“Considering the overall security scenario and in the interest of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir issues orders from time to time regulating telecom and internet services in terms of the applicable rules and the principles laid down and directions contained in the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India..,” he added.

Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment, filmmaker calls claim ‘baseless’

Actress Payal Ghosh has alleged sexual harassment charges against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, saying he “he has forced himself on me”.

In a tweet, Payal tagged Prime Minister’s Office and PM Modi, seeking help as she feared that her security is at risk following her confession.

“@anuragkashyap72 has forced himself on me and extremely badly. @PMOIndia @narendramod ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help!” she said in a tweet.

Replying on Payal Ghosh’s tweet, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, on Sunday denied all the sexual harassment allegations against him. He tweeted “All I want to say is all allegations are baseless.” Payal accused Kashyap of forcing himself on her in an interview with ABN Telugu, however he disbanded the allegations described it as an attempt to silence him with couple of tweets explaining it. In a substantial thread posted in Hindi, Anurag wrote, “Wow, it took you so long to make an attempt to silence me. Never mind… in a bid to silence me, you have dragged another woman in this, despite being a woman. Please stick to the limits, Madame. All I want to say is all allegations are baseless.”

Payal Gosh also claimed that after sexually harassing her, Anurag told her that “it is okay” because other actresses he has worked with like Huma Qureshi (Gangs Of Wasseypur) and Mahi Gill (Dev D) “are just a call away.” Reacting to the allegation, the filmmaker wrote in his tweet: “Whether it’s my first wife or second, or a girlfriend… or all those actresses who worked with me… or all those female colleagues who have been working with me… I don’t indulge in such behaviour in public or otherwise. Neither do I tolerate such behaviour. Rest, whatever happens… let’s see. In the video, you can figure how true the allegations are… otherwise, just love and good wishes for you. Apologies for replying to you in Hindi for your accusations in English.”

After accusations, actress Taapsee Pannu, who has worked with the filmmaker in ManMarziyaan smashed the allegations against and called him the “biggest feminist”.

“For you, my friend , are the biggest feminist I know. See you on the sets soon of yet another piece of art that shows how powerful and significant women are in the world you create :)” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Anurag Kashyap’s ex-wife, Aarti Bajaj, has also come out in support of him. She took to Instagram to share a lengthy note and mentioned how the filmmaker creates safest space for women around him.

“First wife here.. You are a rockstar @anuragkashyap10. Keep empowering women as you do and the safest place you create for all of them. I see it first hand with our daughter. There is no integrity left and the world is full of losers and no brains baying for blood of anyone who has a voice. If everybody spends the energy which they use in hating others constructively this world will be a better place.”

“Cheapest stunt I have seen till now. First it made me angry then I laughed so hard as it cannot come more framed then this . I am sorry that you have to go through this .That’s the level of them. You stay HIGH and keep using your voice. We love you,” she added.

Donald Trump gives nod to TikTok-Oracle partnership

On Saturday, President Donald Trump said that he has approved the Oracle Corp.’s bid to acquire the U.S operations of popular video app TikTok “in concept”. Earlier Trump has mentioned about the concerns related to the national security due to the data usage practices followed by the app and banning its usage in the country.

The Trump administration stated that they are concerned about the TikTok app because the app collects data on its US users and TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance which is a Chinese firm could share this information with their government. This raises a serious concern regarding the national security although TikTok has frequently said such concerns are baseless.

During a campaign rally in North Carolina, Trump talked to reports and said that he had given the TikTok-Oracel deal his blessing. The Chinese government has to sign off it for the deal to be finalized and according the sources the Chinese government is willing to approve it. As long as ByteDance is not giving up the artificial intelligence algorithms behind TikTok app. Reportedly the A.I algorithm behind the Tik-Tok app is very powerful one and the company and government wants to retain it.

According to sources, in the agreement ByteDance will retain a majority of TikTok assets and app’s algorithm, and Oracle and other US investors having minority stakes.
A TikTok spokesperson said in a statement that TikTok is pleased the deal “will resolve the security concerns of the US Administration and settle questions around TikTok’s future in the US.”

