Shami confident in denting Australia’s batting order

The Indian team will start their Australian tour from the upcoming 27th of November. Indian team will play first ODI, then T20, and finally Test series. Even though the matches between India and Australia have not started yet, but the experts have started making their guesses. Some of Australia’s fast bowlers are heavy, and some are telling Indian bowlers better. It is difficult to say which bowling team is better because both the teams have the best bowlers in the world. The Indian bowlers are encouraged because they all performed brilliantly in the 13th season of IPL. Mohammad Shami has described Indian bowling as the best in a recent interview.

Shami said – good pace with depth in Indian bowling

Indian team fast bowler Mohammad Shami said that the bowling attack of the team is the best in the world at this time because there is depth in fast bowling and there is good coordination between the players. Shami and Jasprit Bumrah are the important link of the Indian fast bowling attack and have been an important reason for the success of the team in the last few years.

Shami said in an interview released on the BCCI website, “Our fast bowling attack bowls at more than 140 per hour and you need this kind of speed in Australia. Our reserve bowlers also throw very fast, You don’t see this kind of attack. We are ready for challenges. We also have experience. We also have diversity in our spin department. We can throw fast but we are all different, our abilities are different. You are world class. “You can be a batsman, but a good ball can get you out.”

Ian Chappell: Kohli’s absence will leave a void in Indian team

Team India captain Virat Kohli will return to India on paternity leave after 6 limited-overs matches against Australia and the opening Test match to be played in Adelaide. Former Australia captain Ian Chappell says that Kohli’s absence in the last three matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will leave a big void in the batting order of the Indian team.

Ian Chappell believes that Virat Kohli’s return after the first Test between India and Australia next month will cause a ‘major drawback’ in the rival team, creating a selection dilemma. But in which direction the series will go, in the end the decision will be made only from this.

Kohli will return home from Adelaide for the birth of his first child after playing the first match of the four-match Test series starting on 17 December. He will however be a part of ODI and T20 series. The ODI series will begin on November 27.

Who will bat at Number 4 for Indian Team in Virat’s absence?

Indian team is all set for their mega series against Australia starting later this month. The series will commence with ODI’s and T20 first then the most awaited Test series will begin.

Captain Virat Kohli, will be unavailable in from the second Test match due to paternity leave. In the absence of Virat Kohli Ajinkya Rahane is all set to take the charge but still there are speculations on the replacement for Virat Kohli at Number 4.

As of now, the team has the availability of KL Rahul, Hanuma Vihari, Shubhman Gill, and one of the two wicket-keeping options between Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha.

Looking onto the current team balance, there is no chance of replacing Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal from the top order. So, all eyes will be on vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane.

At least 8 dead, 31 injured in Kabul rocket attack

About 23 mortar shells slammed into different parts of the Afghan capital on Saturday, killing at least eight people and wounding 31 others, an official said.

The shells were fired from two cars, Interior Ministry spokesperson Tariq Arian said. No one took immediate responsibility for the early morning attack that also targeted the posh Wazir Akbar Khan area of Kabul, which houses diplomatic missions.

Tolo News reported that according to the Interior Affairs Ministry, the rockets landed in Wazir Akbar Khan and Shahr-e-Naw areas in downtown Kabul, Chahar Qala, the Traffic Roundabout, the Gul-e-Surkh Roundabout in PD4, Sedarat Roundabout, the Spinzar Road in the center of the city, near the National Archive road in PD2, and in Lysee Maryam market and Panjsad Family areas in the north of Kabul.

Doctors from Emergency Hospital had earlier stated that one dead and 28 wounded have been taken to the hospital following rocket attacks in the city, Tolo News reported.

Taliban has denied involvement in the attack. In a press conference with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday, Khan said, as quoted by Al Jazeera, “We notice with concern that the level of violence despite the talks in Qatar, is rising.”

Photos and videos circulating online showed several buildings with damaged walls and windows, including at a large medical complex.

Recent big attacks in Kabul, including two horrific assaults on educational institutions that killed nearly 50 people in recent weeks, follow a familiar pattern in the aftermath, with the Taliban denying any involvement while the Afghan government pins the blame on them or their proxies.

“The rocket attack in Kabul city has nothing to do with the mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said, using the insurgents’ name for Afghanistan.

The Taliban are under pressure not to attack urban areas, having pledged not to do so under the terms of a US withdrawal deal signed in February.

Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned the rocket attack at Kabul city that have resulted in the loss of precious lives and injuries to many.

“We convey our heartfelt condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives and pray for the early and complete recovery of the injured,” Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said in a statement.
