Delhi News: Rs. 1635 Crore Cleared, July Deadline In Sight! Would Mayur Vihar And Noida Residents Reach IGI Airport In A Jiffy?

Delhi News: Mayur Vihar and Noida residents travelling to Sarai Kale Khan, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Indira Gandhi International Airport are for a delight.

Rekha Gupta, the sitting Chief Minister of Delhi, has approved ₹1,635.03 crore budget for the Barapullah Phase-III elevated corridor. This would set a final completion deadline of June 2026, ensure signal-free and uninterrupted travel between East and South Delhi. This would also ease congestion on one of the busiest arterial roads of Delhi.

Delhi News Updates

The project was initially approved in December 2014 and construction started in 2015 and the delivery was scheduled to be completed in 2017. However, several deadlines were missed because of the arbitration disputes, pandemic, delays in shifting utilities and land acquisition challenges.

Originally, the approved cost was ₹1,260.63 crore but the project cost was then revised upward by ₹374.40 crore.

According to officials, the Barapullah Phase-III elevated corridor once completed would help in plugging a vital missing link in the Barapullah Corridor that presently connects Sarai Kale Khan in East Delhi to Central as well as South Delhi. The corridor is extensively used by passengers as an alternative uninterrupted route during peak traffic hours.

How Would It Benefit?

As of now, the journey to AIIMS from Mayur Vihar takes approximately 40-50 minutes during peak hours. The new link would help in reducing the journey time to 15-20 minutes, benefiting millions of daily commuters. The Phase III project would also ease traffic and congestion at some of the most-troubling bottlenecks for commuters, including Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, NH-24 and the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway.

An official remarked that the Delhi government has set a completion target by June 30 this year. The three-lane flyover would offer 4 loops each in Mayur Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan along with dedicated cycle tracks. It would also improve access to a multi-modal transit hub that includes ISBT, DMRC, Indian Railways, NCRTC and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.

Dhurandhar 2 Review: Aditya Dhar’s much-awaited film Dhurandhar The Revenge will release on March 19 and the buzz around the movie is already huge. The film had paid previews from the evening of March 18 (today), and early reactions have started coming in. While official critic reviews are still not out, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has already shared his thoughts after watching the film.

His Dhurandhar 2 review quickly went viral on social media because of the strong and over-the-top praise he gave to the Ranveer Singh starrer. Many fans are now even more curious to see the film after reading his reaction.

RGV took to X (formerly Twitter) and called the film a cinematic revolution. He said the impact of the movie is so big that even the greatest films made in the past may look small in comparison. His wild statement created a lot of discussion online.

Dhurandhar 2 Review By RGV Goes Viral 

Sharing his review, Ram Gopal Varma wrote, “After last nights watch of #Dhurandhar2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way, whether on it’s expected collections, audience euphoria, social influences, cinematic grammar breaking, and above all the psychological audio visual impact, it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM onwards look like TV SERIALS (sic).”

The filmmaker continued praising the film and director Aditya Dhar in his Durandhar 2 review. He said that Dhurandhar 2 marks the start of a completely new era in cinema. According to him, the movie is so powerful that even top international directors should not miss it.

RGV wrote, “In the previous world of cinema, the very spelling of the word DIRECTOR will start from @adityadharfilms name, and it will be prudent and wise for even STEVEN SPIELBERG and CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to drop everything they are doing, and catch #Dhurandhar2 FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW (sic).”

Box Office Expectations Of Sequel

The film’s box office expectations remain very high. Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge continues the story of undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, who lives under the identity of Hamza Ali Mazari. The story shows his dangerous mission inside Pakistan’s terror and political network as he tries to stop threats against India.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun, with Yami Gautam appearing in a cameo role. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is getting a massive release with more than 17,000 shows across India in five languages.

Trade experts are expecting a record opening. Early reports suggest the film may earn over Rs 100 crore nett in India on the first day. The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has taken several key decisions aimed at supporting farmers and boosting infrastructure development across Madhya Pradesh.

In a major राहत for farmers, the Cabinet approved a bonus of ₹40 per quintal on wheat. With this, wheat procurement in the state will now take place at ₹2,625 per quintal during the Rabi Marketing Season 2026–27. Officials said that more than 19 lakh farmers have registered for wheat procurement this year, which is around 4 lakh higher than last year, indicating increased participation and trust in government procurement systems.

Mohan Yadav: MP Cabinet Approves Wheat Bonus, ₹4,525 Cr for Development Works

Procurement will begin from April 1 in divisions like Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Narmadapuram, while in other regions it will start from April 7. The government aims to ensure smooth procurement operations and timely payments to farmers, reducing delays and improving efficiency in the system.

In another major decision, the Cabinet approved ₹4,525 crore for development works under the Public Works Department. A significant portion of this will be used for infrastructure projects linked to the upcoming Simhastha 2028, ensuring better connectivity and सुविधा for devotees.

The government has sanctioned over ₹945 crore for construction of a four-lane and two-lane elevated corridor in Ujjain. The project will cover a total length of 5.32 km, connecting key routes such as Chimanganj Mandi (Indira Nagar) Square to Indore Gate, and Nikas Square to Indore Gate. This is expected to ease traffic congestion and improve movement during major धार्मिक events.

Additionally, administrative approval of ₹228.42 crore has been granted for the Panwar micro irrigation project in Rewa district. This project will benefit 37 villages by improving irrigation facilities and enhancing agricultural productivity in the region.

Renaming the Animal Husbandry Department to ‘Gaupalan

The Cabinet also approved renaming the Animal Husbandry Department to ‘Gaupalan and Animal Husbandry Department’, reflecting a broader focus on cattle welfare and rural economy.

Officials said these decisions highlight the government’s dual focus on agriculture and infrastructure. The aim is clear. To strengthen farmer income, improve connectivity, and ensure long-term development across the state.
