The appearance of Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show Season 4 has triggered a political row. Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane has openly objected to Rahman being featured on the popular Netflix show.

The episode started streaming on Sunday and quickly grabbed attention online. Soon after, Nitesh Rane urged Netflix and the show’s makers to rethink their decision. He claimed that Rahman’s recent remarks had hurt the sentiments of India, its history, and the Hindu community.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Nitesh Rane shared a strongly worded post criticising the move.

Nitesh Rane Angry Over AR Rahman’s Appearance

Explaining his stand, Nitesh Rane wrote, “Comedy ki baat ho to naam aata hai Kapil Sharma ka, aur The Great Indian Kapil Show ko desh-videsh mein badi lokpriyata mili hai. Lekin AR Rahman ke kuch vivaadit bayaanon ke kaaran Bharat, itihaas aur Hindu samaj ki bhavnaon ko thes pahunchi hai. Aisi paristhiti mein unhe bade manch par sthaan dene ke faisle ka hum teevr virodh karte hain.”

He further added, “Manoranjan ki swatantrata swikaar hai, parantu janbhavnaon, Hindu samaj ki bhavnaon aur rashtriya ekta ko prathmikta di jaani chahiye. Netflix aur show nirmaataon se apeksha hai ki ve is faisle par punarvichaar karein aur samajik sanvedansheelta ka sammaan karein. Comedy swagat yogya hai, lekin Bharat ki akhandta, saanskritik asmita aur Hindutva se koi samjhauta sweekaar nahi hai.”

Why AR Rahman Is Facing Backlash

The anger against Rahman began after a BBC Asian Network interview in January 2026. During the conversation, the composer spoke about getting fewer Bollywood projects in recent years. He linked this to changing power structures in the Hindi film industry and hinted at a possible “communal” bias.

Several industry figures disagreed with him. Lyricist Javed Akhtar and singer Shaan publicly said Bollywood still works on merit. They also pointed out that many artistes from minority communities continue to succeed in mainstream cinema.

The controversy grew further when Rahman described the film Chhaava, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, as “divisive”. This remark upset right-wing groups, who accused him of portraying India negatively and playing a VICTIM card.

Who Is Nitesh Rane?

Nitesh Rane is a senior BJP leader and a cabinet minister in the Maharashtra government. He currently handles the Fisheries and Ports Development portfolio. Rane represents the Kankavli constituency and has been an MLA since 2014.

He is the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane and is known for his sharp political statements and aggressive style. Over the years, he has often made headlines for speaking out strongly on cultural and communal issues.

Meanwhile, the episode of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show Season 4 featuring AR Rahman aired yesterday and continues to stream on Netflix. Neither the platform nor the show’s makers have responded to Nitesh Rane’s demand so far. Rahman has also not released any fresh statement

Iran US War: 5.3 Richter Scale Earthquake Strike Tehran, Is Tehran “Testing” Nuclear Warfare?

Iran US War

Iran US War: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) of Dubai has reported an earthquake in South Iran with a magnitude of 5.3 at around 9.11 a.m. UAE time. The same was confirmed by the National Seismic Network, part of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). In the last few days, the count of earthquakes in Iran has increased substantially.

Is Tehran Secretly Testing Nuclear Weapons Amid Escalating Regional Unrest?

Eyewitnesses described chaotic scenes as car alarms blared, residents rushed into the streets of Tehran in panic and building swayed. Soon, conspiracy theories started exploding on social media platforms such as X.

Nuclear tests can mimic earthquakes by generating seismic waves. Interestingly, underground nuclear explosions release massive energy that gets registered on seismographs much like tectonic quakes. For instance, the 2017 nuclear test of North Korea measured 6.3 on the Richter scale, similar to the magnitude of a moderate earthquake.

Iran US War: EU Armies Designated By Iran As ‘Terrorist Groups’ In Retaliation

The European Union recently labelled Iran’s IRGC as a terrorist organization. In retaliation, Iran has labelled the armies of EU as “terrorist groups”. This notification was made by the Speaker of the Iranian ‌parliament.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf told the Iranian Parliament that the EU had been a fault by labelling IRGC as a terrorist organization to please the Americans.

Qalibaf remarked that the armies of EU would now be treated as terrorist group as per Article 7. He went on to remark that the Iran’s national security parliamentary commission would now discuss whether to expel the military attaches of EU nations and follow up on this critical issue with the Foreign Ministry.

The Future Ahead

It remains to be seen whether the entire Middle East would get engulfed by the continuing tensions between the United States-Israel and Iran. The mood of Iranian protestors seems to have been bogged down due to no action from Donald Trump and atrocities of the IRGC.

