Neem Benefits: Neem has been a part of Indian homes for centuries. Yet, most people still see it as just a skin remedy. According to Delhi-based doctor Salim Zaidi, that thinking barely scratches the surface.

In a recent video shared on his YouTube channel Healthy Hamesha, Dr Zaidi explained how neem is one of the most underestimated herbs in daily health care. He pointed out that from Ayurveda to modern science, neem is considered a broad-spectrum medicinal plant. In simple terms, one bitter leaf can support the skin, liver, immunity, blood sugar balance and even help fight infections.

Dr Zaidi, who has been practising for over 20 years, said people often rush to creams, antibiotics, or chemical solutions for everyday problems. However, neem works differently. It supports the body from within and helps fix issues at the root.

Neem Benefits For Skin And Everyday Infections

In Ayurveda, neem is known as Nimba. Ancient texts like the Charak Samhita describe it as a powerful herb that kills microbes and treats skin disorders. Modern research backs this claim too.

Neem extract has been shown to fight acne-causing bacteria, fungi, and even some viruses. This is why neem helps with pimples, rashes, itching and skin allergies. Instead of just drying out the skin like many products do, neem targets the cause of the problem. This reduces the chances of acne or infections coming back.

Neem also helps with dandruff and minor cuts. When used regularly, it supports faster healing and calmer skin. This is one reason neem is still widely used in soaps, face packs and hair oils.

What many people miss is that neem’s benefits go far beyond the skin. Dr Zaidi explained that joint pain, swelling, and redness are often linked to internal inflammation. Neem helps reduce inflammation markers in the body. This may offer relief in arthritis and chronic inflammatory conditions.

Neem also plays a role in blood sugar control. Ayurveda places diabetes under Prameha, and neem has long been used as a supportive herb. Studies suggest neem can help lower fasting blood sugar levels and improve glucose tolerance when used correctly.

Another key benefit is liver support. Neem helps the body clear waste and reduces liver stress caused by oily food, chemicals, or alcohol. It also helps stabilise liver enzymes and supports overall digestion.

Neem has also been used for oral health for thousands of years. Chewing neem sticks reduces mouth bacteria, strengthens gums, and helps with mouth ulcers and bad breath. It even supports gut health by controlling harmful bacteria and easing bloating.

How To Use Neem Safely

Neem can be used in different forms. Fresh leaves can be eaten in small amounts. Neem powder or capsules are also options for those who cannot tolerate the bitter taste. Neem oil should only be used externally for the scalp, acne, or fungal infections.

Dr Zaidi stressed that neem is a supportive herb, not a replacement for prescribed medicines. When used correctly and in moderation, neem can improve skin health, immunity, digestion, liver function and overall well-being.

Sometimes, the simplest remedies are the most powerful. Neem is one such example.

Lucknow and its surrounding regions are set to witness a major transformation in religious and tourism infrastructure as the Uttar Pradesh government under CM Yogi Adityanath plans to upgrade 14 major faith and tourist destinations with five-star level facilities. The initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a global model for faith-based tourism, combining spiritual heritage with world-class infrastructure.

According to the draft report of the Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region (UPSCR), these sites—spread across six districts including Lucknow, Barabanki, Sitapur, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Hardoi—will be developed in the first phase. The focus will be on improved connectivity, modern amenities, seamless public transport access and enhanced visitor experience.

Strong focus on connectivity and infrastructure

Under the proposed plan, all selected religious and tourist sites will be directly connected to major roads, with access to metro services, UPSRTC buses and other public transport systems. Authorities have stressed that infrastructure development will go hand in hand with preserving the cultural and historical character of these destinations.

The project also envisions landscaped public spaces, upgraded facilities for devotees and tourists, better crowd management systems, and eco-friendly development models. The idea is to ensure comfort while maintaining the sanctity of religious places.

Lucknow heritage sites lead the transformation

The report highlights that four major heritage sites in Lucknow—Residency Buildings, Rumi Darwaza, Bara Imambara and La Martiniere College—are already in comparatively strong condition and will serve as flagship destinations under the new tourism model. These landmarks are expected to attract both domestic and international visitors once upgraded with premium facilities.

134 religious and tourist sites identified in SCR region

A total of 134 religious and tourist properties have been identified across the SCR region. Of these, 14 sites have been marked as primary, 51 as secondary, and 69 as tertiary destinations. The primary 14 sites will be developed on a five-star model, aimed at showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s spiritual and cultural richness on an international platform.

