Khesari Lal Yadav: Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav has commented that he is poor and therefore does cheap forms of intoxication. This was after Pawan Singh commented that Khesari is someone who does “cheap nasha” (cheap intoxicants). Khesari went on to add that at least he does not “suck people’s blood” accusing Pawan of exploiting others.

In a recent interview, Bhojpuri actor and Power Star Pawan Singh remarked that he does not want to meet Khesari Lal ever in his life. Things got tense between the two top Bhojpuri actors after Khesari took a dig at a drunken Pawan after a viral video was released. In the video, Pawan could be seen drunken and licking birthday cake from the fingers of Mahima Singh. Khesari said ‘Marle ba, marle ba’ (He’s gone, he’s gone).

Khesari Lal remarked that Pawan Singh does not respect women. Lal added that he is surprised that the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party still offers security to Pawan.

Pawan Singh And Controversies

Power Star Pawan Singh is not new to controversies. The actor-cum-singer has been blasted many times for this behaviour toward women. His wife Jyoti Singh has also made damning allegations of forced abortions, denial of marital rights and physical & mental abuse against him. In the last, actress Akshara Singh has pointed fingers on Pawan regarding their relationship. A few days back, Pawan was blasted on social media after he touched Anjali Raghav inappropriately on the stage. Later on, Pawan issued a public apology for his behaviour.

On his birthday this month, Pawan was seen fully intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol. Pawan was seen licking the fingers of his fellow actor Mahima Singh who also featured in the hit song Bani Laika. Many social media users commented that Mahima who was standing next to Pawan may be his next, third wife.

Reacting to the Pawan’s drunken birthday video, Khesari Lal remarked that many people drink too much that they start shaking and cannot even stand on their own. Khesari took a dig at Pawan Singh saying he stands still unlike others.

Interestingly, Pawan and Khesari have always shared a confronted relationship. However, Ravi Kishan requested them to ignore their confrontations after which the two mend their ways. However, fights between the two reignited after Khesari Lal went for an election campaign against Pawan Singh.

Gorakhpur Panipat Expressway: The Gorakhpur Panipat Expressway is all set to extend to Kushinagar district from Gorakhpur to connect to the proposed Siliguri Expressway.

The mega project’s total length would be approximately 750 kilometres after the proposed extension. The expressway would now connect as many as 22 Uttar Pradesh and Haryana districts, providing the much-needed boost to economic activity and regional connectivity.

Under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), work on the proposed new alignment of the Gorakhpur Panipat Expressway is progressing at a swift pace. By next month, the alignment is expected to be finalized and the design would be prepared by the same time. A direct four-lane road would be available to Siliguri to Haryana’s Panipat once the two expressways get connected.

Gorakhpur-Panipat Expressway: The Benefits Ahead

The Gorakhpur-Panipat Expressway would slash the present 12-hour drive from Gorakhpur to Panipat to just 6 hours. The six-lane, 600-km greenfield highway that is expected to get completed by 2028 at an estimated cost of ₹15,000 crore. The project will connect the agrarian heartland of Uttar Pradesh directly to the industrial powerhouse of Northern India.

The expressway would be a game-changer for rural employment and development to unlock opportunities that could lift millions of Indians out of poverty. It would also help farmers in Gorakhpur’s fertile plains that is famous for sugarcane and pulses to quickly transport perishable goods to Delhi NCR markets. This would also translate to no more middlemen exploitation and spoilage losses. It would also facilitate a 20-30 percent drop in logistics cosst, which would further boost the incomes of farmers while stabilizing food prices worldwide.

Which All Districts Would Be The Beneficiaries?

The expressway would pass from Kushinagar through Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur and Gorakhpur. Raj Thackeray: Raj Thackeray, the founding chairperson of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), has blasted the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and migrants from the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Thackeray also took a dig at the K. Annamalai, the former Tamil Nadu BJP State President, by calling him “rasmalai’ and using derogatory remarks against him.

Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray recently joined hands for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections on January 15. Their rally highlighted concerns over the influence of BJP and the imposition of Hindi in the economic and political landscape of Maharashtra.

Raj Thackeray Degrades Former Tamil Nadu BJP State President

In his speech, Thackeray issued a blunt warning to migrants from the states of Bihar and UP. He remarked that he will kick people from UP and Bihar who have migrated to Maharashtra if they try to impose Hindi on Maharashtra.

