Pujara confident for Indian bowlers to repeat 2018’s performance against Australia

The presence of David Warner and Steve Smith makes the Australian team strong, but Cheteshwar Pujara is confident of India’s ‘best’ bowlers that they will be able to repeat the success of the Test series in 2018-19. In that series, Pujara had scored more than 500 runs with the help of the three-century, which helped the Indian team to win the Test series 2–1 on Australian soil for the first time.

However, Smith and Warner were not part of the Australian team in that series. Both were suspended for ball-tampering. The trusty batsman from India, who batted at number three, said, “The Australian batting order will be slightly stronger than in the 2018-19 season, but still the victory is not easy.”

Pujara believes that the trio of India’s fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami could repeat the success of 2018-19, causing domestic batsmen to face a lot of trouble. This Test series against Australia will begin on 17 December.

Drugmaker Moderna shot found to be 94.5% effective

Drugmaker Moderna said its vaccine appears to be 94.5% effective, according to preliminary data from the company’s still ongoing study.

A preliminary analysis of data from more than 30,000 volunteers showed Moderna’s vaccine prevented virtually all symptomatic cases of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Moderna shares rose 12% in pre-market U.S. trading, while in Europe, the Stoxx 600 Index was up 1.4%. The rally in global shares following the news represented about $120 billion in market value added to the MSCI All Country World Index.

“This positive interim analysis from our Phase 3 study has given us the first clinical validation that our vaccine can prevent COVID-19 disease, including severe disease,” said Stephane Bancel, Moderna’s CEO.

Of 95 people in the study who developed Covid-19 with symptoms so far, 90 had received a placebo and only five Moderna’s vaccine, the company said Monday.

The findings move the vaccine closer to wide use, because they indicate it is effective at preventing disease that causes symptoms, including severe cases.

Moderna is the second company to report preliminary data on an apparently successful vaccine, offering hope in a surging pandemic that has infected more than 53 million people worldwide and killed more than 1.2 million.

Pfizer, in collaboration with BioNTech, was the first, reporting one week ago that its vaccine was more than 90 percent effective.

“The thing that got me the most excited today was the severe disease,” Moderna Chief Executive Officer Stephane Bancel said in an interview. “That for me is a game-changer.”

Happy Bhai Dooj 2020: Significance, quotes to greet your siblings

Bhai Dooj also known as Bhai Phota or Yama Dwitiya celebrates the bond between a brother and a sister. It is a part of five-day festivities that start with Diwali. This year, the festival falls on Monday, that is, November 16. On this day, sisters apply red tika on the forehead of their brothers as a symbol of togetherness and pray for their well being.

Bhai Dooj date:

This year, the festival will be celebrated on Monday, November 16.

Bhai Dooj 2020 Tithi

The festival is celebrated on The Dwitiya Tithi. This year, it will start at 7:06 AM on November 16 and ends at 3:56 AM on November 17.

Puja Time for Bhai Dooj 2020

The rituals for the Bhai Dooj such as appplying the tilak must be performed between 1:10 PM to 3:18 PM.

On this day, the elder brothers shower sisters with gifts and blessings. According to Hindu Mythology, it is believed that on this day, Krishna visited his sister Subhadra after slaying demon Narakasura. To celebrate Krishna’s victory, Subhadra applied tilak on his forehead and fed him with sweets and since then, the festival is observed.

Some people are also of view that the festival originated when Yamraj was called by his sister Yamuna and he put in a lot of efforts to visit her. She then applied some tilak on his forehead. Yamraj then asked her if she wanted a boon and that’s why brothers give gifts to their sisters on this day.

In some states across India, women who do not have a brother worship the god of moon.

Here’re some greetings that you can exchange with your siblings:

*You were always my best friend,
Looking out for me, making sure
The path I travelled on was smooth.
Even if I searched the world over,
There cannot be a better brother than you.
Happy Bhai Dooj!

*The memories of our silly flights, craziness, and fun may fade away with time but the love we share will only grow with time. Happy Bhai Dooj!

*You mean the world to me bhai
May the beautiful relationship we share,
strengthen our bond more
Best wishes for Bhai Dooj

*Happy Bhai Dooj to the most handsome and the best brother in the world. May you are blessed with all the happiness.

*You are my best friend that I could ever ask for. Thanks for all the love and support and Happy Bhai Dooj to you.

SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station on Sunday in a spectacular evening liftoff that came days after the company’s Dragon capsule became the first privately owned and operated spacecraft to be certified by NASA for human spaceflight.

This marks the second-ever crewed mission for Elon Musk’s private space-faring firm SpaceX, after the successful launch and return of NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley with the Demo-2 mission this summer.

“This is another historic moment — it seems like every time I come to Kennedy [Space Center] we’re making history, and this is no different,” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a pre-launch news conference on Friday. “The history being made this time is we’re launching what we call an operational flight to the International Space Station.”

NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Soichi Noguchi, an astronaut with Japan’s space agency, are now in orbit, riding aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule that is expected to dock with the ISS on Monday at 11 pm ET.

The crew will spend 27 hours in orbit as the spacecraft slowly maneuvers toward its destination.

With Covid-19 still surging, NASA continued the safety precautions put in place for SpaceX’s crew launch in May. The astronauts went into quarantine with their families in October.

All launch personnel wore masks, and the number of guests at Kennedy was limited. Even the two astronauts on the first SpaceX crew flight stayed behind at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Vice President Mike Pence, chairman of the National Space Council, traveled from Washington to watch the launch.

The pink diamond was sold to a telephone bidder, who chose to remain anonymous.

In recent years, naturally colored diamonds have been highly coveted by the world’s richest. Unlike white diamonds, these stones possess a specific lattice structure that refracts light to produce the effect of color.

Earlier this month, western Australia’s Argyle mine, which accounted for the world’s largest supply of pink diamonds, stopped production due to depletion.
