Cricket Viral Video: Ajit Agarkar was an incredibly fast bowler in One Day International cricket. He once held the record for being the fastest player ever to take 50 wickets in this form of the game, and he is also the fastest Indian bowler to reach 150, 200, and 250 ODI wickets. However, his most iconic moment in Indian cricket came when he took six wickets in a match against Australia in Adelaide in 2003. This performance helped India secure a memorable victory over one of their biggest rivals.
Before their tour to Australia in 2003/04, the Indian cricket team was playing well under aggressive captain Sourav Ganguly. The absence of Shane Warne and fitness concerns for the Australian team raised hopes for India. In the second Test at Adelaide, Ricky Ponting's double century helped the Aussies amass a score of 556 runs, giving them a big lead. India lost four quick wickets, but the famous partnership of Dravid and Laxman turned the game around.
The home team's lead was reduced to just over 30 runs after an impressive partnership of 303 runs during a cricket match. It appeared that the game was headed for a draw by the middle of the fourth day. However, Indian bowler Ajit Agarkar, who had a bad record of seven scoreless innings against Australia, was determined to get his revenge. In his first spell, he dismissed Justin Langer and Ricky Ponting and later returned to clean up the rest of the Australian team's lower order. He eventually ended up with the figures of 6/41.
On the final day of the match, India was given a target of 230 to chase. It was a fascinating chase, but thanks to the efforts of Rahul Dravid, India managed to surpass the target and secure a 1-0 lead in the series. While India eventually ended up as joint winners of the four-match series 1-1, they did lose the third test.