“As part of this proposal, Oracle will become our trusted technology provider, responsible for hosting all US user data and securing associated computer systems to ensure US national security requirements are fully satisfied,” the spokesperson said. “We are currently working with Walmart on a commercial partnership as well. Both companies will take part in a TikTok Global pre-IPO financing round in which they can take up to a 20% cumulative stake in the company. We will also maintain and expand TikTok Global’s headquarters in the US, while bringing 25,000 jobs across the country.”

Oracle CEO Safra Catz said in a statement that Oracle “will quickly deploy, rapidly scale, and operate TikTok systems in the Oracle Cloud. We are a hundred percent confident in our ability to deliver a highly secure environment to TikTok and ensure data privacy to TikTok’s American users, and users throughout the world. This greatly improved security and guaranteed privacy will enable the continued rapid growth of the TikTok user community to benefit all stakeholders.”

Ponting highlighted Finch’s stand on Black Lives Matter movement

Australian batting great Ricky Ponting highlighted Aaron Finch’s recent stand on not going on knee to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

“We should certainly be talking about it,” said the veteran Australian batman, Ricky Ponting.

England and West Indies players took the symbolic stand position on the field before the start of each and every match in their three-match Test series which happened in July, but the same thing didn’t happened during Australia’s tour of England.

Finch had said his team decided against going down on knee after discussing the matter with England captain Eoin Morgan only because “education around it is more important than the protest”.

Ponting said, “I think what Finch was trying to say (is) that people need more education on the issue before taking a proper stance on it or putting across a protest.”

“Holding has been a vocal advocate of the movement that gained momentum with the killing of African American George Floyd in Minneapolis after being pinned to the ground by a white police officer for allegedly using a counterfeit bill.”

We should certainly be talking about it.

“Asked about Australia’s stance on the BLM movement during their tour of England, head coach Justin Langer acknowledged it could have been discussed more upon the squad’s arrival in the UK as the first sports team from Australia to travel overseas since the COVID-19 pandemic broke,” Ponting added.

Not picking Rayudu in World Cup squad was India’s biggest loss: Watson

Ambati Rayudu, IPL 2020, Indian Cricket Team

Chennai Super Kings star player and former Australia opener, Shane Watson praised his teammate Ambati Rayudu, and said the CSK middle-order batsman batted ‘incredibly well’ against Mumbai Indians in the opening game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

“Gosh, Ambati Rayudu! 71, he batted absolutely beautifully. He is an incredibly talented batsman, I think it’s a loss for the Indian cricket ODI team by not picking him in the World Cup squad for 2019. He is a seriously talented batsman.

“To be able to take Jasprit Bumrah like he did, to take him on… he batted incredibly well. He has got shots all around the ground. And he has got a fair bit of point to prove against his old team MI. It was a great start for CSK,” Watson said in ‘The Debrief’ episode on his YouTube channel T20 stars.

Meanwhile, Shane Watson praised of BCCI and the IPL for their efforts of pre-recorded fan cheers at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Saturday, as IPL matches are being played without sepectators

“How well the IPL and the BCCI have done to be able to try and make the ground feel as close to normal as possible. Even something super simple had a huge impact was the speakers and the sound around the ground.

“To be able to have white noise of the crowd chanting for CSK and MI and the players, it really did create more of an atmosphere. I was expecting it to be more like club cricket where there is no sound. You tend to hear every shot that echoes around the stadium. But not last night. It was really like a great thing that the IPL has done.”

A glimpse of Yuvraj Singh’s 6-sixes in one over

Exactly 13 years ago today, on 19 September 2007, Yuvraj Singh created history by hitting 6 sixes in one over. In the first T20 World Cup played in South Africa, India was treated as the underdocks but later on they went on winning the tournament. Yuvraj Singh became the second batsman to hit six sixes in an over after South African star Herschelle Gibbs, in international cricket.

6 sixes in one over

The 18th over of India’s innings, Andrew Flintoff was bowling and he was engaged in a quarrel with Yuvraj. Actually, Flintoff made lewd gestures towards the Indian middle-order batsman, but Broad had to bear the brunt of it. In the 19th over. Yuvraj surged as a havoc for Stuart Broad, he banged all the balls across the boundary line of that over. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni standing at the other end of the crease just kept watching the historic moment.

Fifty in 12 balls, record in international cricket

Yuvraj had completed his half-century in just 12 balls, which is still a record in all formats of international cricket. Yuvi scored 58 runs in 16 balls, where he hit 7 sixes and 3 fours. With the help of Yuvraj’s contribution, India scored 218/4 runs in that match and defeated England by 18 runs. Later on India won the title by defeating Pakistan.