Key sites in the first phase include Deva Sharif in Barabanki, Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad Bird Sanctuary in Unnao, Chakratirth, Lalita Devi Temple, Hanuman Garhi and Vyas Gaddi in Sitapur, along with Pandav Kila, Raj Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Sandi Bird Sanctuary in Hardoi, and Samaspur Bird Sanctuary in Rae Bareli.

Sitapur and Hardoi need major upgrades

While Lucknow’s sites are relatively well-developed, the report points out that several religious locations in Sitapur and Hardoi currently lack basic infrastructure and are rated at a lower level. These areas will receive focused attention to bridge the gap and bring them up to national and international tourism standards.

Vision of a “New Uttar Pradesh”

The initiative reflects the Yogi Adityanath government’s broader vision of “faith with development”, where religious tourism becomes a driver of economic growth, employment generation and regional development. Officials believe the project will significantly boost tourism, strengthen local economies and enhance Uttar Pradesh’s image as a modern yet culturally rooted state.

8th Pay Commission: Pensioners and central government employees may finally see some progress on the eighth Pay Commission as well as the next round of salary revision.

In New Delhi, the office of the eighth Pay Commission has been set up. Members of the pensioner and central government employee organizations would meet on February 25, 2026, in New Delhi.

What Will Happen at the 8th Pay Commission Meeting?

The 8th Pay Commission meeting would emphasize on the preparation of joint demands that are related to service and pay revision conditions that would be submitted to the 8th Pay Commission at a later date.

The eighth Pay Commission meeting would be conducted under the National Council (Staff side) of the Joint Consultative Machinery banner that represents employees of the central government in discussions with the Union Government.

Memorandum Submissions

Secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra in a sent letter to National Council (Staff Side), NC-JCM drafting committee members remarked that the council may submit its common service matters memorandum of central government employees. It was also communicated in the letter that the drafting committee meeting would start at 10:30 am at 13-C, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi, on February 25, 2026.

Mishra also commented that members of the drafting committee would be required to stay for approximately a week from February 25. Representatives from different government departments such as Posts, Income Tax, Defence, Railways and other central government services have been invited.

The NC-JCM invites proposals covering topics like the fitment factor such as minimum wage levels, salaries, different allowances and service conditions.

State governments as well as other stakeholders would submit their respective inputs for report preparation. Thereafter, the final memorandum would be sent to the 8th Pay Commission.

The February 25 meeting would decide the salary hikes of lakhs of central government employees and pensioners in the country under the eighth Pay Commission.

The Sharks grilled Neha on several points. Anupam Mittal questioned the fragrance, asking, “Yeh fragrance ka matlab kya hai? Is it just a gimmick?” Amit Jain raised concerns about usability, noting that some applications did not seem effective.

Namita Thapar focused on pricing and said, “Rs 200 mein deo milte hain, Rs 100 mein bhi milte hain, aur aapka Rs 999 ka hai. India relate kar paayegi?” She pointed out the difficulty of selling a premium-priced product in a market used to cheaper deodorants.

Other sharks like Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh also seemed dissatisfied. The panel also questioned whether Neha’s celebrity status helped boost sales when they revealed selling 2 lakh units. Narendra Modi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged 3 Amrit Bharat Express trains and a passenger train in poll-bound Kerala. Modi remarked that these four trains would help boost affordable travel, regional connectivity and economic growth across the Southern India.

The three Amrit Bharat Express trains would be between Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli, Nagercoil-Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram.

A superfast express service, the Amrit Bharat Express train is a non-air conditioned sleeper as well as unreserved train services that connect Indian cities that take more than 10 hours for commuters to travel. Each train set of Amrit Bharat Express comprises 22 coaches and can accommodate 1,800 passengers while operating at a phenomenal speed of 130 kilometres per hour. It has water bottle stand, pantry car facilities, LED boards, emergency facilities, fireproof seats, charging points and CCTV cameras in all coaches.

The 3 Amrit Bharat Express trains would strengthen regional connectivity between Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It would also facilitate faster and economical connectivity for common citizens like traders, professionals and students, connecting major cultural, pilgrimage and economic centres enroute. All 4 Amrit Bharat Express trains would be maintained and operated by the Southern Railway Zone.

Train Timings

The Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli-Thiruvananthapuram North Amrit Bharat Express (train number 17041/17042) would run via Chengannur, Kottayam, Kollam and Ernakulam Town.