The MNS Chief added that the upcoming BMC elections are the last election for the Marathi men and urged everyone to unite for Maharashtra and Marathi.

Uddhav Thackeray remarked that the political reunion between him and Raj was forced by an existential threat to Mumbai due to BJP’s politics. The cousins also accused the BJP of consistently favouring the Gautam Adani-led conglomerate.

Raj remarked that the proposed Vadhavan port connecting Mumbai with Gujarat and the bullet train projects were the parts of a broader plan by BJP. Raj added BJP would not be able to sell land to Adani if the BMC is with us.

Uddhav accused the Modi-led BJP government of practising “fake Hindutva” and playing divisive politics before every single election in the country. He also took a dig at Annamalai who had remarked that Mumbai is an international city and not just a Maharashtra city if Narendra Modi at the centre, a BJP mayor in Mumbai and Devendra Fadnavis as the state CM.

Annamalai Responds

Annamalai remarked that he does not feel threatened by the Thackeray cousins who said his leg should be cut off.

Annamalai added that the BJP would prevail in Maharashtra.

New Zealand Sikh Procession Disruption: The annual Nagar Kirtan, a religious procession organized by the Sikh community, was disrupted by a right-wing religious group in New Zealand.

The incident marks the second such incident in less than three weeks. The right-wing group held banners saying, “This is New Zealand, not India” in an attempt to halt the religious event commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

New Zealand Sikh Procession Disruption-Turn Of Events

The incident happened in Tauranga on Sunday around 11 am. The religious procession set off from the Gurudwara Sikh Sangat and was uninterruptedly proceeding along  Cameron Road towards Tauranga Boys’ College when the interruption happened.

Members associated with the Pentecostal leader Brian Tamaki and his Destiny Chruch tried to interrupt the Sikh event.

The repeated disruptions drew strong objections from Sikh organizations including the Amritsar-based Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami described it as a “challenge to social harmony.” Dhami added that it is completely unacceptable to view the religious traditions of the Sikh community with a hateful mindset. The SGPC President added Nagar Kirtan is one of the sacred religious traditions of the Sikh culture and opposing it is an attack on the Sikh faith’s humanitarian values. Dhami also commented that it is also a huge challenge to mutual coexistence and social harmony. The SGPC Chief urged the governments of India and New Zealand to take stringent actions against those responsible.

Delhi News: Mercury Set to Plunge to 2°C as Cold Wave and Thick Fog Blankets North India, Keep THESE Precautions in Mind While Driving

Delhi News
Google

Delhi News: Delhi and northern India are engulfed in severe winter conditions, with a further decline in temperature expected to hit 2°C, following the prevailing weather patterns. The cold wave and thick fog that engulf the region result in reduced visibility, thereby hindering the smooth flow of activities in the region, including traffic and trains.

Extreme Cold Wave Stretches Its Hold Over North India

The cold wave has intensified due to ice-carrying Himalayan winds. This has resulted in minimum temperatures being well below average. These states are worst-affected: Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The morning and late night are quite cold. Winter advisories due to cold weather have been issued.

Dense Fog Affects Road, Train, and Air Traffic

The roads have been engulfed in thick fog, especially during early morning periods. This reduces levels of visibility to alarming proportions, making road accidents likely as vehicles move in slow motion. Trains have been running late, and flights at major airports have been delayed as a result of reduced visibility.

WHY IS THE TEMPERATURE FALLING SHARPLY

What caused such a significant drop in the mercury, according to meteorologists? The major factor was the clear sky at night, calm winds near the surface, and a steady flow of cold air from the northwest.

With these factors in play, it becomes easy to lose heat from the Earth’s surface, thus leading to freezing conditions at night and in the morning.

A compilation of some important precautions while driving during fog and low-temperature conditions:

Motorists are recommended to reduce speed, turn on their low beam headlights or fog lights, and keep a safe distance between their vehicle and the one in front of it. They are also to avoid sudden brake application, observe lane markings, and turn on their indicators in good time when changing directions. Maintaining clean windshields and staying alert can prevent an accident. Pulling over to a safe location is better than continuing to drive in case of poor visibility.

Health Advisory During Extreme Cold

Doctors advise that people need to wear layered clothing, keep their heads and hands covered, as well as stay hydrated. Elderly people, children, and patients suffering from respiratory disorders are advised to stay away from cold exposure.

