Bollywood actor Govinda recently found himself at the centre of a viral social media moment after a heated exchange broke out between his security guard and a paparazzo in Mumbai. However, what grabbed maximum attention was the actor’s calm reaction and the way he stepped in to defuse the situation.

The incident took place when Govinda attended the grand finale of Mrs India Queen Pehchan Meri Season 4 as the chief guest. As the actor exited the venue, a large crowd of photographers and fans gathered around him to click pictures and videos, creating a chaotic atmosphere outside the event.

Govinda Steps In After Security Guard Pushes Paparazzo

Amid the crowd, Govinda’s security guard allegedly pushed one of the paparazzi members while trying to clear a path for the actor. Soon after, tensions escalated as the visibly upset photographer confronted the security staff.

In the now-viral video circulating online, the paparazzo can be heard saying, “Aap kaise kar rahe hain? Haath kyun laga rahe hain (What are you doing? Why are you touching me?).”

As the argument intensified, Govinda immediately stepped in to calm the situation. Instead of ignoring the matter and leaving quickly, the actor stopped near the crowd and tried to ease tensions between both sides.

In the clip, Govinda is heard telling his security guard, “He’s my friend,” while also apologising to the photographer and asking him to relax before leaving for his car.

Many social media users praised the actor for handling the situation politely and respectfully despite the chaos around him.

His collaborations with filmmaker David Dhawan and actors like Karisma Kapoor and Kader Khan are still remembered by audiences.

Bhagwant Mann Govt Launches Underground Electricity Wiring Project from Satauj, Bringing Major Relief to Punjab’s Farmers Through Pole-Free Villages Initiative

Punjab news

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to transform Punjab into the country’s first state with pole-free villages by laying the foundation stone of an ambitious underground electricity wiring project in his native village Satauj. In a major relief for farmers and rural residents, the Bhagwant Mann Government has begun shifting electricity wires underground to prevent crop fires, fatal accidents and frequent power disruptions caused by overhead lines, while also freeing villages from the maze of dangerous poles and tangled wires.

Under the pilot project, 384 electricity poles will be removed from Satauj and underground cables will be laid without digging roads, marking what CM Bhagwant Singh Mann declared as the beginning of a “Roshan Punjab” built on modern infrastructure, uninterrupted electricity supply and safer villages. Calling the “Satauj Model” a roadmap for the entire country, the Chief Minister said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government has fulfilled its promise of creating wire-free villages for Punjab’s farmers and asserted that underground power supply would also end the politics surrounding installation of electricity poles in villages.
Addressing a gathering, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “Today is a historic day for the villages of Punjab as a major project to free villages from the web of electricity wires and unnecessary poles is being launched from here. Under this pilot project, all overhead electricity lines in Satauj will be shifted underground at a cost of around ₹8 crore. This is the first-ever project in the country, and with this initiative Punjab will emerge as a model project for the entire nation.”
Explaining the technical details of the project, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “Under this project, seven kilometers of High Tension lines, 9.5 kilometers of Low Tension lines, and 41 kilometers of service cables connecting 800 consumers’ homes will be laid underground. All High Tension lines connected from the 66 KV Grid Satauj to the village through three 11 KV feeders and linked to 28 transformers will go underground. Thereafter, in a historic initiative, all Low Tension lines from the 28 transformers to the meter boxes will also be laid underground.”

The Chief Minister further said, “The cables connecting meter boxes to all households will likewise be undergrounded, due to which 384 unnecessary electricity poles will be removed. A special feature of the project is that roads will not need to be dug up for laying underground cables because trenchless drilling machines will be used to install underground pipes. These pipes will be laid three feet beneath the ground, which will prove to be a major boon for common people.”

Highlighting the risks posed by overhead electricity wires, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Electricity poles and overhead wires pose the risk of electrocution to animals and people, especially children. Accidents frequently occur when tractors, combine harvesters, and other vehicles come into contact with overhead wires. Similarly, incidents of crop fires lead to significant losses for farmers. Rain, storms and strong winds damage poles and wires, disrupting electricity supply and causing financial losses to the power corporation.”

