Calling out Sukhbir Badal, AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said, “Today Sukhbir Singh Badal is saying that he fully agrees with some of the Bills being brought by the BJP government at the Centre. But the people of Punjab remember very well that when the farm laws were introduced, the entire Badal family was seen making videos in support of those very laws.”

Baltej Pannu said that only after facing widespread public anger did the Badals change their position and begin speaking against the farm laws in an attempt to portray themselves as supporters of farmers.

Targeting the Akali Dal’s present political position, the AAP Punjab Media In-charge said, “The Akali Dal ‘Beadbi’ has fallen completely out of the hearts of the people of Punjab. Now, it is trying every possible way to reach a compromise with the BJP and revive its politics.”

Recalling Sukhbir Badal’s earlier statement regarding leaders joining the BJP, Baltej Pannu said, “Let me remind Sukhbir Singh Badal of his own words. He had said that those people who were joining the BJP would have to undergo a DNA test. I am not saying that anyone’s DNA should actually be tested, but when Sukhbir Badal himself made that statement, it is worth mentioning today.”

He said that the repeated U-turns of the Badal family had exposed the reality of the Akali Dal’s politics. He said that the people of Punjab could clearly distinguish between those who stood by their principles and those who changed their positions according to political convenience.

Baltej Pannu asserted that the people of Punjab had already rejected the politics of the Akali Dal and would not be misled by its latest attempts to seek political accommodation with the BJP.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday urged Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria to grant 10 days’ parole to Jagtar Singh Hawara to enable him to meet his ailing mother.

In a letter to the Governor, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Owing to her old age, the mother of Jagtar Singh Hawara is facing age-related health issues. This has resulted in deterioration of her health, which is a major cause of concern for everyone.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Jagtar Singh Hawara has also filed CRWP No. 3868/2026 before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, seeking directions for his release on parole.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The High Court has also directed that his parole application be considered.”

Therefore, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann requested the Governor of Punjab to kindly consider granting 10 days’ parole to Jagtar Singh Hawara at the earliest on humanitarian grounds. “It is imperative because of the deteriorating health condition of his mother,” he said.
