-speed rail projects will play a crucial role in modernising India’s rail transport network.

Boost to Economy, Employment and Regional Development

The expanded railway investment is expected to generate large-scale employment opportunities, both directly through construction activities and indirectly through allied sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and tourism. Improved rail connectivity will also benefit farmers, small businesses, and industries by ensuring faster and more cost-effective transportation.

Special focus is being placed on linking industrial corridors, pilgrimage centres, and border regions to ensure balanced regional growth within the state.

Strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s Role in National Infrastructure Growth

With sustained investment in railways, Uttar Pradesh is positioning itself as a central pillar in India’s infrastructure expansion. Officials said modern rail infrastructure will support urbanisation, ease congestion on roads, and contribute to environmentally sustainable transport solutions.

The Railway Budget allocation for 2026–27 is expected to play a decisive role in shaping the state’s transport landscape and reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s contribution to national economic growth.

Sri Ganganagar News

Sri Ganganagar News: The state of Rajasthan and the entire India were left shocked on learning that a newlywed wife had planned the death of her husband after just three months of marriage. The case reminds India of the Sonam Raghuvanshi honeymoon murder case in which she got Raja Raghuvanshi, her husband, killed on their honeymoon.

Sri Ganganagar News-The Complete Incident

Anju, a newlywed woman, orchestrated the murder of her husband Ashish with the help of her ex-boyfriend Sanju and his accomplices, disguising it as a hit-and-run case.

Amrita Duhan, Superintendent of Police of Sri Ganganagar, remarked that they received a message that a couple was lying unconscious on the road. The doctors declared Ashish dead after the couple was taken to the Community Health Centre. The SP remarked the police team was informed that a man was hit by an unidentified vehicle causing his death.

The 23-year-old Anju communicated to the police team that she and her husband were out for an evening walk when Ashish and she were hit by an unidentified vehicle. Anju also claimed that the vehicle occupants robbed her of some gold jewellery.

However, police got suspicious as Ashish was strangled while Anju escaped without any injury. The phone records of Anju revealed that she was in constant touch with her ex-boyfriend who used to live close to her house.

Anju’s Reunion With Ex-Boyfriend

Three months back, Ashish and Anju got married but Anju was happy with this marital bond. She visited her hometown and reconciled with Sanju. The two planned the murder of Ashish during this phase.

Anju took Ashish to an isolated road in Sri Ganganagar where Sanju along with Rocky (Rohit) and Badal (Siddharth) along with Sanju were hiding in the nearby bushes.

All of them reportedly attacked Ashish before strangling him, passing the entire incident as a road accident. Anju gave away her earrings and phone to the accused to make the incident look like a possible robbery case.

All four accused have been arrested by the Sri Ganganagar Police.

Bhagwant Mann Bust Cross-Border Drug Smuggling Module, 5 Kg Heroin Seized in Amritsar

Bhagwant Mann: In a major breakthrough against cross-border narcotics trafficking, Counter Intelligence, Amritsar, in an intelligence-led operation, busted an international drug smuggling module and arrested four persons from Village Daoke under Police Station Gharinda in Amritsar district. The police recovered 5 kilograms of heroin from the accused.

According to DGP Punjab Police, preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested individuals have direct links with a Pakistan-based drug smuggler, indicating a well-organised cross-border network operating to push narcotics into Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann: FIR Registered, Probe into Entire Network Underway

An FIR has been registered at Police Station SSOC, Amritsar, and specialised teams have been deployed to investigate both forward and backward linkages of the smuggling syndicate. Authorities are examining financial trails, communication records, and possible involvement of other associates to dismantle the entire supply chain.

Security agencies have further intensified border surveillance in sensitive areas of Amritsar, with increased coordination between Counter Intelligence units, district police, and central security agencies.

Investigators are analysing digital evidence, financial transactions, and cross-border communication links to identify other members of the network.

Police sources confirmed that efforts are underway to determine whether the accused were part of a larger syndicate operating across multiple districts or acting as couriers for international smugglers.

Senior police officials stated that the operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs, reflecting the growing emphasis on precision-based policing and coordinated intelligence sharing among security agencies.

Strong Message to Drug Syndicates

Punjab Police reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking and organised crime. The force has intensified surveillance along border areas and continues to strengthen counter-intelligence mechanisms to curb the inflow of drugs from across the border.

“Punjab Police remains fully committed to dismantling cross-border drug trafficking networks and ensuring a drug-free Punjab,” the DGP said, adding that strict action will be taken against all those involved, irrespective of their role in the network.

Bigg Boss OTT 3 fame Chandrika Dixit (also known as Vada Pav Girl) is back in the spotlight due to fresh controversy. Just days after she publicly accused her husband Yugam Gera of cheating, new videos on social media have sparked rumours about her personal life again.

Chandrika recently shared reels featuring another man. The videos quickly went viral and led many users to speculate whether she has moved on or entered a new relationship. The situation escalated further when Yugam reacted strongly and made public statements using Chandrika’s own social media account.