Calling the project a win-win initiative for the public, the Chief Minister added, “The network of poles and wires also affects the aesthetic appearance of villages. With High Tension and Low Tension lines shifted underground, electricity leakage will be eliminated, reducing transmission and distribution losses. Villages will receive uninterrupted power supply, underground wiring will significantly reduce accidents, incidents of crop fires caused by power lines will be prevented, and rain and strong winds will no longer disrupt electricity supply. Removal of unnecessary poles and tangled wires will further enhance the beauty and appearance of villages.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the project would be remembered as a landmark initiative in Punjab’s history. “This project is being launched from my birthplace and will be written in golden letters in the history of Punjab. From this village, the Punjab Government has launched a project that no other state in the country has even thought about yet. This project became possible because my dream is becoming a reality today. This project was conceived years ago.”

The Chief Minister further said, “Today’s initiative is directly connected to the lives of ordinary people. These electricity poles will become history in the coming days.”

Recalling tragic incidents from the village, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann became emotional and said, “Three young men from this village had lost their lives due to electric shocks involving combine harvesters. They were the only breadwinners for their families. This project is a tribute to those young men because such tragic incidents should never occur in future.”

Describing the initiative as a transformative model for the country, the Chief Minister said, “The ‘Satauj Model’ will be known across the country for giving major reprieve to people in villages and cities. The world is talking about settlements on Mars, whereas our people were still entangled in issues of streets and drains. The Punjab Government has embarked on a digital revolution in Punjab. RTO services have been digitized and the Easy Registry system has been implemented with simplified language.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further said, “Earlier, registry documents used to be prepared in difficult language that ordinary people could not understand, forcing them to run from office to office. However, now people can get their registry done from any Tehsil within the district.”

Referring to the Punjab Government’s anti-sacrilege legislation, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The Punjab Government has enacted a strict law against sacrilege, with provisions for punishment up to life imprisonment, to ensure that no one dares to disrespect Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in future. The Almighty has bestowed me with the service to serve humanity through the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Amendment Act 2026, which stipulates harsher punishment for sacrilege.”

The Chief Minister added, “Previous rulers neither had the intent nor the will to enact a law to check sacrilege, because of which desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji became a regular feature during their regimes. However, the Act passed by the Punjab Government will put an end to this because no one will ever dare to indulge in this unpardonable offence.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further asserted, “The present Punjab Government is fully committed to the sanctity and respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and to ensuring strict action against anyone involved in sacrilegious acts. The government remains deeply committed to Sikh values and public sentiments. This land has witnessed times that bruised the psyche of the entire Sikh Sangat. The Punjab Government has now enacted this law to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. Only some selected people, who think they themselves are the panth, are opposing it because their hands are drenched in sacrilege incidents.”

Highlighting the Punjab Government’s healthcare initiatives, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna has been launched under which health cards are being issued to all 65 lakh families in Punjab. Every family is entitled to free treatment up to ₹10 lakh. More than 30 lakh beneficiaries have already received health cards, while 1.65 lakh people have received free treatment under this scheme. I urge people to take maximum benefit of these cards.”

The Chief Minister further said, “The Punjab Government has started the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna under which every woman will be entitled to ₹1,000 per month and women belonging to Scheduled Castes will receive ₹1,500 per month. Funds will be directly transferred into bank accounts and women already receiving social security pensions will also be eligible. Nearly 97% of women in Punjab are expected to benefit from the scheme, for which the Punjab Government has allocated ₹9,300 crore in the budget.”

Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema and Tarunpreet Singh Sond, along with others, were also present on the occasion.

Sharing a few snippets on X, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated: “Taking another historic step towards building the “
‘Roshan Punjab’ of our dreams, today an ultra-modern project to shift electricity wires underground has been launched in village Satauj. This initiative will not only enhance the appearance of villages and cities, but will also provide complete protection to urban and rural areas from power cuts and accidents caused during storms and strong winds.”