Dahi Test: Is Amul Masti Dahi Really Safe? Pouch Variant Retested After Brand’s Statement, Results Shock Again – Check Video!

Amul Masti Dahi Test - Pouch Version Fails Again

Dahi Test: Food safety has once again become a talking point after Trustified (India’s first 100% blind testing certification platform) released Part 2 of its Dahi Test on Amul Masti Dahi. This time, the focus was again on the pouch variant, which was retested after Amul strongly objected to the first report. The new results have surprised many and reignited the debate around packaged dairy safety.

Earlier, Trustified had tested both the cup and pouch variants of Amul Masti Dahi. While the cup variant cleared all quality and hygiene parameters, the pouch variant failed to meet microbiological safety limits set by FSSAI. After the video went viral, Amul dismissed the findings. The brand called them misleading and questioned how the sample was sourced and handled.

To remove all doubts, Trustified decided to repeat the process under even stricter conditions.

Dahi Test Done Again: What Changed And What Stayed the Same

For the retest, Trustified took extra precautions. The Amul Masti Dahi pouch was collected directly from an official Amul booth, not from an unknown seller. The NABL-accredited laboratory documented the product temperature at the time of collection and again when it reached the lab. According to Trustified, both readings were well within safe limits. Despite this, the new batch of the pouch variant failed again.

The lab report showed that microbiological parameters still exceeded safety limits. Coliform levels were reportedly 76,000 times higher than the FSSAI limit, while yeast and mould counts were 22 times above the permissible level. These were similar issues flagged in the first test as well.

The NABL lab’s conclusion clearly stated that the analysed sample did not comply with food safety and standards regulations, raising serious concerns for consumers who regularly buy the pouch variant.

Importantly, Trustified clarified that the cup variant continues to pass all tests.

What Amul Had Said After The First Test

After the last test flagged hygiene issues, Amul issued an official response denying any quality issues. The brand said its Masti Dahi is produced in ISO-certified facilities and undergoes more than 50 quality checks before reaching the market.

Amul also stressed that dahi is a live product containing healthy bacteria and must be handled properly. The company said, “Dahi is a live product with healthy bacteria and should be handled carefully as per the instructions on the pack. We are not sure how the sample was drawn and handled before testing.”

According to Amul, both pouch and cup variants follow the same hygiene and production process, and the difference in packaging is only for consumer convenience. The brand also claimed that such videos spread misinformation and unnecessary fear.

Now, with the retest results out, all eyes are on how Amul will respond next.

Whole Banana or Shake? Shocking Expert Take on Your Smoothie Habit

Banana vs Banana Shake

Banana vs Banana Shake: For gym-goers and each one of us, bananas are among the most widely consumed foods. After all, bananas are affordable, calorie-dense, energy-rich and dense in fibre and potassium. Often bananas are marketed as energy boosters and healthy breakfast when blended with milk, sugar or spices, but there lies many differences between whole banana and banana shake.

Let us explore the major differences between whole banana and banana shake in terms of blood sugar response, digestion and long-term metabolic health.

A 120-g medium banana offers around 105 kcal, 27h carbohydrates, 1.3g protein, 0.4g fat and 3g fibre while also being rich in potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, magnesium, and antioxidants like dopamine and flavonoids. Whole bananas digest slowly because of their starch and fibre, resulting in a moderate rise in blood glucose and a longer-lasting satiety effect.

In contrast, a typical banana shake (1 banana, 1-2 teaspoon sugar and 200ml full-fat milk) contains 250-300 kcal, 6-10g fat, 8-10g protein and 30-35g carbohydrates. It features higher calcium and vitamin D but also much more calories and sugar. If you prefer to add ice cream, honey or cream, the sugar and calorie content can exceed 40g sugar and 35 kcal per serving.

Banana vs Banana Shake-Why Banana Shake Is Harder to Digest?

Banana and milk form a “heavy, kapha-increasing and cold” combination when consumed together, especially in blended or cold form. Banana is high in pectin and starch that can slow down gastric emptying and require robust digestive enzymes. On the other hand, milk is rich in fat and protein (casein) that is slow to digest and heavy, especially when cold.

When consumed in a blended form, organic acids and starch in banana can slightly curdle milk to form a sticky, mucus-like mass in the stomach to dampen agni (digestive fire) and delay digestion. This, in turn, can translate to gas, indigestion, bloating or sluggishness, especially in individuals with weak digestion or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Ideal Way To Consume Banana Shakes

If you prefer banana shakes, you should replace sugar with jaggery, honey or dates. Use plant-based milks (oat, almond) or toned/low-fat milk and add warming spices such as cinnamon, cardamom or nutmeg to improve digestion and reduce kapha. Don’t consume banana shakes on an empty stomach and prefer warm milk over ice-cold preparations.