Chandrika Dixit Celebrates Shab-e-Baraat Amid Fresh Rumours

Chandrika recently uploaded a video wishing her followers on Shab-e-Baraat. However, instead of festive wishes, the clip triggered controversy. In the video, she appeared with a man, and the two were seen portraying a husband-and-wife bond.

In another clip, Chandrika was dressed in a red salwar suit with red sindoor. The man accompanying her removed the sindoor from her hairline and applied it as a tilak on his own forehead. She captioned the post, “Aaj Se Teri Saari Galiyan Meri Ho Gyi.”

Soon, the comment section was flooded with reactions. One user wrote, “Are dusra pati.” Another asked, “Have you really married again?” At the same time, several users dismissed the videos as a publicity stunt. One comment read, “Log publicity ke liye kuchh bhi karte Hain.”

Yugam Gera Angrily Reacts

As speculation grew, Yugam Gera uploaded a video from Chandrika’s account, claiming he still had access to it. He also suggested that the video might be deleted once Chandrika realised this. Standing outside his shop, he said, “Chandrika tu mujhse is dukaan ka access to kabhi nahi le payegi, chahe page ka le le.”

Yugam then addressed the rumours directly and made a sharp remark aimed at Chandrika. He said, “Tu chahe kisi ke bhi sath ghoom, kisi ko apna naya aashiq bana, apne naye aashiq ke sath ghoom, mujhe farq nahi padta.”

The video also included a threatening statement, where Yugam said, “taange tod dunga.”While the clip was later removed from Chandrika’s page, it continues to circulate on Yugam’s official social media handle.

Why Chandrika Dixit Has Been In The News Lately

Chandrika Dixit recently returned to headlines after sharing an emotional video accusing Yugam of a two-month-long extramarital affair. She posted alleged proof, including chat screenshots and photos, and spoke about the mental stress she faced while managing work, home and her child.

The controversy intensified when Yugam responded with his own videos. Although he initially admitted to making a mistake, he later accused Chandrika of infidelity and claimed he had evidence of her alleged relationship with another man.

As allegations and counter-allegations continue to surface online, public opinion remains divided. While some viewers support Chandrika for speaking out, others believe the ongoing social media battle is being amplified for attention.

Naphthalene Balls: Why You Should Avoid Synthetic Mothballs At Home? Mission Clean Bharat Founder Suggests Home Remedies

Naphthalene Balls

Naphthalene Balls: Most Indian homes use Naphthalene Balls routinely to prevent infestation of clothing and other susceptible items from insects. However, these synthetic mothballs come with hidden environmental and health costs. Mission Clean Bharat and Mission Clean Doon founder Surabhi Singh Topwal shares her tips on how to instead choose home-based remedies.

Health Hazards of Exposure To Naphthalene Balls

Naphthalene, which is derived from coal tar, tends to sublimate even at room temperature into toxic vapours. Acute exposure to this polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon can irritate mucous membranes, resulting in nausea, headaches, fatigue, dizziness and gastrointestinal distress.

In acute cases, Naphthalene can trigger haemolytic anaemia via oxidation of the red blood cells, resulting in dark urine, oxygen deprivation and jaundice.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency classifies naphthalene as a possible human carcinogen (Group C), which is associated with nasal tumours in animal studies and potential leukaemia risks. Children and pets (especially cats) tend to absorb its vapours faster and metabolize it poorly causing higher breathing rates and liver failure from grooming residues, respectively.

Alternatives To Naphthalene Balls

  • You can try out Cedarwood Blocks/Chips with fresh cedar heartwood as its primary ingredient to kill larvae via thujaplicin oil. Simply put 200g per wardrobe shelf and make sure to refresh it annually.
  • You can even consider Lavender Sachets (50g dried lavender buds + cotton pouch) to mask the breeding of pheromones. For best results, add rosemary or mint and shake it monthly.
  • 100g dried neem leaves or 50g neem leaf powder may also be used as Azadirachtin disrupts moth life cycle. You can tuck it into pockets and folds and even combine it with garlic peels.
  • You may use 20-30 whole cloves along with 10 bay leaves as Eugenol confuses insects. You may pierce orange skin with cloves for citrus boost.

Embrace these toxin-free hacks now for a healthier, greener home!

T20 World Cup Boycott: ‘We Are With Bangladesh’, Says Shehbaz Sharif! PCB Seeks Force Majeure Cover, Zaheer Abbas Blames India

T20 World Cup Boycott

T20 World Cup Boycott: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has remarked that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the country would continue to extend solidarity with Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Sharif remarked that the Pakistan Cricket Team would participate in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The Pakistani PM added that the team would however not play its match against India in Colombo on February 15, 2026. Sharif and PCB said the stance was taken as the country felt aggrieved by the ouster of Bangladesh from the World Cup event.

T20 World Cup Boycott-PCB Seeks Force Majeure Cover

Reportedly, the PCB is planning to invoke the “force majeure” clause in its agreements with the world governing body of cricket – the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). However, BCCI has termed the move as legally unsound and a “weak argument“.