“With this project, homes, commercial establishments and agricultural fields will receive uninterrupted, safe and more efficient electricity supply, thereby improving the quality of life of every citizen. This initiative is a key part of our larger vision to restore Punjab as a truly ‘Rangla Punjab’, where transparency and high-quality work are being ensured at every level. The AAP government is working day and night with complete dedication for your service and the progress of Punjab,” the post concluded.

Main Vaapas Aaunga trailer has finally arrived, and it promises an emotional story filled with love, heartbreak, separation and memories of Partition that refuse to fade with time. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film marks his reunion with Diljit Dosanjh after the success of Amar Singh Chamkila in 2024.

The trailer introduces audiences to a deeply personal journey that stretches across nearly eight decades. Featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina in key roles, the film blends past and present through a non-linear narrative rooted in the emotional wounds of the 1947 India-Pakistan Partition.

What’s In Main Vaapas Aaunga Trailer?

The trailer opens with Naseeruddin Shah’s elderly character lying on his deathbed, visibly weak but emotionally restless. He shares fragments of his painful past with his grandson, played by Diljit Dosanjh.

Soon, the story shifts to pre-Partition India, where Vedang Raina appears as the younger version of Naseeruddin Shah’s character. He falls deeply in love with Sharvari’s character and the two dream of a future together. However, their love story gets shattered when Partition forces families to separate and migrate across borders.

Before leaving for India, Vedang’s character promises Sharvari that he will return one day. That promise becomes the emotional backbone of the film. Now, 78 years later, the old man wants his grandson to fulfil the commitment he could never keep.

Main Vaapas Aaunga trailer moves between timelines with emotional intensity, showing heartbreak, displacement and the lingering pain of unfinished love.

Imtiaz Ali Calls The Story Personal And Emotional

Speaking about the film, Imtiaz Ali shared that the story holds deep emotional meaning for him. The filmmaker explained how stories of Partition passed down by older generations inspired the narrative.

He said, “What have we left behind? What is the love that we carried in our hearts when we crossed the river of time?”

He further added, “Main Vaapas Aaunga is a personal story of love and longing which remained in someone’s heart for 78 years after the partition of the country. It is also an echo of hundreds of stories that I heard from the veteran generation that has seen partition with their own eyes.”

The film also brings together an acclaimed creative team behind the scenes. The music has been composed by A. R. Rahman, while the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil.

The screenplay is written by Imtiaz Ali and Nayanika Mahtani. Going by the trailer, the film appears to combine emotional storytelling with soulful music and visually rich storytelling.

Main Vaapas Aaunga is scheduled to release in theatres on June 12, 2026. Interestingly, the film will face a major box office clash with several releases, including Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past starring Mimoh Chakraborty, Governor: The Silent Saviour featuring Manoj Bajpayee and Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.

Aakhri Sawal Vs Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Collection Day 4: The box office clash between Aakhri Sawal and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do has taken a disappointing turn for both films after the crucial first Monday. While Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy entertainer managed to stay ahead in the race, the film witnessed a sharp weekday drop. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt’s Aakhri Sawal continued its weak run and is now struggling to even approach the Rs 5 crore mark in India.

Both films were released amid strong competition from Suriya’s Karuppu, which has completely dominated the box office since opening day. As a result, occupancy and screen count for the Hindi releases have remained under pressure across several circuits.

Aakhri Sawal Box Office Collection Day 4

According to Sacnilk, Aakhri Sawal earned only Rs 0.21 crore net in India on Day 4. The political drama saw extremely poor occupancy on Monday and failed to show any significant growth after its opening weekend.

After four days, the total India net collection of the film stands at just Rs 2.16 crore. Its worldwide gross collection is currently around Rs 2.98 crore, making it one of the weakest-performing Hindi releases of recent times.