Ideally, it is best to ditch banana shakes and consume milk 1-2 hours after consuming a banana. This allow banana to be digested purely as a fruit without any form of interference from milk proteins. This would also reduce the risk of curdling and mucus formation; it would also reduce the risk of gas, indigestion, bloating and sluggishness.

Budget 2026: On Course to Supremacy! India to Turn Data Center Hub of the World? Big Boost To AI, Tech By FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Budget- 2026
Google

India’s Budget 2026, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is being hailed as a landmark step in the country’s journey toward becoming a global technology powerhouse

India: The Next Data Center Hub?

One of the most exciting highlights of Budget 2026 is the push to make India a global hub for data centers. Recognizing the exponential growth of digital services, cloud computing, and AI-driven businesses, the government has proposed incentives for investment in data centers, including tax benefits and easier regulatory norms.

Big Boost to AI and Emerging Technologies

The budget allocated substantial funding for AI research and advanced technologies, including robotics.

The government plans to:

  • Universities and technology hubs will receive support for their AI research and development programs.
  • Startups that develop AI, machine learning, and deep tech solutions will receive financial backing and tax advantages.
  • The government will use AI to improve public services and government operations by increasing efficiency and transparency.

Digital Infrastructure: The Backbone of Growth

Budget 2026 also emphasizes strengthening India’s digital infrastructure. Key initiatives include:

  • Support for cloud services and secure digital platforms.
  • Incentives for green data centers and the expansion of high-speed internet in rural and semi-urban areas.
  • bine sustainability with cutting-edge technology.

What does this mean for India?

The combined focus on data centers, AI, and digital infrastructure signals a clear strategy: India wants to become a global tech leader.

In the long run, this could mean:

  • More job opportunities in tech and related sectors.
  • Increased foreign investment in Indian tech markets.
  • Enhanced global reputation as a hub for innovation and technology.

As FM Nirmala Sitharaman puts it, India is now “on course to supremacy” in the tech world.

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4: Kapil Sharma Pokes Fun At AR Rahman Amid Claims Of Less Work In Bollywood – ‘Aap Confuse Toh Nhi Hogye The…’

Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman made his first public appearance after the recent controversy when he appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4 on Netflix. The episode saw host Kapil Sharma gently pulling Rahman’s leg while also addressing the chatter around the composer’s remarks about getting less work in Bollywood.

Rahman was joined on the show by the cast of the upcoming silent film Gandhi Talks. Kapil welcomed Aditi Rao Hydari, Vijay Sethupathi, Siddharth Jadhav and Rahman on stage.

Kapil Sharma Pokes Fun At AR Rahman On The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4

A clip from the show has been widely shared on social media, showing Kapil teasing Rahman about his famously brief responses. Kapil joked, “Rahman sahab ko chaar lines ka sawaal poocho. Inka jawaab ek shabd mein aata hai – Yes ya No, very good”.

He then took the humour a step further by referring to Gandhi Talks, a film with no dialogue. Kapil said, “Rahman sir, jab aap Kishor ji se mile, unhone kaha ki sir, ek film hai [music] jismein koi dialogue nahi hai. Aap confuse toh nahi hue ki yeh mujhe as a music director sign karne aaye hain ya as an actor?”

The joke landed well, with Rahman smiling and the audience laughing. The moment showed a lighter side of the composer, who has otherwise been at the centre of serious discussions about Bollywood’s changing work culture.

During another segment of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, Rahman spoke about how messages often lose meaning as they pass from one person to another. Referring to the show’s whisper game, he said it was a perfect example of miscommunication.

He said, “This is a good exercise to see how information gets misunderstood. Different states, different cultures. The problem with the world is this, how messages get corrupted on the way.”

Many viewers saw this as Rahman subtly addressing the backlash he faced recently over his remarks about communal bias in the film industry, which he later clarified had been misunderstood.

What AR Rahman Had Said About Bollywood Work

In a recent BBC Asian Network interview, AR Rahman spoke openly about the noticeable drop in his Bollywood projects over the past eight years. He explained that power in the Hindi film industry has shifted from creative minds to corporate and “non-creative” decision-makers. According to him, this has led to a preference for fragmented music albums with multiple composers instead of a single musical vision.

Rahman also hinted at possible communal or regional bias but clarified that such issues are rarely said “to his face” and usually reach him through “Chinese whispers”.