A weekly service, the Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express would run every Wednesday from Thiruvananthapuram North and every Tuesday from Charlapalli. The Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express will leave on Wednesdays from Thiruvananthapuram North (train number 17042) while Charlapalli-Thiruvananthapuram North Amrit Bharat Express (train number 17041) would depart on Tuesdays from Charlapalli.

PM Modi also inaugurated a passenger train between Thrissur and Guruvayur, which is a significant pilgrimage centre, with a stop at Punkunnam en route.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government is all set to launch a massive recruitment push in 2026 ahead of the UP Assembly Elections in 2027.

Interestingly, the 2024 Lok Sabha elections saw unemployment as a huge political issue. It is because of this reason that the UP government now wants to re-engage with young voters before the state goes to assembly poll next year.

Recruitments Through Key Commissions

The Uttar Pradesh government has already initiated a series of steps to issue fresh advertisements for recruiting close to 1.5 lakh new employees through the UP Education Service Selection Commission, the UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC), the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and the UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).

It is believed that the highest number of vacancies would be in the education and police departments.

CM Yogi Adityanath Chairs High-Level Review Meeting

A high-level recruitment meeting was held by CM Yogi Adityanath. All government departments have been asked to immediately send vacant post requisitions. The government would issue advertisements for approximately 1.5 lakh new posts and complete 20,000 pending recruitments.

In the last 8 years, 8.5 lakh youths have received government jobs. During the Yogi administration, education and police sectors alone accounted for more than 2.19 lakh recruitments in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Deadline Set

The UP CM has set a deadline of June 2026 for the recruitments. Furthermore, efforts are also being made to speed up the application as well as examination processes.

The UP government is likely to consider more recruitment after the 2026 panchayat election results.

Political analyst Rajendra Kumar remarked unemployment in the state of UP has become a big politically sensitive issue. Kumar added the regime’s credibility is directly impacted if the young population feels opportunities are shrinking.

Recently, the UP recruitment announced the hiring of more than 41,000 home guards in 2026 alone and nearly 8,000 lekhpal posts.

VIRAL VIDEO: A viral video showing a violent and gruesome altercation between Urban Company masseuse and a female client has surfaced sparking widespread attention on social media platforms.

The incident is from Wadala in Mumbai. In the video, a 46-year-old woman from Wadala East can be seen fighting with a masseuse after she cancellation her Urban Company app booking. What started as a heated argument soon escalated into intense physical confrontation.

VIRAL VIDEO-How It Started?

Shahnaz Wahid Sayyed, the complainant, booked a session through the Urban Company mobile app to treat her shoulder pain. However, she became uncomfortable and cancelled the appointment after seeing the therapist’s behaviour and equipment.

This led to physical confrontation during which the masseuse pulled the hair of Sayyed and scratched her eye before pushing her to the ground.

In the video, two women can be seen pushing each other and hitting each other. The son of Sayyed recorded the event portions while asking the masseuse to leave their home.

A complaint against the masseuse has filed with the Wadala Truck Terminal Police. Police said a non-cognizable offense has been arrested against the masseuse under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita’s relevant sections. No arrest has been made as of now.

The Reply Of Urban Company

Urban Company removed the masseuse partner and confirmed its cooperation with the police investigative team.

Netizens made a series of funny comments such as “Lekin cancel krne ke baad bhi achha massage dia customer ko”. Another commented, “What name can be given to this war?” One wrote “When your massage session turns into a full-blown war, from relaxation to confrontation in 0.5 seconds.”

India has stepped up health surveillance and containment efforts after five confirmed cases of Nipah virus were reported in West Bengal, triggering concern among health authorities. The cases have been detected in Barasat and nearby areas, with two nurses currently in critical condition, according to officials. Nearly 100 people have been quarantined as part of precautionary measures, while contact tracing is underway to prevent further spread.

State health departments, in coordination with central agencies, have activated emergency protocols, including isolation of patients, monitoring of close contacts, and strengthening hospital infection-control practices. Officials said rapid response teams are conducting door-to-door surveillance in affected localities to identify symptoms early and break transmission chains.

What is Nipah virus In India?

Nipah virus (NiV) is a zoonotic disease that spreads from animals—particularly fruit bats—to humans, and can also transmit through human-to-human contact. The virus is known for its high fatality rate and has caused outbreaks in parts of India, especially Kerala, in the past.