Force Majeure Cover refers to a provision in a legal contract that delays or excuses the performance obligations of a party on the occurrence of extraordinary event(s) beyond their control, which makes the performances impossible.

According to media reports, Pakistan cannot play the force majeure clause card as the agreement clearly states that Pakistan and India would participate in ICC-affiliated events and play at neutral venues against each other.

A Full Member nation under the ICC’s Terms of Participation is required to itself mitigate all issues, including those raised by their respective government to ensure tournament participation.

Zaheer Abbas Blames India

Former Pakistani cricketer Syed Zaheer Abbas Kirmani who had the distinction of scoring three consecutive centuries in one-day internationals remarked that cricket should always remain free of politics. Abbas remarked that he personally wants both Pakistan and India to be friendly with each other. However, he expressed his displeasure with the recent ICC T20 World Cup 2026 developments.

Abbas said that Indian cricketers were wrong not to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts and not collecting the Asia Cup 2025 trophy from Mohsin Naqvi.

Abhijeet Sawant Drops Explosive Allegations Days After Arijit Singh’s Retirement, Says ‘Singers Are Exploited A Lot, If We Don’t Do It…’

Abhijeet Sawant Makes Shocking Claims After Arijit Singh Retirement

Arijit Singh’s decision to retire from playback singing has sparked widespread discussion across the Hindi music industry. Announced on January 27, the move surprised fans and insiders, bringing fresh attention to the pressures faced by singers behind the scenes. Days after Arijit’s announcement, Abhijeet Sawant has opened up about the realities of working as a playback singer in Bollywood.

The singer, who became a household name after winning Indian Idol, shared his views on how singers are treated and paid in the industry.

Abhijeet Sawant On How Singers Are ‘Exploited’

During an appearance on Pentarise Studios’ YouTube channel, Abhijeet Sawant spoke about money, control and long-term security for singers. He said, “People don’t want the singers to become bigger than the film itself. That’s why they are paid a certain amount. Musicians still don’t receive royalties for film music. So Biddu, who worked on Lafzon Mein, also did a couple of songs in the West, and he gets so much royalty payment from those two songs that he can survive his whole life on that money. We don’t even get enough money to sustain our livelihood.”

Abhijeet explained that in India, singers are usually paid a fixed fee, no matter how successful a song becomes. Unlike the West, where royalties provide long-term income, Indian playback singers rarely benefit once the song is released.

He also spoke about how competition forces singers to accept unfair deals. Abhijeet added, “They have created a system like that. Singers are themselves greedy for opportunities, and they know that ‘if this song gets released in my voice, with some big star lip-syncing, then I can use this song for my entire life.’ Singers themselves don’t want money, because they just want to sing the song or work with a certain producer. We accept whatever amount we get, because if we don’t do it, someone else will. We get exploited a lot.”

What Arijit Singh Said About His Decision To Quit Playback Singing

Arijit Singh shared the news of his retirement through a personal post. Thanking listeners for their love, he explained that he would no longer take up new playback assignments.

He wrote, “Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you for giving me so much love all these years as a listener. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.”

Although Arijit has stopped accepting new work, his voice will still be heard in upcoming projects already completed. These include Battle of Galwan with Salman Khan and O’Romeo starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. He has also released a new song “Into You” composed by Salim-Sulaiman and sung with Ananya Sharma.

However, the momentum did not last. On Monday, collections fell sharply to Rs 2.25 cr. Tuesday brought a small jump with Rs 2.6 cr, but the relief was short-lived. On Wednesday, Day 6, the film dropped again and earned Rs 2.1 cr. After six days, the total stands at Rs 24.45 cr, indicating low footfalls and limited repeat value.

In comparison, Jigra collected Rs 21.20 cr in its first six days. This gives Mardaani 3 a slight edge, but the difference is narrow. Neither film can be called a strong performer at this stage.

The comparison becomes more worrying when looked at within the franchise. Mardaani 2 earned around Rs 25 cr in its full India run. Mardaani 3 is still struggling to cross that figure even after six days, which is not an encouraging sign.

Another comparison is Yami Gautam‘s Article 370, which earned around Rs 32 cr in just six days. That film benefited from strong word of mouth and steady audience interest. Mardaani 3 has yet to show similar traction.

About Rani Mukerji Starrer

Released on January 30, Mardaani 3 follows SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy as she investigates the disappearance of over 90 young girls from poor backgrounds. The case becomes more serious when the daughter of an Indian ambassador is kidnapped. This leads Shivani to uncover a large network linked to child trafficking and the begging mafia.

Rani Mukerji returns as Shivani Shivaji Roy, while Mallika Prasad plays the antagonist “Amma”. The film also stars Janki Bodiwala, Prajesh Kashyap and Jisshu Sengupta. While the first half has been praised for its intensity, criticism around the predictable story and over-the-top second half appears to be affecting its box office performance.

Unless collections improve soon, Mardaani 3 may continue to struggle in the days ahead.
