Usually the travel from Agra to Mumbai takes around 16 hours, but the new Vande Bharat express will cover a distance of 1350 km in just 10 hours. This will help in intercity connectivity and improving travel convenience for both business and leisure travellers. This will boost economic activity and help to connect between the northern and western regions of India.
• The proposal has been presented for the train between Aligarh to Mumbai, via Agra.
• The proposed stoppages are Aligarh, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Jalgaon, Manmad and Mumbai.
• The new sleeper Vande Bharat will have 16 coaches.
• The train will run overnight.
• This train will have 11 coaches of AC III and four coaches of AC II and one AC I coach.
• It will have the capacity of 824 passengers.
• The speed of train will be 130 km per hour.
