Mohan Yadav on Wednesday welcomed the Union government’s decision to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 14 kharif crops for the 2026-27 marketing season, stating that the move would strengthen the agriculture sector and boost farmers’ income.
According to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office, the decision was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mohan Yadav said the increase in MSP would benefit farmers across Madhya Pradesh and help ensure better returns for agricultural produce.

The Chief Minister stated that the Centre has taken several concrete steps for the welfare and economic advancement of farmers. He said the revised MSP rates would contribute towards increasing the income of food producers and strengthening the rural economy.
Officials said farmers in Madhya Pradesh are expected to benefit from the provisions announced under the revised support price framework for the upcoming kharif season.

Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving the MSP hike, describing it as a farmer-centric decision aimed at empowering the agricultural sector.
The state government said it remains committed to ensuring that farmers receive the benefits of all welfare measures and agricultural support schemes introduced by the Centre and the state.