What to Expect Over the Next Few Days

Weather experts say cold wave conditions will continue for the next few days, with fog persisting in the mornings and nights. A gradual rise in temperatures is expected only after a change in wind patterns.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3: Weekend Numbers Disappoint, Prabhas Flick Stung Hard By Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar ?

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3
Google

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3: Prabhas latest outing in the Pan-India space, “The Raja Saab“, had an incredible opening weekend but could not maintain that speed even in its first weekend. In the third-day performance of horror-comedy as it contested for its space in audience attention, the outcome did not fulfil the expectation as the “Dhurandhar” series topped.

Starting with Big Hits Builds Big Expectations

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 3: The Raja Saab had a Pan-India opening in Indian cinemas on January 9, 2026, and the advance booking and first-day box office collection of the film are decent. The director of the film, Maruthi, included stars like Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, and others in the film, and it earned a decent collection of ₹53.75 crores on the first day.

Day 2 & Day 3 Collection Trend” is a feature

Though there was an onset, the amount of collection decreased considerably. On Day 2, it collected approximately ₹26 crores. There is a clear reduction in the amount of collection compared to the earlier day. This reduction tendency continued on Day 3, which is Sunday, and it collected ₹20.12 crores. This further decreased the overall collection in three days to ₹109 crores in India and ₹158.75 crores worldwide.

On the other side, another competing movie that has emerged is “Dhurandhar” starring Ranveer Singh – an action-spy thriller – which was recently released in early December 2025 and has reached its 38th day; with the movie alone collecting more than ₹1250 crores in the global market and still generating steady box office collections in the country.

Analysis: Word of Mouth and Expectations

Industry trackers feel that The Raja Saab is facing challenges in the Hindi-speaking market in terms of mixed word of mouth and audience response. Even as Prabhas’ stardom ensured an encouraging opening, word of mouth suggests it is a film that perhaps failed to reach the common man.

Since “Dhurandhar” is still performing well, and there seems to be a trend that indicates a fall in weekend numbers for “The Raja Saab,” it would be interesting to observe what happens in the coming weeks in terms of box office numbers for the horror comedy.

ISRO-Hyperspectral Imaging

The PSLV-C62 includes satellites that are equipped with out-of-the-box hyperspectral imaging tech. This can help India with precision agriculture by assisting farmers of the country can monitor crop health, pest infestations and soil moisture in real-time. This would help boost farm yields amid climate changes. Moreover, it would also be beneficial to identify mineral deposits, aiding resource exploitation in mineral-rich states such as Rajasthan and Odisha.

On-Orbit Refuelling

Bengaluru startup OrbitAID Aerospace’s AayulSAT debuts the first on-orbit refuelling demonstrator of the country. Typically, satellites die when their fuel runs out. Now, it would be easier to refuel them in space, splashing launch costs and debris. This would help India extend the life of critical assets such as navigation as well as communication birds, saving millions in replacements.

MOI-1: World’s First Space Cybercafe and AI Lab

Hyderabad startups TakeMe2Space and Eon Space Labs bring MOI-1, India’s inaugural orbital AI-image laboratory. It would allow anyone to rent processor time for as low as just $2 (Rs 180) per minute. This would help slash barriers to space data analysis, which would eliminate the requirement for expensive ground stations.

MIRA: Featherweight Telescope

Nestled in MOI-1 is MIRA, Eon Space Labs‘ 502-gram fused silica telescope that is the world’s lightest telescope. It is integrated with the artificial intelligence lab to capture and analyze images seamlessly. Donald Trump: United States President Donald Trump has remarked that the Iranian regime has crossed its line by committing atrocities against its innocent citizens. Trump added that Washington is constantly reviewing situation in the Middle East nation with updates landing on his desk every hour.

The 47th US President also said that USA is presently evaluating a series of possible responses to the crackdown of Ali Khamenei on demonstrators.

Donald Trump-Enough is Enough

Trump added that some opposition leaders of Iran have contacted him. The US President said he would soon have a meeting with them but he would like to give Iran some piece of action before the meeting.

Many experts believe that the Trump administration may consider military strikes against the Iranian regime, placing more sanctions on Iran, deploying secretive cyber weapons against civilian and military sites of the Islamic Republic and boosting anti-government sources online.

It has been reported that many in the US military have warned Trump that haste actions may undermine the protests and the military strikes against Iran may backfire.

