New Delhi Railway Station Stampede: The night of February 15 turned into a nightmare at New Delhi Railway Station when a sudden stampede claimed 18 lives and left several others injured. Amidst the chaos, an unsung hero emerged—a coolie named Hashim. His firsthand account of the horrifying scene has left the viewers shaken. In a video uploaded on an X account named "Kavish Aziz," Hashim narrates the incident, breaking down in tears as he recalls the screams, the helpless children and the desperate attempts to save lives.

‘It Was a Scene of Horror… People Were Running, Crying, Falling’

Recounting the New Delhi Railway Station Stampede, Hashim described how everything unfolded in the blink of an eye. "It was a bad time," he said, his voice trembling. "We were working outside as usual when suddenly we heard loud screams, shouts, and the ringing of bells. Panic spread instantly, and everyone started running."

Watch Here:

As he witnessed children lying on the ground, women running in fear and men desperately searching for their loved ones, Hashim knew he had no time to think. "I saw kids on the ground, crying. I lifted them up and brought them outside. Many families had collapsed in shock. Some were unconscious. I, along with others, carried them to ambulances. We rescued at least 8-10 children."

‘A Mother’s Cry of Despair… Then a Cry of Relief’

Hashim shared one of the most heartbreaking moments he witnessed. "There was a woman, sobbing uncontrollably. Her four-year-old daughter was not breathing. For two minutes, we all feared the worst… but then, she took a breath and started crying. Her mother, who had been wailing in despair, suddenly broke down in relief. She hugged her child tightly, thanking God. It was a moment of unimaginable pain turning into hope."

Tears rolled down Hashim’s face as he spoke. "I can’t imagine what it would feel like to lose your child one moment, only to see them come back to life the next. It was beyond painful."

‘We Didn’t Care About Our Own Lives… We Just Jumped In’

Despite the deadly chaos, Hashim and a few others risked everything to save as many as they could. "We didn’t think about ourselves. We just jumped into the crowd to help. Maybe we were foolish, but we couldn’t stand back and watch people suffer. There were children, elderly women—so many people too weak to escape. We had to act."

He continued, "Some survived. Some lost their lives. Some were left unconscious. I just pray to God that those who were injured recover soon."

Hashim, who has worked at the station for 15 years, said he had never seen anything like this. "Even during massive festive crowds like Diwali and Chhath Puja, there are half a million people at this station, but nothing like this has ever happened. It was chaos beyond imagination."

The video of Hashim’s testimony on New Delhi Railway Station Stampede has now gone viral, moving millions to tears. His bravery and selflessness in the face of tragedy remind us that even in the darkest moments, humanity shines through.