Aakhri Sawal Day-Wise India Net Collection

DayCollection
Day 1Rs 0.40 cr
Day 2Rs 0.75 cr
Day 3Rs 0.80 cr
Day 4Rs 0.21 cr
TotalRs 2.16 cr nett

Trade experts believe the film is now heading towards a disaster verdict at the box office due to poor word-of-mouth and minimal audience interest.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Collection Day 4

Compared to Aakhri Sawal, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do performed better at the box office but still failed to maintain strong momentum on Monday.

As per Sacnilk figures, the romantic comedy earned Rs 3.25 crore net in India on Day 4. However, the film registered a major 58.1 percent drop from Sunday’s Rs 7.75 crore collection, indicating that weekday traction has slowed considerably.

After four days, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 20.75 crore, while the worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 28.84 crore.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Day-Wise India Net Collection

DayCollection
Day 1Rs 4.00 cr
Day 2Rs 5.75 cr
Day 3Rs 7.75 cr
Day 4Rs 3.25 cr
TotalRs 20.75 cr nett

Despite its better performance compared to Aakhri Sawal, the film is still being viewed as an underperformer considering its cast, genre appeal and release scale.

Karuppu Dominates The Box Office Clash

One of the biggest reasons behind the weak performance of both Hindi films is the phenomenal success of Karuppu. The Tamil mass entertainer has emerged as the audience’s first choice in several regions, affecting occupancy and screen share for competing releases.

While Pati Patni Aur Woh Do still has some scope for recovery through word-of-mouth and family audiences, Aakhri Sawal appears to be heading towards an early exit from theatres.

About Aakhri Sawal And Pati Patni Aur Woh Do

Directed by Abhijeet Mohan Warang, Aakhri Sawal is a political drama revolving around an academic controversy that escalates into a nationwide televised debate.

The film stars Sanjay Dutt as Professor Gopal Nadkarni alongside Namashi Chakraborty, Amit Sadh, Sameera Reddy, Nitu Chandra, and Mrinal Kulkarni in important roles.

On the other hand, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is a chaotic romantic comedy directed by Mudassar Aziz. Set in Prayagraj, the film follows the story of a married forest officer whose life turns upside down due to misunderstandings and complicated relationships.

The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Vijay Raaz and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

NEET UG Paper Leak Shockwave! BIG Reveal, Why India’s Biggest Medical Exam Is Facing a Trust Crisis Like Never Before?

NEET- UG -Paper- Leak
Google

NEET UG Paper Leak: The cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 has thrown India’s medical education system into its most serious credibility crisis. The cancellation by the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the May 3 exam, following a massive paper leak, is a catastrophic failure of a system that is supposed to ensure meritocracy. It has come as a shock to more than 22 lakh aspirants. The crisis exposes fundamental systemic flaws and is the first mass cancellation of its kind since NEET replaced the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) in 2016.

The Anatomy of a Leak

The scandal took place in Nashik, Maharashtra, where the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested 30-year-old student Shubham Khairnar. It is said that he bought the leaked question paper for Rs 10 lakh and sold it for Rs 15 lakh.

The breadth of the compromise was staggering:

  • The Material: The document with about 410 questions was shared in WhatsApp groups 15 days to a month before the examination.
  • The Match: About 120 chemistry questions were the same as the final exam paper.
  • The Reach: The leak soon crossed state borders, moving through Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar and Kerala.

The country has not been involved in a scandal like this for the first time, as there were serious problems with paper leaks and fraud in 2024. The recurrence points to an inability to carry out robust institutional reforms.

The human toll is devastating, claiming the lives of three students by suicide

NEET UG Paper Leak: Millions of other aspirants are plagued by deep uncertainty in their years of intense preparation. The CBI is examining the internal records and digital footprints of NTA, and the Supreme Court is flooded with petitions calling for a complete overhaul of the institution. According to critics, restoring trust involves switching from archaic pen-and-paper formats to highly secure, computer-based testing models with tight, centralised monitoring.