Earlier, in 2020, the composer had revealed that a so-called “gang” in Bollywood was allegedly spreading false rumours about him. He shared that Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra was warned by several people not to approach him. Rahman stressed that he never turns down good work, but misunderstandings and targeted narratives often pushed him out of mainstream projects.

Despite this, Rahman maintains a calm and grounded outlook. He has said he is not chasing work and prefers projects to come naturally.

Meanwhile, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4 airs every Saturday on Netflix. This latest episode is already streaming on the platform.

Cancer: Can Nuts Keep This Deadly Disease at Bay? Health Expert Shares Vital Info

Cancer

Cancer: Eating small handful nuts such as walnuts, almonds and Brazil nuts every day can significantly reduce the risk of cancer (carcinoma). This is primarily because these superfoods have selectively target chronic inflammation, abnormal cell growth and oxidative stress – all of which can drive the development of cancerous tumours.

Walnuts: Anti‑Inflammatory And Anti‑Tumour Superfood

Walnuts are power-packed with plant-based omega‑3 fatty acids (alpha‑linoleic acid, ALA), ellagitannins and tocopherols. All of these have the capability to interfere with the initiation and progression of cancer. In animal models, diets including walnuts have slowed down the growth of breast and colon cancers by as much as 80 percent and tumour incidence risk by approximately 40 to 50 percent.

Almonds: Antioxidant And Metabolic Protection

Almonds are highly rich in flavonoids, vitamin E (especially gamma‑tocopherol) and monounsaturated fats – all of which can collectively minimize oxidative damage to DNA while dampening chronic, low-grade inflammation.

Almond-derived compounds can improve insulin sensitivity, slow down the growth of several cancer cell lines and improve lipid profiles. The consumption of almonds can reduce the risk of several cancers, particularly colorectal and breast cancer.

Brazil Nuts: Selenium‑Driven DNA Defence

Known for their extraordinarily high selenium content, Brazil Nuts can protect body cells from oxidative DNA damage while supporting DNA-repair mechanisms.

The consumption of Brazil Nuts can significantly alter gene expression related to WNT (wingless-type MMTV integration site family) signalling, inflammation and DNA methylation – processes that are directly associated with colorectal-cancer development.

Practical Advice For Cancer‑Preventive Snacking

For most adults, a daily portion of approximately 25-30 grams of mixed nuts is considered to be a reasonable option with special emphasis on raw, unsalted or dry-roasted varieties. You can consume few walnuts in the morning, a small handful of almonds at lunch or as an evening snack and 1-2 Brazil Nuts a couple of times a week.

Budget 2026: NDA Pats Its Back, Shashi Tharoor To Akhilesh Yadav, Opposition Calls It Names

Budget 2026

Budget 2026: The Union Budget 2026 of India was unveiled amid high political drama on February 1 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, igniting a fierce partisan showdown. The BJP and its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners hail the budget as a ‘masterstroke for Viksit Bharat”, patting the Indian FM and India for fiscal prudence and growth reforms.

In contrast, the opposition INDIA bloc branded the Budget 2026 as “faceless, baseless, directionless, anti-poor, pro-corporate, and visionless.”

Let us explore the real truth behind Budget 2026 and would it be beneficial for India as a whole.

Budget 2026: NDA’s Self-Congratulatory Narrative

The optimism of NDA rests on robust macroeconomic foundations. The gross domestic product (GDP) growth is projected at 7.2 percent for FY26, primarily influenced by infrastructure spending surging to ₹12 lakh crore (up 15% YoY), with a focus on green energy and urban mobility. Capital expenditure-to-GDP ratio hits 3.8 percent, a post-2014 high; Fiscal deficit narrows to 4.5 percent of GDP from 4.9 percent last year.

Opposition’s Rebuttal: A “Faceless” Giveaway to Corporates?

Several opposition parties such as Congress, Samajwadi Party and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) blasted the Budget 2026 as a budget that favours the elite and ignores the common man.

Many Southern state leaders openly criticized the NDA government saying their states did not get anything.

Leaders from the states of Kerala, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab commented that the budget did not had anything for anyone.

They claimed that the entire concept of Budget 2026 was to spread lies, misinformation and tall claims when in reality, no purpose would be ever served.

Meanwhile, many sections of the industry such as the IMC Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and GTB Bharat welcomed the Budget 2026.

Economic Reality Check

If one sees the Budget 2026 from an economics point of view, the NDA has a point. The International Monetary Fund endorses the trajectory, forecasting 6.8 percent growth amid market slowdown and global uncertainty. The budget prioritizes stability over populism ahead of polls in many states.

Actress and reality show star Uorfi Javed has addressed recent claims that she was expelled from Islam. Influencer Faizan Ansari alleged in a viral video that Muslims had decided to remove her from the religion and rename her Geeta Bharadwaj. He claimed this was due to her repeated insults toward the community.

