PM Modi visited the Gulf Spic Labour Camp, where he interacted with Indian workers, acknowledging their vital contributions to both India and Kuwait. His address emphasised his vision of inclusive development, focusing on improving the quality of life for the underprivileged.
“Development for me does not only mean good roads or airports. It means dignity for the poor—houses, toilets, and clean drinking water,” PM Modi said. He highlighted India’s achievements, including the construction of 4 crore pucca houses and the plan to provide tap water to every household. His words resonated deeply with the Indian community, showcasing his commitment to uplifting marginalised sections of society.
Arabian Gulf Cup: A Celebration of Regional Unity
PM Modi’s presence at the grand opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup added a significant diplomatic dimension to the event. Held at the iconic Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City, the tournament has eight participating teams, including Kuwait, Oman, and other GCC nations, alongside Iraq and Yemen.
‘Hala Modi’ Event
Addressing a large Indian gathering at the vibrant ‘Hala Modi’ event, PM Modi lauded the Indian community in Kuwait for their significant role in shaping the nation’s growth story. Referring to the diaspora as a 'mini-Hindustan,' he expressed pride in their contributions.
“You have filled the canvas of Kuwait with the colors of Indian skills, talent, technology, and tradition,” PM Modi remarked, celebrating the strong cultural and professional bonds shared between the two nations.

PM Modi’s visit wasn’t just about cultural exchange and celebrating shared achievements; it also reinforced the strategic partnership between India and Kuwait.