Symptoms to watch out for

Health experts have urged the public to remain vigilant and report symptoms immediately. Common symptoms of Nipah virus include:

  • Fever and headache
  • Cough and sore throat
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Vomiting and fatigue
  • Acute encephalitis (brain inflammation) in severe cases, leading to confusion, seizures, or coma

Early detection is crucial, as symptoms can worsen rapidly.

Public advisory and precautions

Authorities have advised people in affected areas to avoid consuming unwashed fruits, maintain strict personal hygiene, and limit unnecessary travel. Hospitals have been instructed to use protective gear while treating suspected cases, and laboratories are on alert for faster testing and confirmation.

Health officials reassured that the situation is being closely monitored, and there is no cause for panic. However, they emphasized that public cooperation—through timely reporting of symptoms and adherence to health guidelines—remains key to containing the outbreak and preventing community transmission.

Dhurandhar has not slowed down even weeks after its December 5 release. The Ranveer Singh-led action thriller emerged as one of the biggest Bollywood successes of the year and ended with a gripping cliffhanger. Since then, audience attention has firmly shifted to its sequel, Dhurandhar 2.

Fans have been closely following every update related to the film. Recently, rumours claimed that the teaser of Dhurandhar 2 would be attached to Border 2, which released in theatres today. However, viewers didn’t find the teaser there. Just around the same time, a fresh update was shared by director Aditya Dhar himself.

Dhurandhar 2 Teaser Update Leaves Fans Guessing

On Friday morning, Aditya Dhar replied to a fan on Instagram who asked him to release the teaser soon. The fan commented, “@adityadharfilms mazak nhi teaser jaldi!” Reacting with a laughing emoji, the filmmaker replied, “Teaser will be out in a few days!”

What To Expect From Ranveer Singh Starrer Sequel

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Aditya Dhar has reworked the end-credit sequence of Dhurandhar and shaped it into a teaser for the sequel. The report also states that the full trailer of Dhurandhar 2 is likely to be released towards the end of February. The film is confirmed for an Eid 2026 release.

Another major talking point is the film’s box office clash. Dhurandhar Part 2 is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, the same day as Yash’s Toxic. Despite speculation about a possible delay, Aditya Dhar has confirmed that Dhurandhar 2 will arrive in cinemas as planned. The makers of Toxic, KVN Productions (also backing Thalapathy Vijay’s delayed Jana Nayagan), have also stood firm on their release date.

Called Dhurandhar 2 – Revenge, the sequel will continue the story from the first film’s cliffhanger. It is expected to explore more about Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s past, tracing his transformation into the underworld figure Hamza Ali Mazari. Ranveer Singh reprises the role, while Arjun Rampal returns as Major Iqbal.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the first film featured Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Gaurav Gera, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and others.

SEBI: 19 Named In Insider Trading Rules Breach In Yes Bank 10 Percent Stake Sale, Executives From 4 Consulting Firms Found Guilty

SEBI: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has accused 19 former and current executives at the local units of Advent International, Carlyle Group, Ernst & Young (EY) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) among others, of breaching the rules of insider trading during a Yes Bank stake sale in 2022.

A SEBI notice that was issued in November 2025 revealed that two executives at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers, five other family members and friends made unlawful trading gains in Yes Bank shares before a stake sale.

Unpublished price-sensitive information was shared by Carlyle Group, Advent International, PwC and EY executives that enabled many to trade on the basis of it. A former member of Yes Bank was also accused by SEBI of sharing sensitive information helping others to trade.

The SEBI notice follows its investigation in the shares of Yes Bank before the sale of shares. Advent and Carlyle purchased a combined stake of 10 percent for $1.1 billion. The shares of Yes Bank opened 6 percent higher a day after announcement of a deal was made.

Response Of Accused Individuals And Companies

The accused individuals and companies are now drafting their response to the notice of the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

A show cause notice is the first step of SEBI after the completion of a probe. If upheld, the 19 people named in the notice could face possible monetary penalties and/or limitations under Indian securities regulations.

Seven of the accused traded on the basis of privileged information while 4 shared that information. Eight EY and PwC executives were named for weak compliance processes.

EY was hired by Advent for tax advisory services and its feedback was sought on the management of Yes Bank. Separately, Ernst & Young was engaged by Yes Bank for conducting valuation work. PwC around the same time was hired by Advent and Carlyle for due diligence and tax planning.