Dowry Harassment Investigation Status

Viral Video: A video of a woman in a hijab wandering inside the sacred cave temple complex of Karnataka’s historic Badami Cave Temples in slippers has gone viral on social media. The incident has sparked a heated online debate over etiquette at religious sites, cultural sensitivity and tourists’ responsibilities when visiting places of worship.

What occurred in the video?

The footage shows a woman in a hijab walking through the 6th-century Chalukyan cave temples in Badami, with slippers clearly visible on her feet. In line with Hindu temple traditions, devotees and visitors are mandated to remove their footwear prior to entering the sanctum. The Badami Cave Temples are four large caves carved into crimson sandstone cliffs, three dedicated to Hindu deities and one to Jain tirthankaras.

The clip shows a tourist challenging the woman and lecturing her for not following the temple’s no-shoes rule. The tourist says wearing slippers inside a temple is disrespectful to religious sentiments and flouts established customs that have been followed for centuries.

Badami Cave Temple religious respect vs tourist awareness

Viral Video: Badami Cave Temples Located in Bagalkot district, Karnataka, the Badami Cave Temples are among the most prominent rock-cut architectural marvels in India. These temples were built in the 6th century CE during the Chalukya dynasty.

The video has sparked debate over the level of respect owed to religions and the awareness tourists should possess. Tourist supporters claim that anyone visiting places of worship should respect local customs and traditions, irrespective of their faith.

Temples all over India, including Dehradun’s Bhadraj Temple, have cracked down on footwear violations, with some staff members going as far as to remove shoes and toss them aside to enforce the rules.

The incident is a reminder that visiting religious sites requires cultural sensitivity and adherence to established customs, whether you are a devotee or a tourist.

US Iran War 2.0 on Cards? Donald Trump Delays Attack on Tehran on Gulf Intervention, Iran Prepares Fresh Strait of Hormuz Strategy

US Iran War: Reports say US President Donald Trump has delayed a planned attack on Iran after appeals from Gulf states, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The move suggests Washington is still weighing military pressure but is open to more diplomacy before taking the next step. At the same time, other reports say Trump has been frustrated by stalled talks and has been considering limited strikes, showing that the conflict remains volatile.

Why the Gulf mattered

The Gulf intervention appears to have bought time. Regional leaders have strong reasons to push back against a wider war because any escalation could threaten shipping, energy supply chains and the broader security of the Arabian Gulf. A direct US-Iran clash would likely send oil markets into another shock and increase the danger to commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Hormuz strategy

Iran, meanwhile, is preparing to use the Strait of Hormuz as leverage if pressure intensifies. Historical patterns show Tehran has relied on threats to shipping lanes and chokepoint control to raise the cost of confrontation and force diplomatic attention. That means even without full-scale war, the standoff can still disrupt global energy flows.

Is war on the cards?

US Iran War: For now, war is not inevitable, but neither is a clean de-escalation. The latest delay suggests a narrow window for talks, while the continuing naval deployments and maritime threats indicate both sides are preparing for worst-case scenarios. The biggest risk is that one incident at sea, or one failed round of talks, could quickly reverse the pause.

The key signals will be whether Washington resumes strikes, whether Gulf mediators secure a new diplomatic channel, and whether Iran changes its posture in Hormuz. Until then, the situation looks less like a settled crisis and more like a temporary pause in a dangerous standoff.

Alia Bhatt surprised fans at the Cannes Film Festival after revealing that her glowing skin secret has nothing to do with expensive serums or luxury skincare treatments. Instead, the actress shared that a simple homemade Indian snack made with ghee and jaggery plays a major role in her beauty routine.

During an interview with Marie Claire France on the French Riviera, Alia opened up about her “inside-out” skincare philosophy. The actress explained that she focuses more on nutrition and gut health rather than complicated beauty products.

Alia Bhatt Reveals Her Viral ‘Skin Snack’

Talking about her skincare routine, Alia shared that she regularly eats a homemade snack prepared using ghee, jaggery (gur), crushed peanuts and coconut.