Two of three farms bills passes in Rajya Sabha amid protest

India’s parliament has passed two of three farms bills, the government says, will make it easier for farmers to sell their produce directly to big buyers, despite growing protest from opposition parties and a longtime ally of the governing party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the passing of the farm bills in parliament was a “watershed moment in the history of Indian agriculture” as he hailed the laws cleared by the Rajya Sabha amid major chaos and drama.

Opposition parties moved a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh after he overruled opposition pleas for postponing Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar’s reply to the debate on the two farm bills till Monday as the scheduled sitting time of the House was over.

The two of the three bills passed today in Rajya Sabha – Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 – were cleared in Lok Sabha on September 17,  Thursday.

These bills, after enactment, will replace ordinances promulgated on June 5, 2020.

The opposition and some farmer groups have raised questions about the pricing of their produce under contract farming. They have also raised concerns over disputes with big companies. The agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar clarified that farmers will have the power to fix the sale price of his choice and receive payments within three days.

The opposition by farmer groups in Punjab and Haryana, too, is primarily to the first ordinance that allows sale and purchase of crops to take place outside state government-regulated APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) mandis.

In Haryana, the farmers emerged out of the outbacks and marched towards the urban belts on tractors and arranged peaceful sit-in at several state and national highway.

Several roads, including state and national highways, were blocked at different points across Haryana on Sunday in response to a call for statewide bandh by Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) to protest three farm Bills.

NSA Doval asks citizens to be cautious on digital payment platforms

Asking citizens to be cautious while being online, National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval said on Friday financial frauds have seen an exponential increase due to greater dependence on digital payment platforms following the Covid-19 pandemic.

He was delivering a lecture on cybersecurity virtually at the COCONXIII-2020, data privacy and hacking conference hosted by the Kerala Police and the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace and Information Security Research Association.

“There is a greater dependence on digital payment platform due to reduced cash handling and greater data sharing is happening online and presence on social media has also increased. While we are able to manage our affairs online to a certain extent, malicious actors also found in it, a new opportunity,” Doval said.

Doval said there was an increase of 500 per cent in cybercrimes due to limited awareness and cyber hygiene.

Nearly half of the Indian consumers are more concerned about digital payments fraud now than when the novel coronavirus first emerged, according to a study by a UK-based market research firm YouGov and NASDAQ-listed ACI Worldwide.

Nearly one-third of the consumers (31%) have been a recent victim of a card or digital payment fraud or know someone among their immediate family or friends who has. Among them, 17 per cent of those frauds have been within the last month, according to a report.

DC vs KXIP Dream11 Team Prediction: IPL 2020 Delhi Capitals vs Kings XI Punjab Fantasy cricket tips

Delhi Capitals will match against the Kings XI Punjab in their opening game of the Indian Premier League 2020. The action for the second day of the tournament has now shifted to Abu Dhabi. Delhi Capitals have performed brilliantly in the last season.

This season the Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capital side came with much stronger team and they are also the top contenders to win the title as well. On the other hand the Kings XI Punjab side is also well equipped with some star players like captain, Shreyas Iyer, Chris Gayle and Glenn Maxwell.

In settling the batting order both the teams will face a huge dilemma. Delhi Capitals have Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, and Shimron Hatmeyr, who can bat in the top order but according to criteria only four overseas players can be the part of the final eleven and for Delhi Capitals they can’t kick off Kagiso Rabada from the final eleven of the side. So, the final call is important for entire team management.

Moving on to the Kings XI Punjab side, they have the most explosive batting line up in this season and with the inclusion of Glenn Maxwell in their side they look much more stronger. They also roped in James Neesham in their side who could be a crucial player at the finishing slot.

This game is going to be an exciting one for both the teams.

Boris Johnson shared the medical education prize with Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and a choice selection of other world leaders for demonstrating during the Covid-19 pandemic that politicians can have a more immediate effect on life and death than scientists and doctors can.

The psychology prize went to researchers who discovered a way to identify grandiose narcissists from their eyebrows.

The acoustics prize went to a team that enticed a Chinese alligator to bellow at high pitch after inhaling helium.