In another development, Trump has remarked that he would have a word with Elon Musk on providing Starlink internet services in Iran to help restore connectivity in the country.

Till now, more than 600 Iranians have been brutally killed by the present-day government. US-based rights group HRANA said more than 10,600 individuals have been arrested illegally by the Iranian government in two weeks of unrest. The protests in Iran started on December 28 in response to rising inflation and falling value of the Iranian Rial against the United States dollar. Later, nationwide protests soon transformed into demonstrations against the clerical establishment of Iran.

Images of dozens of body bags were broadcasted by the Iranian state television, attributing the casualties to those of “armed terrorists.”

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti 2026: On the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the supreme Hinduism guide for his immense contributions for the welfare of India, the common man and the world at large.

post on X, Adityanath said the role of Swami Vivekananda Ji is significant. He remarked it was Vivekananda who re-established the Sanatan culture on the global stage.

Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, which is celebrated as the National Youth Day in India, calls for the holistic upliftment and welfare of humanity.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti 2026: Contributions of Swami

Born Narendranath Datta in 1863, Swami Vivekananda fused Vedanta philosophy with modern science. He urged youth of the nation to harness ancient wisdom for progress. The electrifying 1893 Chicago speech of Swami Vivekananda introduced Hinduism to the West.

Vivekananda championed the cause of education as self-realization, founding the famous Ramakrishna Mission in 1897 to blend service with knowledge. In 1897, he met Jamsetji Tata and inspired the industrialist to establish the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru.

Funded by Tata’s steel empire, IISc has become the premier research hub of Asia, pioneering advancements in aerospace, biotech and artificial intelligence. The vision of Swami Vivekananda extended to other centres. His vision influenced the founding of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs) ethos and supported early physics labs that evolved into institutions like the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).

Vivekananda mesmerized Nikola Tesla with Vedantic concepts of energy and infinity during New York meetings in the 1890s. Tesla credited Vivekananda for validating his alternating current theories through ancient Prana (life force) ideas, fuelling his wireless energy dreams. Satyendra Nath Bose, father of Bose-Einstein condensate, drew from Vivekananda’s writings on unity of matter and spirit. Bose’s revolutionary quantum statistics (Bose-Einstein statistics) stemmed from Vedantic oneness, earning Einstein’s collaboration and inspiring modern quantum computing.

Lohri 2026 Fire Rituals Explained: DYK? Most People Get THESE Things Wrong About The Bonfire Tradition

Lohri 2026 Fire Ritual Explained
Photo Created with Gemini

Lohri is one of North India’s most colourful and soulful festivals. Every year on January 13, families gather to light bonfires, sing folk songs, dance, and enjoy traditional sweets. But behind the music and celebrations lies a deeper meaning that many people often miss. Lohri 2026 is not just about warmth or fun. It carries cultural, spiritual and seasonal significance that has been passed down for centuries.

While most people associate Lohri with dancing and festive foods, the heart of the celebration is always the bonfire. This year, the festival falls on Tuesday (January 13, 2026) with Lohri timings at 03:13 PM on January 14 ahead of Makar Sankranti, according to Drik Panchang. The bonfire is more than a source of light or heat. It is a symbol of gratitude, hope and the natural cycles of life.

Lohri 2026: Understanding The Bonfire Rituals

The central ritual of Lohri 2026 is the bonfire. As evening sets in, families and neighbours gather around the flames, throwing sesame seeds (til), jaggery (gur), peanuts, popcorn and seasonal foods into the fire. Each offering carries its own meaning.

The fire represents Agni Dev (the Hindu fire god) and is believed to purify the environment while carrying prayers to the heavens. By tossing food into the flames, people express gratitude for their harvest and pray for health, prosperity and success in the year ahead.

Lohri also marks a seasonal transition. The festival celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of longer, warmer days. The flames of the bonfire symbolise warmth returning to the world and hope rising after the coldest time of the year. Many families view it as a chance to leave behind worries and invite positivity, renewal and protection into their lives.

Some people also believe that the offerings to the fire reach Surya Dev (the Sun God), ensuring a good harvest and continued agricultural abundance. This ties Lohri deeply to its roots as a harvest festival that honours crops like wheat, mustard and sugarcane.

What Most People Get Wrong About Lohri Rituals

Despite its popularity, several misconceptions about Lohri persist. Many assume that it is only a Punjabi festival, but it is celebrated across northern India, including Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Another common misunderstanding is about the legend of Dulla Bhatti. While his story is often sung during Lohri, it is a folk tale rather than the festival’s origin. The true essence of Lohri lies in seasonal gratitude, community bonding and ritual offerings.