Uorfi Javed Reacts To Expulsion Claims

Responding to the allegations, Uorfi told IANS, “I myself left the religion long ago. Who is making these things up now? Who said this? There is no such report. They are making it up on their own. I don’t follow any religion. I am an atheist. Toh mujhe kaha se nikaloge? Jiska koi thikana hi nahi hai, usko aap kaha se nikaloge?”

Her statement quickly went viral online, clarifying that she has no ties to Islam.

Check out the video below

Faizan Ansari’s Statement Sparks Debate

In his video, Ansari said, “Hello guys, how are you all? I am Faizan Ansari. There is a girl who is ruining the name of Muslims, not only in India but across the world. She herself says that she does not believe in the Quran, she does not believe in Islam, and she does not believe in the Muslim religion. Her name was Muslim till now, Uorfi Javed. She is a very bad girl who has ruined the name of Muslims across the world, and every Muslim abuses her.”

He also claimed to have submitted a letter to a Maulana and asked his followers to stop calling her Uorfi Javed, saying she had no place in the Muslim community.

For the unversed, Faizan Ansari is a Mumbai-based influencer who is known for controversial statements. He previously made news with a reported Rs 100 crore defamation suit against actress Khushi Mukherjee and has been involved in viral debates about Lata Mangeshkar, Shah Rukh Khan and Tanushree Dutta. Many call his actions publicity stunts to stay relevant online.

Uorfi Javed: Work Front

Professionally, Uorfi is back on Splitsvilla 16 as a mischief maker, alongside TV actress Nia Sharma. She was recently seen arguing with contestant Himanshu over his bad behaviour. The verbal spat became so ugly that Uorfi ended up saying, “Aap Ghu-Moot Chuno.”

Before this, she appeared on Karan Johar’s Prime Video reality show The Traitors, which she went on to win.

Budget 2026: Happy or Dejected? Top Takeaways For Common Man Explained

Budget- 2026
Google

The Union Budget 2026 has received mixed reactions from the public. Instead of announcing big-ticket tax cuts or populist schemes, the government has focused on stability, simplified compliance, healthcare relief, and long-term job creation.

1. Income Tax and Compliance

Budget 2026 keeps tax slabs unchanged but eases compliance with extended ITR deadlines and automated lower/NIL TDS certificates.

There may be no immediate increase in take-home salary, but the reduced paperwork, fewer errors, and lower risk of penalties will save time and mental stress for ordinary taxpayers.

2.Relief for Travelers and Consumers

Reducing TCS on overseas tour packages, education, and medical remittances to a flat 2% brings direct financial relief.

Foreign travel, children’s education abroad, and medical treatment outside India become more affordable.

3.Investments and Financial Markets

The increase in Securities Transaction Tax on futures and options raises transaction costs for traders. Additionally, taxing share buybacks as capital gains, especially for promoters, makes market-related activities costlier.

Small investors may remain largely unaffected, but active traders could see reduced profits due to higher costs.

4. Healthcare and Cost of Living

By removing customs duty on 17 life-saving medicines, especially cancer drugs, the government has taken a significant step toward affordable healthcare. The announcement of new mental health institutes and centres further strengthens healthcare infrastructure.

Lower medicine costs and better access to mental health services reduce both financial and emotional burdens on families dealing with serious health issues.

5.Employment and Economy

The government’s decision to raise capital expenditure to ₹12.2 lakh crore focuses on infrastructure development, MSME support, and women entrepreneurship.

Although benefits will not be immediate, increased infrastructure spending is expected to create jobs, support small businesses, and improve income stability in the long run.

Happy or Dejected?

Budget 2026 leaves the common man with mixed feelings: it focuses on long-term growth but offers little immediate relief, leaving people hopeful yet disappointed.

A key pillar of this transformation has been the establishment of Schools of Eminence, which the government describes as a new chapter in shaping students’ futures. These schools aim to provide advanced learning opportunities, exposure to competitive academic standards, and holistic development through skill-based and experiential education.

The government said that Schools of Eminence are designed to nurture talent, boost confidence, and prepare students for higher education and professional success. Special emphasis has been placed on teacher training, innovative teaching methods, and the integration of technology in classrooms.

Officials further stated that the education revolution is rooted in the belief that strong public education is the foundation of social and economic progress. By strengthening government schools, the Mann government aims to ensure equal opportunities for children from all backgrounds.

The AAP Punjab leadership reiterated its commitment to sustained reforms in the education sector, stating that empowering children through quality education is the most effective way to build a progressive and inclusive Punjab.