She said, “There’s this snack that I have, it’s basically ghee with a little bit of jaggery (gur), some crushed peanuts and a little bit of coconut. It’s a skin snack. I have it so that my skin looks great and genuinely, it works. It really works.”

The actress explained that she believes healthy skin starts from within. Instead of focusing only on external skincare, she prioritises balanced eating habits and gut-friendly nutrition for long-term skin health.

Alia also revealed that cooking with ghee is common in her household and forms an important part of her daily diet.

Why Alia Bhatt Believes In ‘Inside-Out’ Beauty

According to Alia Bhatt, skincare is not only about preventing sudden breakouts or achieving a temporary glow. The actress said she focuses more on long-term skin health through proper nutrition.

Her snack includes ingredients known for their nutritional benefits:

Ghee contains vitamins A, D, E, and K

Peanuts provide healthy fats and proteins

Jaggery contains iron and antioxidants

Coconut adds fibre and skin-supporting nutrients

The actress believes this combination helps maintain healthy and glowing skin naturally.

Dermatologist Explains Whether The Trend Really Works

Celebrity wellness trends often spark debate online, but dermatologist Dr Radhika Raheja from Asian Hospital says there is growing scientific evidence connecting gut health and skin quality.

As quoted by The Indian Express, Dr Raheja said, “The evidence that connects gut health, healthy fats, and quality of skin is growing rapidly. Ghee is considered a rich source of fat-soluble vitamins such as A, E, and K, which are essential for supporting skin repair and maintaining the skin barrier.”

The doctor further explained that peanuts contribute antioxidants and healthy fats, while jaggery provides trace minerals. However, she also advised consuming jaggery in moderation.

Dr Raheja added, “When the gut is healthy, it can help reduce inflammation in the body, which in turn may reflect as clearer and healthier-looking skin. However, there is no single food that will magically give you great skin. Healthy skin comes from balanced nutrition and overall gut health.”

Why Gut Health Matters For Skin

Dr Raheja also highlighted the growing importance of the gut-skin connection in dermatology research. According to her, poor digestive health can trigger inflammation that may worsen acne, eczema and skin sensitivity.

She explained, “The saying ‘beautiful skin starts in the gut’ has more truth to it than many people realise.”

The dermatologist suggested including gut-friendly foods like curd, fibre-rich meals, fermented foods, and balanced diets for healthier skin. At the same time, she clarified that skincare depends on multiple factors beyond food alone.

Dr Raheja said, “Good sleep, stress management, hydration, hormones, sun exposure and genetics are equally important. Diet is only one piece of the puzzle.”

Odisha Viral Video: Goons Brutally Beat Man With Stick, Break Both His Legs As Fiance Tries to Save, Public Busy Making Reels, Case Registered

A shocking video from Odisha went viral, allegedly showing two youths brutally thrashing a man and a woman with sticks on a busy road at Berhampur. The clip shows the attackers beating the victims in broad daylight, in full view of the public while the woman tries desperately to shield the man.

Hospitals overflow with victims

The injured were later rescued from the spot and admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment, reports said. Police said the violence may have been caused by an old grudge or a personal dispute but they are still investigating the trigger.

Public reaction to the event

Equally shocking to people as the assault itself has been the alleged inaction of bystanders. The video has caused anger online with many users questioning why those around were more concerned about making reels than helping the victims. The clip has also sparked a fresh debate on public safety and the social media culture of real-life violence.

Police response , case studies

Police of Baidyanathpur have started investigation and a case has been registered against the culprit to arrest him. Berhampur SP Sravan Vivek M said he was personally visiting the spot and keeping a close watch on the matter and that the accused would be nabbed at the earliest. The rapid police action seems to be an effort to placate public outrage and provide accountability. It’s a brutal reminder of the brutality of street violence, and the danger of public apathy in an age of viral content. Victims are even more exposed when attacks are logged for clicks rather than disrupted on the fly. For many viewers, the case is not just about one assault, but about a larger failure of empathy and responsibility in public spaces.
