Ghaziabad News: Travelling between Ghaziabad and Faridabad is about to become a lot easier, and that's fantastic news for daily commuters! Until now, most people had no choice but to pass through Delhi or take the longer Eastern Peripheral Expressway route—both of which often mean sitting in frustrating traffic jams for hours. But soon, a brand-new road connection will change everything.

Thanks to an under-construction bridge near Manjhawali village on the Yamuna river, travellers will be able to go directly from Ghaziabad to Faridabad without having to zigzag through Delhi. This development is expected to benefit lakhs of people, saving time, cutting fuel costs, and easing daily life—especially for office-goers, traders, and transporters.

Ghaziabad to Faridabad to Get Its Own Direct Link Soon

In what could be a game-changer for Ghaziabad, a direct road is finally being built to connect Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The key structure—a bridge over the Yamuna—is being constructed near Manjhawali village. While the project had been stuck in limbo for years due to disputes over land compensation, things are now back on track.

The foundation stone for this project was laid way back in 2014, but differences with local farmers over compensation had stalled progress. Now, after nearly a decade, there's a breakthrough: farmers have agreed, and the concerned department will be acquiring land from 40 landowners, who will be compensated.

The Haryana-side roadwork is already complete, which means once the bridge is ready, people can use this new route without entering Delhi. For lakhs of commuters and transporters, this is a huge step forward.

Bypassing Delhi Means Less Stress, More Productivity

If you’ve ever been stuck in peak-hour traffic near Kalindi Kunj, you know just how exhausting the current Ghaziabad to Faridabad journey can be. Many daily travellers first have to cross Noida to reach Ghaziabad, which eats up valuable time and energy. With this new road, that headache will be a thing of the past.

Local residents say the new route will not only save time but also reduce fuel expenses, making the daily grind much smoother. It’s a small infrastructural change, but one with big lifestyle benefits—especially in a region where hours spent in traffic is part of the everyday routine.

Bridge of Hope for Farmers and Local Businesses

Interestingly, it’s not just the urban workforce that stands to gain. The Manjhawali bridge project is bringing a sense of joy and hope to farmers in both Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Easier road connectivity means better access to agricultural markets, more timely deliveries, and a rise in the availability of farm equipment and resources.

Locals believe that once the road is operational, interstate trade will pick up, bringing growth opportunities for small businesses, shopkeepers, and vendors. In a way, this bridge is not just linking two cities—it’s connecting livelihoods.