Finally, many think the bonfire is simply to keep warm. In reality, its primary role is symbolic and spiritual. The fire represents renewal, togetherness, protection and gratitude.

By inserting names of Guru Sahibs in Atishi’s fake video, BJP has committed beadbi: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched a strong rebuttal to the BJP over the tempering of former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi’s Delhi Assembly video, declaring it a deliberate conspiracy to provoke communal unrest in Punjab. The Chief Minister said the video was edited with false subtitles, an act of beadbi (sacrilege), and pointed out that forensic findings have conclusively established that Atishi never used the word “Guru.”

Defending the Punjab Police action over beadbi of Guru Sahibs, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the falsified clip does not figure anywhere in the official Assembly records and pointed out that the BJP is pursuing an anti-Punjab agenda on issues ranging from Chandigarh and BBMB to Panjab University, while opposition leaders, he remarked, were scrambling to defend lies in the absence of any real issue against the state government.

Addressing a press conference in Bhatinda, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Ever since its inception, the BJP has pursued the politics of communalism, divisiveness and hatred. With the Assembly elections approaching, the party has started implementing this agenda in Punjab to divide people on sectarian lines. The BJP had morphed the video of the former Delhi Chief Minister by inserting its own subtitles. Even the forensic investigation has clearly established that the word ‘Guru’ was never used by the AAP leader.”

The Chief Minister said that misrepresenting facts to suit political needs was an old strategy of the saffron party and that this act had deeply hurt the sentiments of the Sikh sangat. “By morphing the video, they have committed sacrilege. This is intolerable and they will be punished for their sins,” he said, adding that the video being morphed was evident as the words attributed to the former Delhi Chief Minister did not appear in the official proceedings of the House.

Referring to BJP leader Kapil Mishra, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The leader who uploaded the morphed video on social media will have to face the consequences of his actions. The Punjab Police had rightly registered a case against him. There is no issue of any Delhi Assembly privilege here. He has been booked for hurting the sentiments of the common people and he will face action strictly as per law.”

Citing the BJP’s anti-Punjab stand on issues such as Chandigarh, BBMB, Panjab University, Republic Day tableaus and other matters, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the saffron party’s mindset towards Punjab was hostile. “Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh, state BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu are in an awkward situation today as they are forced to justify the BJP’s enmity towards Punjab through a bundle of lies,” he added.

The Chief Minister said the BJP and its leadership had little respect for the great Sikh Guru Sahibs, adding, “The Prime Minister never even found time to accept the invitation to attend events commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas (martyrdom anniversary) of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Neither the Prime Minister nor any senior central leader visited Punjab to pay obeisance during these events. This reflects a narrow and myopic mindset towards Sikhs and our great Guru Sahibs.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Congress, Akali Dal and BJP were following the same line against Punjab and its government. “These parties even issue identical press notes at different times during the day only to spread venom against the state government,” he added.

Slamming Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Sukhbir Badal is shedding crocodile tears over Punjab’s issues, but these are the same leaders who consented to granting central university status to Panjab University and who hailed Modi for the draconian farm laws.”

He said these parties were responsible for patronising drug smugglers and gangsters in the past, adding, “Even today, they continue to give party tickets to gangsters.” Taking a jibe at former Congress Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Randhawa should remember that his father had congratulated former PM Indira Gandhi for Operation Bluestar. The sitting Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur represented the same Congress party that had carried out Operation Bluestar at the holiest Sikh shrine.”

The Chief Minister said that in the absence of any real issue against the Punjab government, opposition leaders had lost their mental balance. “Despite this, my government remains fully committed to the welfare of every section of society and no stone is being left unturned to ensure inclusive development,” he said.

Highlighting achievements in education, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Government schools are being upgraded into Schools of Eminence and, due to the sustained efforts of the state government, Punjab has secured the top position nationwide in the National Assessment Survey conducted by the Government of India, surpassing Kerala for the first time. From government schools, 848 students have qualified NEET, 265 have cleared JEE Mains and 45 have cleared JEE Advanced.”

