Weather Update April 7 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that several regions in the state of Rajasthan are likely to experience heavy rainfall on April 7. Mount Abu, Fatehpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer are likely to witness violent thunderstorms, hailstorms and massive rainfall throughout the day because of western disturbances. The minimum and maximum temperatures in the state are also likely to drop down considerably till April 12.

Orange alert for heavy rains has been issued for Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. Yellow alert has also been issued for Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.

Isolated hailstorms are likely to impact several regions in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Gurugram are also likely to experience rainfall, cloudy skies and strong winds, bringing temporary relief from scorching heat.
Weather Update April 7 2026–Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir And Himachal Pradesh Weather Update
Hilly areas such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir are likely to receive moderate snowfall.
Moderate rain and thunderstorms are likely to prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and the Western Himalayas. Light rain is also likely to occur at South Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidharbha and Kerala. Scattered rainfall is likely at East Gujarat, Kerala and Tamil Nadu while several parts of Northwest, East and Central India may experience a drop of 3-5 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperatures.
