GT vs RR IPL 2023: During the match between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, a massive injury blow has left the fans in worry. GT’s star batter Shubman Gill injured himself while attempting to catch Devdutt Padikkal’s ball. Earlier, the defending champions delivered an excellent batting performance and made a fantastic start in the second innings.
Shubman Gill leaves field after injury
Gujarat Titans posted a score of 177/7 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill played a crucial knock of 45 runs in 34 balls, hitting four boundaries and a maximum. He is known for his quick reflexes and stunning fielding abilities. However, he had to walk out from the field due to the same today.
Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya, the fast bowlers of Gujarat, displayed impressive swing and pace and quickly reduced RR to a score of 4-2 in just 2.5 overs. Rajasthan’s captain Sanju Samson and Padikkal began the rebuilding process, but the latter eventually edged the ball to the slips, and Shubman Gill attempted to catch it. However, he only managed to get his fingers to it, resulting in an injury. Gill had to leave the field after the fifth over. He was later seen sitting in the dugout with a ice pack on his fingers.