The Chief Minister said principals and teachers were being sent to Singapore, Finland and Ahmedabad for professional training. On religious matters, he said, “I will appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib on January 15 with all facts. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is sacred for every Sikh and is the highest temporal seat of our community.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann unequivocally asserted, “For me, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji is above everything and any order received from there will be obeyed in true letter and spirit. Its command was, is and will always remain supreme for me and my family. It is a highly revered place from where Sikhs derive divine peace and strength.”

Clarifying the constitution of an SIT to probe the 328 missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Chief Minister said, “There is no politics behind forming the SIT. Only those who have committed this sin are afraid of the probe. The SGPC was elected around 14 years ago and has continued to function despite many members having passed away or moved abroad,” and said misleading statements were made by SGPC authorities whenever it suited their interests.

Jaipur to Get Rajasthan’s First Bio-Waste De-Compost Plant, CBG Gas to Be Available at ₹62 per Kg

In a major boost to sustainable waste management and green energy, Jaipur is set to host Rajasthan’s first bio-waste de-compost plant at Muhana Mandi. The ambitious project aims to convert organic waste into Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), offering a cleaner and cheaper fuel alternative while improving waste disposal systems in the state capital.

Jaipur to Get Rajasthan’s First Bio-Waste De-Compost Plant

According to officials, the plant will process nearly 50 tonnes of green waste daily generated from the Muhana wholesale market. This waste will be used to produce CBG gas, which can be directly utilized in CNG vehicles. The bio gas is expected to be available at an affordable rate of around ₹62 per kilogram, making it significantly cheaper than conventional CNG currently available in the market.

CBG Gas to Be Available at ₹62 per Kg

The project, estimated to cost ₹28 crore, has already received approval from the government. Construction is expected to be completed within seven months, and the plant is likely to be commissioned by August 2026. Once operational, it will become the first facility in Rajasthan to independently produce CBG gas from bio-waste.

Officials believe the initiative will address multiple challenges simultaneously—effective disposal of green waste, production of renewable energy, and generation of organic manure for farmers. The by-products of the plant will be used as fertilizer, providing additional benefits to the agricultural sector.

Before finalizing the plan, a Mandi Samiti team conducted detailed studies of successful bio-waste and biogas models in Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad. After evaluating various systems, the Surat model was found to be the most efficient and has been adopted for implementation in Jaipur.

For the project, around 8 bighas of land near the mandi office have been allocated to the company. While the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is yet to be finalized, officials confirmed that under the agreement, 50% of the revenue generated will go to the Mandi Samiti. The plant is expected to produce nearly 2,000 kg of CBG gas daily.

This initiative marks a significant step toward clean energy, circular economy, and sustainable urban development in Jaipur and Rajasthan as a whole.

Anurag Dhanda Cites Forensic Report, Calls Kapil Mishra’s Video on Atishi ‘Edited and Fake’

Aam Aadmi Party’s National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda has made a strong statement over the controversy surrounding an alleged video involving Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi, claiming that forensic investigation has exposed the video as manipulated.

Anurag Dhanda Cites Forensic Report

Quoting the findings of a Punjab Police forensic examination, Anurag Dhanda said that Atishi had never used the word ‘Guru’ in her statement, contrary to the claims made by BJP leader Kapil Mishra. He asserted that the video shared by Mishra was edited and fabricated, a fact that has now been clearly established through forensic analysis.

Calls Kapil Mishra’s Video on Atishi ‘Edited and Fake’

Speaking to media, Dhanda stated that the forensic report conclusively proves that the video circulating on social media was altered with malicious intent. He accused Kapil Mishra of deliberately spreading misinformation to inflame sentiments and target AAP leaders through misleading content.

“The Punjab Police forensic investigation has clearly revealed that the video is fake and edited. Kapil Mishra shared a manipulated clip to falsely accuse Atishi,” Dhanda said, adding that such actions amount to deliberate misinformation and character assassination.

The AAP leader further emphasized that the party has consistently demanded accountability in the matter and urged authorities to take strict action against those responsible for circulating doctored videos. According to Dhanda, the incident raises serious concerns about the misuse of edited content to influence public opinion and disturb social harmony.

The controversy has intensified political tensions in Delhi, with AAP leaders rallying behind Atishi and reiterating their demand for action against Kapil Mishra. The party has maintained that the forensic findings should put an end to the allegations and expose what it calls a “politically motivated attempt” to malign its leadership.

The issue continues to draw sharp reactions across political circles, as questions around misinformation, digital manipulation, and accountability remain at the center of the debate.
