Former Bihar Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, Rabri Devi, has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. She alleged that Nitish Kumar attends the Assembly under the influence of bhang and disrespects the women of Bihar, including her. Her remarks have triggered a political uproar in the state.

Rabri Devi Accuses Nitish Kumar of Insulting Women in Bihar

Speaking to the media, Rabri Devi recalled a controversial statement by Nitish Kumar, where he allegedly claimed that before 2005, women in Bihar did not wear fine clothes. Criticising his remark, she urged him to look at the work done when she was in power.

According to Rabri Devi, Nitish Kumar merely parrots what the people around him say, alleging that even some of his own party members and BJP leaders influence his statements.

Legislative Council Witnesses Heated Exchange Between Rabri Devi and Nitish Kumar

A heated argument broke out between Rabri Devi and Nitish Kumar in the Bihar Legislative Council. Following the altercation, several RJD MLAs staged a protest outside the Assembly, raising slogans against the Chief Minister.

Continuing her attack, Rabri Devi accused Nitish Kumar of being controlled by a small group of leaders. She claimed that some individuals dictate his decisions and blamed them for misleading him and influencing his alleged disrespect toward women in Bihar.

War of Words Escalates Over Bihar's Pre-2005 Situation

The clash between Rabri Devi and Nitish Kumar erupted after she objected to a comment made by the ruling party in the Legislative Council. She was particularly angered by Nitish Kumar's remarks about the condition of Bihar before 2005. Sarcastically, she hit back, asking, "Did even your family members not wear clothes before 2005?"

In response, Nitish Kumar dismissed her claims and argued that no significant work had been done in Bihar during Rabri Devi's tenure as Chief Minister. The exchange quickly escalated, with Rabri Devi accusing him of consistently insulting women in the state.

Tejashwi Yadav Slams Nitish Kumar, Calls for His Resignation

Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, also reacted strongly to the controversy, expressing concern over Nitish Kumar's behaviour. He remarked, "I feel pity for Nitish Kumar. We pray for his well-being because his remarks in the House indicate that he is not in a stable condition. I think he should resign now."

Tejashwi Yadav further alleged that Nitish Kumar made inappropriate gestures in the Assembly, including questioning Rabri Devi about why she wears a bindi. He criticised the Chief Minister, stating, "He should go to an ashram as he is no longer capable of running the government. What is he doing with the future of Bihar's 14 crore people?"
